"Recently stayed at Embassy Suites, placed order at 11:46pm, was told 45-55 minutes for delivery. It took two people to take my order, which I had to repeat several times. Asked if they wanted me to pay over phone, said pay when delivered. Order totaled $52.95, had $55 cash so said okay. Waited over an hour, no food. My travel companions were going out, saw a delivery person, asked what room, it was our food. The delivery person was standing in the lobby talking with people when they saw him. They brought him to the room, I gave him the cash. Pizza was cold, and a few minutes later there was a knock on the door, answered it, and there was the guy, and he had the audacity to ask , “no tip”, I told him “on the phone I was told cash preferred, I had $55 cash and gave it all to him”. Very rude to come back, knock on door for tip! We live in a near cashless society, I gave him all the cash I had available, which covered the cost and left only $2 for tip. While I know this is not a great tip, I paid them in the manner they asked."
