"Ok so I believe this place is a victim of Grub Hub. Grub Hub messes up an order, takes forever with the delivery and then the customer blames the restaurant and gives them a bad review. Because this place having 2 1/2 stars makes 0 sense to me. Is this the best Chinese food I've ever had? No but it's pretty damn solid for what it is. So that's the reason for my 5 star review it's really more of a 4 star place but I'm just kind of evening out the abysmal reviews they've gotten in the past tbh. Good things about this place. 1. It's not super expensive 2. It's actually open late (something that is incessantly rare in Boston, especially during Covid) 3. The food is honestly pretty good. It's not re-inventing the wheel or anything but it really does your average American-Chinese food well. 4. It's fast. I'm not really a delivery guy tbh with this place, I live way too close to do that. But when I order pick up it usually takes less than 10 minutes. I typically get one of the stir fries with fried rice and I honestly haven't one that's bad yet"

"Had an on-the-road, late post-conference dinner for one this evening, Maiko staff was friendly and engaging from minute one with my being immediately greeted and escorted to the bar by the owner himself from the front door. It’s a warm, stylish yet comfortable room, an atypical sushi house; a mix of Asian influences with a good bit of Texas influence. Had solid, fresh tuna sashimi and one of their signature rolls, chased with vodka and edamame. Will totally come back my next journey to ATX, Benny and his team have good thing going and there’s clearly good business from regular locals. Check it out!"

"We visit this restaurant often and are always pleased. We come with our kids sometimes and other times just the adults. The outdoor seating area is lovely and the lunch menu offers great value and delicious combinations. The dinner menu has a wide variety of options to choose from. The sushi is always fresh and although the selection is limited, it is still good."

"On Wednesday 12/06 I went to Banzai Sushi, I have never received such bad service in my life… Every time I remember my experience, I get angry, the waitress is rude and has a horrible attitude! It's a shame because the food there is wonderful, but the service is so SO BAD that I lost my appetite. When I got there, there was some water spilled on the table, she took my stepfather's DIRTY NAPKIN to clean it and just left it there. When I asked for things she responded with an ignorant, rude tone. My partner doesn't eat any type of animal protein other than shrimp. So we asked if we could replace the salmon with shrimp in a poke, she checked in the kitchen and said everything was fine. When she came back, I placed my order and she was doing something at the other table, but said to continue because she was listening….my partner also talking about swapping salmon for shrimp at the end and the waitress replies “so it's not like that at all what you want, is something different” and simply left leaving us talking to the wall. When our order arrived, my order came out wrong. I called her and she simply replied “BUT ALSO, WITH HER MAKING ALL THIS MESS WITH SALMON AND SHRIMP…”, sorry, but for me that was the end of the bite. It's okay to get the order wrong, I know it happens, but blaming the customer? Every time she passed by our table I saw her making faces and looking at the kitchen. I thought it was a huge lack of respect, we are paying customers. On top of that, it also includes a 15% tip. Normally, if I receive good service, I will give 20%, after all, I work in customer service and value professionals in my field. And if the service was just bad, I wouldn't bother coming here to report it... But it was horrible"

"The staff was incredibly friendly and had a great sense of humor. Since it was our first visit, they recommended several dishes, and we ended up enjoying every single one of them. We ordered a variety of tapas, including Mango Lemonade, Passion Fruit Lemonade, Happy Ending Roll (a salmon tempura roll topped with seared tuna, garlic ponzu, and eel sauce), Salmon Teriyaki, Yakitori Chicken with onion, Meatball Miso Cod, and more Yakitori Chicken with onion, Kabocha squash, and beef tongue. This place is fantastic and is by far our favorite Japanese restaurant. The Yakitori was amazing, which is quite rare to find around here. We all tried cow tongue for the first time, and surprisingly, it became our favorite dish! It was so flavorful and delicious—just melted in our mouths. I can't wait to come back and try even more dishes! Follow me on Instagram: @ammysalamii."

"Watch out!! This place made me VIOLENTLY ill and was in the hospital for 2 days due to food poisoning. When I called the restaurant to get a refund they proceeded to deny any of the food possibly making me sick and they refused to give a refund tome without a hospital report…are you kidding me?! Save yourself the time and the pain and do NOT order from here."

"This is my favorite place to eat! It just keeps getting better with every order. The staff and owner are incredibly friendly. I love customizing my orders to suit my taste, and they always accommodate me without any problems. The sushi is consistently excellent, carefully prepared, and the rolls are large and delicious! Everyone is treated like a VIP, which is how it should be!"

"My boss was so nice to take my coworkers and I to this beautiful, unique, Up Scale restaurant in downtown Chicago . We went here last Friday night right after work and it was amazing. We work at Allstate Joshua Mercer agency and my boss treated us to dinner. Some of our Foods were , roast beef , steaks , lobster fried rice, oysters, and some delicious appetizer side dishes. However, I ate the lobster and shrimp rolls and the shrimp fried rice. I like how the shrimp fried rice was loaded with shrimp and fresh vegetables in the rice. and was very good. The Shrimp and lobster rolls had a mild but sweet dipping sauce that was a 10 and was so good , even good in my shrimp fried rice. I loved the intimate decor and the lights in this place. This place had amazing food,, service, views and scenery. The atmosphere was entertaining and creative. This was my first time inside of this restaurant, but I highly recommend this place . Rather you're local or visiting Chicago, this is definitely a go to place . I recommend you Bring about $400 to $500 for a date for two, but For a night out with a small group of friends bring atleast $900 to $2000 .Kid-friendliness: They had some kid friendly food like California rolls. ."

"On the plus side, the food was really good and there were ample choices. On the downside, the decor could use a facelift. The ambience is kind of like an upscale Denny's. For the quality of food and price point of the menu I was expecting more attention to ambience, but alas it was pretty pedestrian."

"We went here on a recommendation from some friends. I believe we would’ve have had a better experience had our server been friendlier. Asking me “what’s up” when I say I have a question about the menu seems so unprofessional. The food was okay... we ordered the wanton cookie for dessert w/ espresso. The espresso came to us too early and was cold by the time we got our dessert. Having a server that understands timing and just simply understands being personable goes a long way. Not sure if I’d come back again but it’s a for me"

"So I went down to California to visit a bestie of mine. The last time we got together we were sad that we couldnt grab sushi. So I had made that suggestion to her and she was on board! Originally this wasnt going to be our first choice.. but our first choice was closing by the time she got off work and boy she was borderline hangry. Lol So she recommended this place to me and I'm glad we made the choice! The restaurant was quite big despite how small it looked like on the outside. Its NOT all you can eat but the quality is amazing. The ambiance of the restaurant makes it feel like a good place for a date. The food itself was fantastic! We ordered some salmon nigiri, an appetizer (I forgot which) and a roll each. The nigiri was fresh and the portion for the fish was generous! Despite ordering just a couple of items it filled us up nicely, while leaving room for us to get some boba around the area! Luckily, we came at the perfect time because shortly after we ordered there was several groups of people that came in afterwards! Be one of the great minds that think alike and come here!"

"Very good food will draw us back. Beautiful special sushi roll, elegant on the plate. You can tell that they are understaffed, as the hostess was our server as well. However, she was very responsive, except one time when she failed to look up from her computer as I was trying to signal her. The room is drafty, a tad unpleasant in cold weather. Also, in terms of setting, there were no tablecloths. The place seemed somehow unfinished. Tables in the back were pushed together, with a corrugated box sitting there, waiting to be put away. What appeared to be servers ' or kitchen workers ' coats were draped over the chairs. The slapdash housekeeping gave the place a not-ready-for-prime-time feel. But the sushi and the hot appetizers were excellent."
