"Rented the balcony for Cinco de Mayo for a post wedding party - not the reception. While in my contract, I went through two different coordinators, who clearly gave me different visions of what the night would look like. Not only was there confusion about costs, I ended up paying $1k out of pocket for the evening - even though our minimum was met by those who attended paid out of pocket for their food and beverages. Clearly, the minimum that I was told I needed to meet was not appropriately discussed. Both food and drinks were extremely overpriced, and on an evening that was meant to be fun and celebrate, I instead had to worry over costs the entire night. Feedback was given, but I was told that it was a misunderstanding on my end and that I was still responsible for it all. Though I have always had a place in my heart for Havana and their delicious mojitos, I will never again be supporting their business. Extremely dissatisfied."

"The service was mediocre. Waitress was extremely slow, ordering entree took much longer than expected. Order alcohol drinks, which sat at the bar for a longer period of time than usual. Celebrated 2 birthday guests at our table. All in our party have dinned at Havana 1957 Pembroke pines numerous times before, unfortunately this experience was not the best. Food was ok, seemed like the food sat in the kitchen window as when the food arrived at our table, food was warm/ almost cold. It was very warm inside of the restaurant, not as comfortable as in our previous experience. The photos that the photographer took of our table was horrible and rushed . Majority of the pictures came out horrible with photo spots on a lot of the prints."

"Great location, very good service and thats where it ends. The margaritas are so bitter you can’t taste the alcohol, even when you ask for hi-end spirits you can’t get past the bitter mix. Margaritas are easy Easy, tequila, fresh squeezed juice, simple syrup, an orange flavored liquor, weather it’s triple sec, Cointreau or Grand Marnier. Add the salt, it’s pretty simple. “Rib Eye” Fajita? It was so overcooked and salty. The vegetable were overcooked but accountable compared to the “ribeye”. The taco salad was average. Price extra for chips and salsa...."

"This place is a whole vibe!!! The outside patio is very cute, perfect for a date night or girls day drinking. Whew but I loved it. My husband and daughter had a great time. We started with some margaritas and the special of the day ceviche it was delicious. My husband had Ropa vieja and I had the Cochinita Pibil. My daughter had the cheeseburger sliders. We also had a side of rice and beans, Elote and dessert. We tried the cookie skillet with ice cream, churros and tres leche. The service was great thanks to Jayden (not sure how to spell his name) and the food was phenomenal. We will definitely will return!!!"

"Exceptional food in an authentic, non-demanding environment. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful, which added to the great experience. For bread lovers, there are 3 different breads, all of which are made there and are all wonderful. I stop on the way out of town to pick up bread and take it home to friends. My salad was fabulous and the vodka chicken pasta (a specialty) was cooked perfectly with a wonderful sauce. The specials change with the seasons. Desserts are all made there and everyone looked great. We share the ice cream on Sunday with homemade caramelized marshmallows and chocolate ganache. It was wonderful. You can share it with 4 people as it is very large. We will definitely have dinner here again when we return to Mayo and Golf."

"Food here was surprisingly very good. The fried plantain chips were crunchy and similar to a thick kettle chip crispy. The salad was mostly iceberg lettuce but the sauce and accompanying ingredients made a refreshing dish. The salmon, a fish very easily overcooked, was delightfully tender without being raw. The side of asparagus could be charred a little less. Mashed potatoes have a hidden spiciness to them! The beer soaked brown sugar drunken ribeye steak was pretty good overall, however they didn't ask how we wanted it cooked. When asked, they said they cook a tender pink medium steak but did not take a request to make it medium rare. Strangely while most of the steak was a tender medium consistency, a smaller side portion was closer to a better medium rare to rare consistency. The cheesecake was pretty good overall. The warm chocolate cake was a bit dry on the sides but delicately smooth like pudding. The desserts had a contrasting tart sauce that overpowered the cheesecake just a little bit."

"Despite having reservations, we waited thirty minutes to be seated and then the mad rush by the waitress to get us to order and get out ASAP began. We were never asked how our food was or hey , can I get anything else for you . Just seemed very odd. Having tried cuban food over the years, I can say that the paella was under cooked and the empandas ' were so-so. The fish ceviche was only shrimp..no other fish ceviche choice, sorry to say. But oh well, will not return since there are may other similar restaurants in the area with much better food and service."

Can you say FRESH crab??? Not imitation!! Seriously, if you like seafood you have to try their seafood cocktail. It's such a relaxing place to eat--kinda gives you the feeling of escaping the city. There's this huge tree in the middle that gives it an oasis-type vibe. "So I love this place and the bartender George. I had the best old fashioned and when I asked him what he used, he explained he makes his own simple syrup and even try to give me the recipe. I told him there was no way I was going to try that at home and I would much rather simply come back and order some drinks from him.The food was incredibly tasty. The only thing I would suggest for the Thai sweet chili fries is to do the sauce on the side. They were super delicious for the first 10 or 20 minutes, but as we were still picking on them they got soggy and I don't think they would have been great in the air fryer if we had tried to take them home.The Southwest chicken was to die for, and the coconut shrimp appetizer was outstanding. Everything is very tasty.They have their own parking lot and the bathrooms are single occupancy, so you can use either gender if you really need to.It is on the small side with a few tables and about a dozen or more bar seats, but sometimes it's slow getting service because the bartenders are also the wait staff and food runners and busers... This is definitely a more chill place to be, I would not go if you are in a rush.There is a good group of locals that frequent here. There is an all-day happy hour on Thursdays, and every other day it's 4:00 to 7:00."

"This restaurant is on my way so I've stopped by a few times to get a breakfast sandwich, mariquitas and cafe con leche.The lady at the register is usually friendly and is fast to get the order out.I have ordered ahead and picked up at the restaurant and they have been accurate.The food has been goo, as for the Cafe Con Leche, it is very sweet, then again I am not used to put much sugar on drinks so it could be me on this last observation.I did not like that they use Styrofoam cups and containers, they are not good for peoples health specially for hot drinks or food, as for cold items they might be ok.I do like that they have a large eating space and it is handicap ready.Parking is also free in their parking lot, there is also space to park on the street if parking lot is full.I would like the change on the use of Styrofoam but it is just my opinion.The food has been good so I will come back.Parking: free parking"

"This restaurant offers an authentic Cuban experience, complete with fantastic mojitos. I visited on a Tuesday around 7:30 PM and was seated immediately, even without a reservation. The restaurant only has indoor seating, but there is also bar seating available. They accept credit cards, and there's plenty of parking in the lot. They feature a happy hour on weekdays. The staff was very friendly, and our food arrived fairly quickly. The El Criollo dish is perfect for sharing between two people and comes with rice, plantains, and black beans, with the meats served separately on one platter. The overall atmosphere is casual and family-friendly."

"Ate here w our kids and had a nice meal. Kids had a buffet designed for them which worked out great and. Ore higher end restaurants should heed this call. $15 each but included lots of choices which kids love as well as deserts and a drink. I had the swordfish which was a bit overdone and a bit tasteless. My wife had the filet which was served over a tomatoe based medley of zucchini and squash which really didn't go with it very well. Read reviews and told side of Russell sprouts was roasted but they arrived steamed and again tasteless. All in the best part of the meal was our excellent waiter. Ate at pacific grille the night before and that meal was a lot tastier."
