"Google won 't let me give ZERO star rating for this filthy place. This is the worst and the most unhygienic places I have been into jersey city.We were served breads in a very old UNCLEANED basket which was clearly not washed in months. When I complained about this to the staff (two persons, one at a time), the literally laughed and took the container and went away. The other acted like he was on the phone and just went away. This was very very unacceptable, rude behavior and wrost customer service.This is the so called responsive staff members they have. I will not be visiting this place ever in my life. If you wanna have unhygienic, contaminated and filthy food, then go to this restaurant.VERY UNPROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE."

"I was there on a Friday night with couple of my friends visiting from another country, Because we did not have a reservation we had to wait about 10 minutes for a table to open up which made my friends a bit impatient, but they handed couple of complimentary drinks to make up for the wait so it all worked out fine. The food was just top notch. They prepare salads just as you order so makes a alot of difference. We will return as long as we are in New York in our next business trip."

"For our second visit, the host and staff cordially seated us in the dining room, attended to us promptly and afforded us a personal visit from the friendly owner. We had read that alcoholic beverages are now being served, a wonderful and anticipated change from our first visit. Bottled water with a basket of pita and chopped marinated red pepper were offered as a complimentary starter while we reviewed the options for our meals. The menu is extensive and the portions are ample. For an appetizer, my wife I enjoyed authentic falafel with humus and arugula accompanied with a sour cream topping. Unlike what we’ve eaten in other restaurants that serve this delicacy, our appetizer was savory, nicely presented and tasted better than any we’ve had in the Capital District. For our main dishes, my wife, a vegetarian, had the eggplant salad platter with baby baked potatoes, cherry tomatoes, ample cheese topping and a sizable green salad. My dinner meal was the branzino filets, delicately and artfully arranged mashed potatoes and a green salad. Both meals were served on large plates and very hot. Neither plate had any leftovers! Completing our meal were a serving of pistachio baklava and a pot of decaffeinated rooibos tea. The ambiance and excellent service by Sean made for an extremely favorable impression on us during this follow up visit. Needless to say, we highly recommend this restaurant, and we’ll be back!"

"As a picky Turkish foodie, I have to say this place is a must if you want experience great Turkish food in NYC. The staff is great and friendly! The service is spectacular! We started with the lentil soup and babaganoush. The soup had a perfect texture and tasted just like a homemade one. The babaganoush was fresh and delicious! For entree?s we went with the iskender and sultans delight. To be honest, I had some hesitations about the iskender due to my previousexperiences at other Turkish restaurants across US. However, the iskender here was perfect! I was very impressed by the taste. The hunkar begendi was great as well! They are pretty generous with their portions. We finished out meal withfreshly brewed Turkish tea and a great tasting Kazandibi as a desert. I highly recommend this place!"

"Celebrating my partners birthday with family and friends and decided to try Masala Zone. We all enjoyed the meal and the service. For appetizers we ordered the Vegetarian Platter, a nice mix of deep fried small bites and a Crispy Chili Corn which we never received and the servers didn't seem to be interested in providing. We did receive a Chicken 65 plate which for the vegetarians did not work. For our main entrees we ordered a Paneer Tikka Masala which was very good. A Thai Fish Curry which our friend enjoyed. A Matar Paneer which I ordered and enjoyed, thinking the spices could have been a bit stronger. A Lamb Tikka Masala which our son loved and a Channa Masala which was good. For bread we tried the Butter Naan, Lacha Paratha and Kashmiri Naan, all were quite good. Nice experience. Spices were a bit light."

"We arrived early before our reservation and found it quiet for a Friday night at We sat alone at the bar after seeing their window advertisement for happy hour and were greeted by the Maitre D who at the time seemed like the only employee there serving as host, bartender, and waiter. He told us the happy hour drink special was BOGO free! That was a great deal and my date and I took advantage with the (not so strong) cocktails. To pair with the drinks we got an open faced samosa that arrived looking like a boat filled with the Indian spices and potato filling- we had to pick it up to eat it! We eventually sat down at a nice corner window table and ordered the lamb and cheese croquettes- more lamb than we expected- it was tasty! And a chicken and lamb dish, and finally creme brûlÃe for dessert. The highlight of our meal was definitely the samosa. We did find it quite pricey for the extras, though: for a basket of naan and for a palm size serving of creme brûlÃe and it was a bit odd that it seemed like the manager was the only employee on a Friday night! Overall a good dining experience and will return to try their other dishes !"

"The Bronzino and Chicken Kebab are both flavorful and tasty dishes. They are superb! Also, the hummus is such a great complement to any meal salad, meat, fish doesnt matter, but the hummus has a creamy and soft flavor that enhances any dish. The shepherd salad is a classic with a good balance of dressing, and you can take the flavors up a step by adding feta cheese for the most authentic experience. "The service and ambiance here was excellent. The menu was very well rounded. We got filet mignon and Royal Red Shrimp to share with salads, sauteed garlic mushrooms and baked potato. There were baskets of a variety of breads and two kinds of butter. Truffles were provided at the end of the meal. It was a beautiful dining experience!"

"We ordered the brandino and the mixed grill. Food was really good. We had the kunafe (didn’t take a pic) for dessert, not the best we’ve had, especially for the price, but the food was on point. The service was really good too, our server offered to have the fish cut for us so that we didn’t have to deal with the bones, which I thought was a great option. Would definitely come again."

"My family of six was welcomed for dinner on Christmas Day. My children had never had Turkish food, now they love it. We ordered Doner Kebab, Chicken kebab, Iskender Kebab, Salmon, and hummus. "The Mixed Grill is fantastic! If it's your first time having Turkish food and you don't know what to choose, the platter gives you a generous amount of the most popular meats in The Turk's repertoire, so you don't have to choose one and worry you might not like it as much as another (which I realized wasn't a problem after I had some because they were all delicious They also have an awesome host. I was picking my food up and he greeted me and let me know my food would be out in a couple minutes. He offered me Turkish tea (on the house! and brought it out in a to-go cup for me to take in the car once my food was ready. While I sipped my tea and waited another customer came in to order food to go. The host helped the customer with figuring out what she wanted and since it was her first time, he gave her a dessert to take home and try, also on the house! The Turk has tasty food, kind staff, and I can't wait for my next meal there."

"We visit this restaurant at least 3-4 times a year because we have a large family and we love their food. However, our experience this time was disappointing. I've never been treated like this before; I had to ask the waitress multiple times to take our order, even though she was just standing around. The bread, which is usually amazing, was cold today. When I requested fresh bread instead, she completely ignored me. We also asked for water, but it took a long time to receive it. The food took a long time to arrive as well. Normally, I recommend this place to all my friends, but the service today was terrible and we felt largely ignored. I'm really upset about what happened."

"I ordered the mixed chicken platter and a large Mediterranean salad. The chicken was fresh and tasty, served with rice and roasted tomatoes. It was missing bulgur, but the menu indicated it was only available upon request. The Mediterranean salad was fresh, but unfortunately, they forgot the feta cheese. The salad seemed more like a basic mixed salad, rather than a true Mediterranean salad. Despite these small issues, the food was good overall. The meal came with plenty of pita bread and two sauces: a watery white sauce (possibly Turkish) and a tasty spicy sauce. I recommend this place, but make sure to double-check your order before leaving. Update: I had a great experience with the owner, who was attentive and caring. I'm upgrading my rating to 5 stars. We need more restaurants like this that value their customers. Thank you!"

"I absolutely loved my experience here! MashaAllah ! As soon as I walked in this restaurant, I was greeted with a kind good afternoon. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff were very friendly. I was seated immediately with no wait time, my waitress so so friendly and she was always present I didn't have to wonder where she went. The food came out within a reasonable time. I ordered their feta cheese plate, which was so savory with the added olives and olive oil. After wards I ordered the sirloin steak with rice, the steak was cooked to perfection and the spices were amazing. For desert I had the turkish coffee with baklava, the baklava was so crispy and crunchy and satisfying. I would recommend this establishment to everyone ! Lovely staff, lovely atmosphere, and amazing, high quality food. 10/10 amazing."

"We placed an order via Grubhub from Tutt Cafe and picked up at assigned time. The order process was not smooth because it got canceled and duplicated when we were picking up our order. The staff was friendly but not familiar with the issues caused by Grubhub which was frustrating. It was fixed in the end by Grubhub but was time-consuming. We had their Green Pitza, Leg of Lamb Plate and Baklava. The food was decent especially the leg of lamb. The lamb was cooked properly with no gamey taste even my husband who hates lamb finished his plate. We were disappointed with their baklava which was not the best in our experience and the filling was way too little."
