"We visited this restaurant for the first time two years ago and were extremely impressed by the delicious taste and high quality of the food. We enjoyed all of the dishes we ordered. We returned later for the all-you-can-eat option, but were disappointed to find that the quality had significantly decreased since our first visit. We decided to give it another chance recently, but unfortunately it seems that the restaurant's quality is still declining. The shrimp tempura was limp and not crispy, covered in bread crumbs which is not the proper way to cook it."

"Thank goodness the food was decent because the service and ambience leave much to be desired. We made the mistake of thinking this would be a nice date night restaurant but the music (although good) was way too loud, leaving everyone around us chatting even louder. We were seated by the host and after 20 mins of waiting around, a busser came by with water, after which we couldn 't find any waiters to flag down (just a couple of bussers wandering around looking for empty plates). We almost left altogether. After another 10 mins, our host swung by to take our order. There 's a chance they were short staffed due to it being Labor Day weekend but considering Rok is in a prime location and Hermosa Fiesta was going on, this was surprising to us. The seats were so uncomfortably sunken in and in desperate need of re padding and reupholstery. We were relieved when the food finally showed up. We enjoyed our appetizer (monkey balls) and the 4 rolls we got. The food seemed fresh and the combination of ingredients went well together. We then quickly asked for our check out of fear that we 'd have to sit around waiting for it as we saw with another party. Interestingly enough, there wasn 't a single female on staff. The place itself felt like it was trying to be too many things at once a club (due to the blaring music), a fancy ish restaurant (due to the interior design), and a sports bar (due to what was on TV and the general casual atmosphere). If it weren 't for the decent food, I really felt like I could see this restaurant ending up on Kitchen Nightmares one day. I truly hope they step up their service soon!"

"I came here with my cousin for dinner. We arrived at around The staff was super friendly and seated us fairly quickly. The restaurant was pretty warm inside. Once sat our server was very friendly to start and we almost immediately started ordering. We ordered about different dishes to share and some sushi. I had high expectations however most of the food was good but nothing that blew me away. A few items were really good like the Pork Belly(Crunchy Pork), Garlic Soy Edamame and the Cream Pan Dessert. As the night went on the staff became almost non-existent until it was time to close. This seemed like a better place for families so I wouldn't come here with the expectation of the likes of Masa or Omakase."

"The food was excellent. It was my first time visiting this restaurant, and I noticed there isn't a main dining area; instead, it's a cozy spot at the front. The women at the bar were very friendly and answered all my questions. Everyone in our group expressed interest in returning. There are plenty of parking spaces available. "Burgers were good. Service not so much. The place was practically empty and we had to wait for everything. Ordered drinks, shakes, and ice water for everyone. Had to wait and ask times for the water. Soda finally came after asking times and after most of the meal was finished. Diet Coke tired out to be flatter than flat, like syrup water. "Our server was pushy but then she forgot about us. She came to our table 30 seconds after we sat down when he told her that he needed an extra min, she huffed said oh i'll get your order when I come back with her wine. She came back with the wine and asked, well have you made a decision? He told her some beer a tall. She came back with a short and mentioned that the tall glasses were all dirty and you will get this and a partial. She had started to walk away when we waved her back and told her that we wanted to order an app. when she came back with the app, we told her that we wanted to order. I ordered the pad thai and she asked how spicy do you want it I said, I want nothing with spicy, I get sick. She said yeah, yeah I get it. My Husband asked if the duck curry had a lot of tomatoes in it, she said no, not a lot. That dish doesn't have any in it. We then waited 30 minutes for our food; I would understand if the restaurant was busy.... but it was not. I also had a clear shot of the bar and I noticed her behind the bar messing with liquor bottles. When we actually received our food it was warm to the touch (on the top) but when you stirred the dish it was hot underneath (probably sitting under a heat lamp). Remember when I mentioned that I couldn't have spice... well there was something spicy in the dish and I couldn't eat it. She never came back to ask, how is the food or can I get you a replacement on those drinks. She was HORRIBLE!! She dropped off the bill, when my husband was still eating and said no rush. She then came back 5 minutes later and said Can I get anything off the table LIKE THE BILL! and when I told her no, we are not DONE, she walked away in a puff again. I waved the host over to speak with a manager, she refused to get one and all she wanted to do is comp our meal. Not sure we will be back."

"We were a little disappointed with the experience.this was ann anniversary date night Our focus was the crab offered at the buffet. The crab was cold and very waterlogged. Not our favorite prep method.The other offerings at the buffet were ok. Fairly good assortment with plenty of choices. Service was good. Attentive but not intrusive. "Who are you, and what have you done to the old Wasabi Bistro?!? Seriously though, what happened? New ownership? New Chief? Trying to cut costs? What happened!?! This used to be the place to go but recently the food has been such low quality. I immediately noticed the difference when the food came out. It looked different. The steak, the rice, the sauce, everything looked different from what it used to be. The taste was not great at all. Was incredibly disappointed in the food and it definitely was not worth the price. "Tiny little hole in the wall sushi place with a very generous lunch special offer on bento boxes. I chose the salmon teriyaki version though you can have your choice of tempura or katsu with a variety of proteins. There's not a whole lot of room, so get cozy. First off, a steaming hot miso soup was served to start off the meal. The bento box soon arrived and I was pleased with how much was included from four pieces of a simple California roll, 3 pieces of shumai dumplings, a small salad with a lovely peanutty gingery dressing, sliced carrots and steamed broccoli, freshly made jasmine rice and a thin but tasty slab of salmon teriyak on top of sauteed onions and green peppers. For less than $12, people! Take note for those who want to stuff their faces. Everything was delicious. The only thing I missed was a hot cup of tea served upon arrival, something I thought was ubiquitous at Asian restaurants but now seems to be only served upon request and for an additional fee."

"Delightful sushi and ramen! Chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday with my family. Enjoyed a large table that fit us all. We ordered two miso ramens as well as a Rainbow roll and Alaskan Roll. The Alaskan was my favorite with the little lemon slices on top love the citrus bursts. The staff was accommodating and allowed us to order avocado rolls fort children. Service was quick and checked on us for more napkins and refills. "So here's the scoop.. I went out for dinner at Original Joe's Thursday night. I have to say, after having been in the bar/restaurant service industry myself for 9 years in the past, it was one of the best server experiences I've had in AGES!!! From beginning to end, every single person was welcoming, happy, and calmly accommodating, even though the place was completely packed (we even had to park over by Shopper's !! Our waitress (Nikki, a little cute thing with fun eye makeup was super friendly, and took the proper time to explain everything, go through specials, and didn't rush any of our orders or replies even though she was clearly busy. Most places I know of (not in town would have been frantic, edgy, running into each other, treating you like you're a bother, rolling their eyes at coworkers, but the staff at this place all seemed to run like a well oiled machine and really worked great together! Even the bartender took some extra time with a man ordering food to explain each and every single side dish option in detail to help the man decide what to get with his steak, just to help him feel a little more comfortable because he obviously wasn't a regular and was sitting alone. The food was hot, fast and complete, with tables of happy customers turned over ridiculously fast, and I just wanted to give a great big shout out to a great job well done to all of the staff that was there!! Even on our way out, every single staff member we passed took a moment to pause, smile and thank us for coming! I often become very disappointed when I receive crappy service because I would love nothing more than to be able to leave a great big tip every time. "On the downside, I wasn't impressed with the hibachi. At $60 per person, it felt overpriced and disappointing.
