"Rented the balcony for Cinco de Mayo for a post wedding party - not the reception. While in my contract, I went through two different coordinators, who clearly gave me different visions of what the night would look like. Not only was there confusion about costs, I ended up paying $1k out of pocket for the evening - even though our minimum was met by those who attended paid out of pocket for their food and beverages. Clearly, the minimum that I was told I needed to meet was not appropriately discussed. Both food and drinks were extremely overpriced, and on an evening that was meant to be fun and celebrate, I instead had to worry over costs the entire night. Feedback was given, but I was told that it was a misunderstanding on my end and that I was still responsible for it all. Though I have always had a place in my heart for Havana and their delicious mojitos, I will never again be supporting their business. Extremely dissatisfied."

Let me preface my review by saying I was mainly at Havana 59 to DRINKI had the pleasure of visiting during a bar crawl.

The food is ok. The Black Bean soup was REALLY GOOD!! The service needs some.work. My husband waited 10 minutes for a beer to get to the table and the place wasn't packed. It didn't make sense. View menu

Such a great, immersive experience. Reserving a table online was so easy they offer inside and outside and also offer a cigar smoking section that?s quite separate from the rest of the diners. The food was tasty and fresh, such a great way to spend a Friday night.

Havana '59 surprised me by being a little more pricey than I expected. The food is good, and the atmosphere really screams Cuba, from the occasional whiff of smoke from the cigar room, to the sounds of the weekly salsa dancing, Havana is an authentic, albeit, overpriced evening escape to Cuba.

We visited the restaurant on Friday eve and it was lovely and lively with Cuban vibe. Ordered couple of their specialty cocktails and they did their job well. Their menu is not very vegetarian friendly but still staff managed to get us 3-4 appetizers which were delicious. Cuban style nachos and Spanish pizza were a hit and also the dip served with sweet potato fries.. The decor of restaurant with palm trees and ceiling fans tries to give life to Cuban vibe. Seeing all the good reviews online we decided try out Havanna 59 on our trip to Richmond. The location, atmosphere, service and the drinks were good, the food was avarage at best. Nothing tasted fresh. The pork morsels tasted like they were cooked days ago and then just refried to order, the cilantro sauce was good. My husband had the Ropa Vieja, I had the Paella. The fried plantains accompanying the Ropa Vieja had no flavor and were super dry, the beans tasted like canned

"I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I have to say I was very disappointed in my dining experience at Adarra. It’s difficult to get a reservation there, so once I was able to, I had extremely high expectations. The drinks were excellent, so no complaints there. The food, however, was not. We ordered the toasted almonds, peppers, cheese plate, tuna belly, anchovy dish, tomato salad, and gnocchi. The almonds and peppers were good, although I have to say they were on the simpler side. The tuna belly made me think I was eating quality tuna from a can soaked in olive oil. That’s the best way I can describe it. It was a bit tough and on the dry side, and I didn’t finish it. I don’t usually eat anchovies since I’m not a fan of the typical fishy taste, but was assured that their version wasn’t fishy at all the way they prepare it. I ate a piece or two but couldn’t finish it. Soaking the anchovies in olive oil did not hide the fishy taste. Some people may like that fishy taste, but I definitely didn’t. The cheese plate was okay. The crackers weren’t anything special, and the amount of cheese was pretty minuscule. The tomato salad was actually the only thing I ordered that was delicious, and the only thing we actually finished. After being at the restaurant for almost two hours, the gnocchi had still not come out. We told our waitress we didn’t want it and decided to leave. I heard so many great things about Adarra and had such high hopes. But after such a disappointing meal that we paid over $200 for, we will not be returning."
