"I really wanted to like this place but after visiting today is a hard pass. The service was horrible, our server was missing for most of the time we were there and we had to wave our hand or ask someone else to call him, the kitchen is an absolute disaster food didn't come out all together for the whole table, food was cold, the time it took for each course to come out was ridiculous, and even the dessert took like 25 minutes after we finished our meal to be brought to the table. Only good things about this place are the drinks and the ambience. It was also my birthday I was celebrating and the server didn't even bother to put a candle on the dessert and sing or anything which my friends were waiting for but since the dessert took so long to come out and the server was nowhere to be found most of the time we left as soon as the dessert was served. Don't recommend at all."

"Service was terrible- waited two hours for food. If they couldn’t accommodate our reservation they should not have taken it. Drinks and food were also sub par. Pineapple margarita tasted nothing like a margarita. One burger was undercooked and so we asked for it to be cooked longer. A bite was already taken out and they just put it back on the grill and burned one side. Completely unsanitary and then also inedible. The staff seemed disorganized and overwhelmed. We’re not helpful or sympathetic to this situation. Neither was the manager(owner? when asked about the wait time. Also, no one was pre-bussing the table so there was empty drinks all over so no room when food came out. Also, no toilet paper in the bathrooms. This seems simple but I was waiting in line for the restroom and one of the workers came out of it and when I walked in there was none. Normal practice would have been like “hey sorry we are out of toilet paper in this stall, I’m going to go get some be back asap” I never leave bad reviews but I was truly baffled by the experience. Advice would be not come here with a large party on a busy/baseball night."

"Paid $12.43 for 2 piece all white, coleslaw, potato &gravy and coleslaw. recd old chicken, dry and no skin on breast. Requested 2 fresh pieces of chicken. Was told none ready I would need to wait 26 min. Waited the time and recd a new box with a back and drum stick and no coleslaw. "I really like Burg Barrel and have been there quite a few times. My wife and I went there for a date night and it was a little busy, not a problem. We were seated and received drinks within about 5 min of being there. We put in our appetizer and entrée order. The appetizer came out in about 10 min. Our entrees, we waited an hour and still hadn’t received them. Not really sure what happened to our orders. Our waitress was able to comp our appetizer and drink. I was hoping that a manager came out to our table to give us some insight on what happened. Nope, no manager. They just sent a couple free entree cards out to us. Better than nothing I guess. I’ll still support this establishment, it was just disappointing because it was my wife’s first time eating there and I really bragged on how good it was."

"I've been here several times. The other day I walked in and didn't realize they weren't officially open for the day yet, and the manager was nice about it (sorry). It's a gourmet food store with prices to match, but the food is good. The customer service is not straightforward-friendly that you'd find in other places. I don't know if they're unhappy or stressed because of how they're being managed, or if the customers are high-maintenance enough to negatively affect their demeanor. One exception is a cashier who's been friendly for years, who seems to be enjoying her job. Other than that, I go there for the food, not the overall experience as at other places."

"The hostess was very personal and friendly, I didn't catch her name, but mentioned that she had worked in the other place in Saint Pete. After we sat, there was confusion on who our server was, but they finally sorted it out. Sushi roles were good, but not expectations about previous visits. Not that we were in a hurry, but it seemed to take too much time to get articles on the table after ordering, maybe get 10 minutes for a wine order on the table. The server also had a difficult time to track the small trays for our soy sauce, but finally came with a few different trays. Anyway, overall it was a good experience and maybe it's just that it's a slow season and nothing works as smooth as it usually does."

"The trip to this restaurant was not worth it. I attended a birthday celebration and ordered the steak, which came with french fries and a limp salad. Unfortunately, the steak was severely overcooked, as I had requested it medium rare but it arrived well done. They made a mistake with my order and quickly brought me the correct meal, but the rushed service was noticeable. The overall service was average. We requested a dessert menu, but our server seemed to forget as she never returned to the table except to collect payment. This restaurant is not kid-friendly, as it is not geared towards children. Overall, the food was rated a 1, service a 2, and the atmosphere a 4. Prices per person range from $30 to $50 for dinner."

"In July 2022 we went through the drive through and ordered Extra Crispy Chicken. They said it would be about 10 minutes so we paid and parked. About 15 minutes later, the manager, CORY, came out to the car and apologized for the wait, but it would beanother 20 minutes wait for the Extra Crispy Chicken. He substituted for Regular Chicken and told us he would make it up to usnext time we were there. In August about 45 days later, we were back in Glen Carbon and went in. Cory duplicated our originalorder and added a couple of extra pieces of chicken. The order was almost $30 and he was true to his word and there was nocharge. I was surprised at his keeping his word. We went home very impressed with Cory and ate our dinner which was great. Wewill keep going there."

"First time getting the “bowl” in the picture it looks great but what you get is about 1/2 the size, what I got tasted good and thankfully I wasn’t that hungry. My mom asked for some BBQ sauce and the manager gave it to her only after telling her it only comes with the tenders. "Whenever I’m in Blaine, I’d always see Big Al’s Diner and wondered if it is any good. After picking up my new Dragon APSx goggles from Blaine, I finally decided to come by for a late breakfast.
