"first time at sals recently. seemed pretty busy which is always a good sign. employees were nice and welcoming. decided to try a plain pie, garlic knots and a meatball parm sub. pizza was great in all aspects and reheated really well too. good flavors and a good bite, I'd definitely recommend it. the knots were great too, very garlicky and not at all greasy. they too reheated really well. so the meatball sub. turns out I came home with a chicken parm sub. not the end of the world, obviously. tasted pretty good, it was covered in a ton of mozz so A+ for that. just gonna have to try again for the meatball sub next time."

"What really sets them apart, though, is the incredibly friendly, fast, and attentive service I have encountered here. As a long-time musician with years of experience performing in various restaurants and bars, I can confidently say I recognize outstanding service when I see it. The venue is always impeccably clean. The only downside is that it can get quite busy—especially since they are popular for children's parties—resulting in crowding during peak times. Nonetheless, even during these busier moments, we have consistently received excellent service. The management deserves praise for hiring and nurturing a fantastic team that makes dining in or taking out a consistently rewarding experience."

"Delicious pizza. The female with the glasses that works there has zero personality, very rude and no mannerism. I would have given this pizzeria a 5*, but i can't because of her. I try to give her the benefits that she was probably having a bad day the the first time she served me, but her personality was the same everytime since. "Have been ordering from here over 5 years. The past 3 times including tonight the quality went down hill for sure . My husband and I both noticed. Even tried mixing up my usual order to a few different things I’ve liked and tonight was the last time I’ll be ordering. The Alfredo sauce was watery and didn’t have a good flavor , I got maybe 4 shrimp in the whole dish. The stuffed clams are for sure frozen and had that freezer burn taste. For over $60 could have made it at home way better. This is unfortunate because I loved this restaurant and was my go to !! Really didn’t even care about the hour wait for the food because we know they get busy but after waiting so long I expected decent food. Not sure what happened maybe they switched owners : hopefully they’ll take all this feed back and switch things up"

"Absolutely loved the food! We ordered lasagna, spaghetti with meat sauce, fried calamari, and mozzarella sticks. We shared all this amongst three people so as to have variety. I would recommend this place but if you can order it for take out I would suggest that. The waiter didn't check on our table all that often but that wouldn't deter me from returning since the food was so good."

"?Ok I have to give an honest review just out of integrity. First of all the parking lot is valet only and $20. Even on a weekday, even in the day time. When I came in to discuss why my tab was so large from the previous day (after calling twice and being told they would get back to me, surprise no one did) there was this really creepy old man at the valley that made a joke about how they accept any type of payment while winking at me. I don’t know about you but I got the impression it was something nefarious he was referring too. Ick I literally vomited. ?I was able to get the tab thing settled(they charge 15% tip automatically, so I basically tipped twice) The manager Vincent was helpful because he said he wanted us to come back so he gave me back the difference, but I don’t know if I would want to ever go back…The vibe of that place is just off and if you are a young god fearing person just stay away from places like this entirely. I went because I was invited to a birthday party which was fun, but just be carful especially as a woman and even more especially if you don’t have people you trust around you.Also one of the waitresses was rude and looked disgusting when I passed her my drink glass so she could buss it. It was so odd because she was literally behind the bar area. Girl, I’m trying to make your job easier and you’re going to give me an attitude? Get over yourself.Just a weird place…"

"Ate here Valentine's Day and it was good solid Italian joint. Small menu (could have been the holiday menu) but nice specials. It's small and tight and very close seating. That would be ok and even charming but for the life of me why doesn't the owner invest in some dimmers. Man I'll even personally help him get some Mr16 fixtures and for maybe 1000 bucks it would totally up the vibe in this nineties inspired space. Ok so food was good and was a step up from the local pizza joint as expected. Pastas were really good and properly sauced and all that. Calamari looked like they breaded it themselves with their whole wheat crumbs which was excellent. I had the eggplant parm which seemed like someone spent hours every thinly slicing and properly preparing delicate eggplant slices for breading and frying. Personally I've had better versions but that might be a personal preference thing. Seemed very homemade and was tasty enough. Don't misinterpret my 3 stars I'll come back and that's for Italian that I can get at 10 other restaurants in a 10 mile radius. Yes the space is tired and PLEASE GET A DIMMER AND USE IT F9R THE LIGHTS. But it's one of those places that probably has the owner cooking in the back making solid good food and for a basic night out with a nice bottle of BYO it's a nice deal. If they update the setting and maybe refresh the food presentation this would easily be 4 stars."

"This place is a GEM! My family of four had dinner here on Saturday night and each of was in awe. Not only was the food fantastic, but the service was even better. Linda seated us and immediately treated us like family. She gave us a brief history on the restaurant and was also helpful in answering all of our questions about the menu selections. She is great at her job and very personable. Our group had the: Ravioli, Gnocchi Vodka Cream, Chicken Rosal’s and the Sicilian Fried Spaghetti. All I can say is WOW…just WOW. We’ve had a lot of Italian food throughout our lives, but this ranked up there as some of the best! We all tried each other’s dishes because everyone was bragging about how good their food was. We also tried a medley of desserts: canoli, tiramisu and oreo pie. They were amazing as well. The chef, Anival, came out to greet us and was so nice and humble at our compliments. At the end of the night, we were having trouble with our Uber app, so the owner helped and called us a cab. We chatted with him and found out he is a Navy Veteran…22 years of service to our country! He stayed and chatted with us while waiting for our ride and treated us as family. As other reviews mention, this place is not huge…but we loved the intimate family feel of it. I believe there is an upstairs as well, but we didn’t go up to check it out. This place is a definite must-go…and we will definitely be back. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation to be safe. Thanks to all of the staff for such a great evening for my family. Kudos!!!"

"We adore Umbertos! The food is so good! We have ordered from them for years. And it has consistently been wonderful! Real Italian food, home made right here in Pinellas county. We order it on Uber eats and they have always gotten our order perfect. Right down to the bread, they never forget anything! "I had a wonderful Valentine's Day lunch at this Italian restaurant on Park Avenue in Winter Park. Our server, Nick, who happens to be the owner's son, was absolutely delightful! We kicked off our meal with the antipasto salad, but I would suggest skipping that and opting for the bruschetta instead. For the main course, I had the linguini and clams in white sauce, which was full of clams and garlic. You can tell a dish is great when you find yourself mopping up the sauce with the bread! Speaking of which, the bread comes from a bakery in NYC and is simply perfect. There's also plenty of outdoor seating available. I highly recommend this place!"
