"I used to enjoy going to this restaurant, but an experience I had today has soured me on the establishment. I had in hand a coupon from a local publication indicating I could receive 1/2 off on a lunch combo. My wife and I ordered from the lunch combomenu, but when I went to pay, I noticed that the price was higher than that listed on the menu. The reason? It was a Sunday andthe very fine print on the menu indicates that lunch combos are only available Monday through Saturday. Worse, the fellow at theregister would not accept my coupon, even at the higher price, despite the fact that there was no indication that it was notvalid on Sunday. I blame the server to some extent for not pointing out that the lunch combos were not available on Sunday.All-in-all, a very disappointing experience and an example of poor customer relations."

"I do have one suggestion: it would be great if Mexican restaurants served their chips and salsa warm, as it really elevates the dining experience. We will definitely return to sample more dishes from the menu! I wanted to add a bit more to my review. On September 18, 2021, we came back to celebrate my husband's 66th birthday and brought his sister along, since we had been raving about this place to her. She lives just a short walk away but hadn’t visited until now. The young man working there was incredibly kind—he opened the door for us and helped us find a table that accommodated all of us, as my sister-in-law uses a wheelchair, my husband had a rollator, and I use a cane. The service was quick, and as always, the food was hot and absolutely amazing! My sister-in-law immediately fell in love with Arturo's, and they did not disappoint. She mentioned she would definitely come back and joked that if she could, she'd be there every day, wishing they would deliver to her since she would be ordering daily! Overall, we left as happy new customers. My husband was thrilled to celebrate his birthday in such a fantastic place with delicious food. Thank you!"

"I ordered from the online menu and was in for a big surprise. The prices listed were completely inaccurate. One item I ordered online was priced at $16.25, but I was charged $23.00 when I received my bill. Another item that was $10.45 online ended up costing $14.50. After tax, my total should have been $28.78, but it came to $40.47 instead—a difference of $11.69. They really need to update their online menu to reflect the correct prices. I can't speak to the quality of the food since I was so disappointed by the pricing."

"I've been a customer for 27 years. During the last few years the food and cleanliness has gone downhill. Something is wrong with the salsa. It bubbles like it's carbonated and the bubbles make noise! I've had to return the salsa the last three times I bought it as it goes bad the next day (it never used to do that). Also, the last time I dined in there was at least a half an inch of black dust on all the decor and lights. Unfortunately, I won't be back again."

"Merchants is part of the lively downtown Lawrence scene which makes it a fun place to have dinner. The menu is varied with choices for nearly every discerning diner. We had both salmon and cod and the preparation was excellent, especially the salmon. The salad was excellently and creatively prepared and the homemade dressing served as a nice complement to the variety of greens. Service is always excellent at Merchants and this evening was no exception. The only thing that kept this from being a perfect dining experience was that I was seated under an air conditioning vent and I was extremely uncomfortable throughout the dining experience. Nevertheless, it was a near perfect dining outing and a restaurant that I can highly recommend"

"I visited the restaurant with a friend and ordered enchiladas with ground beef. Upon tasting the beef, I realized it was spoiled, and my friend agreed after trying it as well. We informed our waitress, who took the plate back to the kitchen. After about 10 minutes, she returned without much explanation about the bad meat. She mentioned that other customers had ordered it without issue and didn’t seem particularly concerned. We requested our check, which still included the enchiladas, and went to pay at the front. When we told the woman at the register about the spoiled meat, she also seemed unbothered. Her only response was that it was a closed ticket and she couldn’t make any changes. So we ended up paying for the rotten enchiladas! We were informed that the manager was not available either. Just five minutes into our drive home, I started feeling very nauseous and had to be sick as soon as I got home. Suffice it to say, we won’t be returning!"

"Went with family for my aunt’s birthday. No one was at the host station to seat us and when someone did come it was one of the waiters. After a few minutes we got the salsa and chips. However, as we are waiting there was constant singing. I don’t mindlive entertainment but it seemed like the band was playing to almost every table. Fifteen to 20 more minutes pass by and thewaiter comes by to get our drinks. When the drinks finally come, only two come because the iced tea is “freshly brewed”.Both drinks are watered down. As the waiter takes our order we feel a sense of being rushed? And forget about asking anyquestions pertaining to the dish you want, it won’t really be answered. We eventually decided to walk out after waiting foranother twenty minutes(the place was NOT packed at all and the other drinks STILL had not come out yet. As we are about to walkaway the waiter states our food is “almost done” “it’s already done” and we ask for it to go. He clearly packs it uphurriedly so we can pay and go. DO NOT PAY WITH CARD! We read that they like to dip in and take tip amounts off your card whenthey feel like it. Anyways, my mother’s food was cold (how when you claimed it was just made? fried calamari shouldn’t becold… the food didn’t smell right from the bag, the beans looked terrible and cold. We won’t be coming here again. Just goto Cast Iron down the way!!"

"La Costita is an amazing place to eat. Yolanda and Genisis are amazing servers and give all customers a great experience. Yolanda is kind, attentive and helpful and has an amazing personality and attitude. She is a huge reason we come back time after time. Genisis is always so nice and is always on top of things. He has been amazing and personable since I started coming 7/8 years ago. Wouldn't trade them for the world. Food: 5"

"I've always enjoyed the food and service. I visited again with a friend and was extremely disappointed with the service. I ordered my usual frozen margarita and was surprised when I observed the bartender doing everything but preparing it. The only other patrons were at one table, party of six. I asked the waitress several times about my margarita; she started the guy was making it. Thirty minutes later I observed him turning the margarita machine off and on several times. No one told me there was a problem with it ... Finally after 35 minutes I was served a margarita over ice... No explanation...."

"My favorite neighborhood Mexican food joint in Vancouver. Their margaritas taste excellent. Their salsa has personality. I like the carnitas burrito better than the macho. I'm also fond of the Chile Colorado and steak fajitas. The largest selection of base spirits for a Mexican restaurant. A decent selection of mixers and liqueurs. Los Potrillos has a fabulous staff. They treat you really well. Especially if you sit at the bar. PRO Tip: Their Happy Hour is the best in Vancouver. A medium Cadillac margarita is only $9! "The birria quesadilla was amazing! I devoured a third of it, along with half the chips on the table, which were served with delicious salsa and bean dip. The guacamole was tasty as well. The restaurant was clean and decorated nicely for Easter, and the server was friendly and attentive. However, I wasn't a big fan of the margarita; it tasted like a mix and was a bit watered down. "I had dinner at La Palma last night, and I will definitely be back. While it may not be the best Mexican food I've ever had, it's a strong contender and could be the top spot for Mexican cuisine in Hermiston. The Mol Enchiladas had a unique and enjoyable flavor, although I found the sauce to be thinner than I prefer. The fried dishes were crispy, the chicken was juicy, and the guacamole tasted fresh, complementing everything nicely. One standout aspect was the reasonable pricing; despite current inflation, most dishes were around $10-$12. However, I do have one significant complaint: the rice was disappointing. It had a decent flavor, but I encountered some dry or undercooked grains that affected the overall dish. It seemed like it might not have been made fresh and could have been reheated old rice. Overall, I would rate my experience between 3 and 4 stars, but with better rice, it could have easily reached 5 stars."

"The food was fantastic and the service was just beyond and beyond. I would definitely recommend. The appetizers are huge, so I would recommend only one. The portions are huge. You also give a free desert and sing happy birthday when you go to your birthday. They sang my little sister's happy birthday and gave her a sombrero to wear. Every time I come back to visit Washington, I will definitely come back to this restaurant! 10/10!"
