"Service was terrible- waited two hours for food. If they couldn’t accommodate our reservation they should not have taken it. Drinks and food were also sub par. Pineapple margarita tasted nothing like a margarita. One burger was undercooked and so we asked for it to be cooked longer. A bite was already taken out and they just put it back on the grill and burned one side. Completely unsanitary and then also inedible. The staff seemed disorganized and overwhelmed. We’re not helpful or sympathetic to this situation. Neither was the manager(owner? when asked about the wait time. Also, no one was pre-bussing the table so there was empty drinks all over so no room when food came out. Also, no toilet paper in the bathrooms. This seems simple but I was waiting in line for the restroom and one of the workers came out of it and when I walked in there was none. Normal practice would have been like “hey sorry we are out of toilet paper in this stall, I’m going to go get some be back asap” I never leave bad reviews but I was truly baffled by the experience. Advice would be not come here with a large party on a busy/baseball night."

Quality of meat was not worth the price they charge. Ribs had a lot of cartilage on them. Hardly any meat. It was mostly bone and cartilage.

We had a reservation. We waited over an hour for our food. When we got it my son’s burger was raw. The rest of the food we ordered was not good either. Not worth the wait or price.

Sat down at 4:50 to eat before the 6:05 game. Didn't even place food order till almost 5:25. Got food around 5:50 and by the time done eating game already in 2nd inning. Too long, no one checked on us and added a credit card surcharge to bill before even asking cash or charge (we paid cash)

This was my first visit to this location since moving, and I was pleased to find that the food remains excellent. We tried the brisket and smoked turkey entrees, both of which were delicious. The service was also very good, and our meals arrived promptly since we chose not to order appetizers. While the prices have gone up, I still thoroughly enjoyed my dinner overall. View menu

We made a 530 reservation for 4ppl. Was seated on time. Waiting 15 minutes for a server to ask us for drinks. Placed our order and waited almost an hour for our food. Wait staff was definitely overwhelmed. Prices are a bit high but the food was good. From being seating to paying the bill was almost 3 hours. Would suggest going during earlier hours for quicker meal.and better experience.

We arrived a bit early for our reservation and were seated right away. However, we waited about 15 minutes for a server to take our order, and then it took nearly 50 minutes for our food to arrive. My burger was mediocre at best. My wife ordered a grilled cheese and avocado sandwich, but it only had one slice of cheese and barely any avocado—more like two slices of bread than a proper sandwich. Overall, it was quite disappointing.

The food was fantastic! Three of us ordered the brisket, and we all loved it, along with the coleslaw and creamed corn. I personally had a wonderful grilled Brie and apple on fresh bread. However, our server was mostly missing during the meal. She only checked on us once, and we had to call over another server when we ran out of napkins. It’s a bit surprising not to have any napkins at a BBQ restaurant. Nonetheless, I highly recommend the food, and we still had a great dining experience! View menu

Food was not fresh or tasty brisket was old and reheated for a platter 4 small pieces of meat that was half fat for $28 I left hungry ! Server asked if I wanted the check or anything else before clearing dinner plates at that point I said just bring the check! I heard her do the same thing to someone next to us who was actually still eating! Guess she wanted to go home early ! Poor training these people !They should be trying to make the bill high as possible dummies don’t understand that there tip will be higher as bill increases . before I left they messed up and tried to bring my dinner order out again!!!! Great bar too bad food is horrible

We made our reservations at 430 to be able to see the game at 6:05pm. It took over an hour and a half to get our food. The waitress was friendly and apologetic but not once did the manager or anyone else come to our table to apologize for the delay. Our table asked for an accommodation due to the lack of service and only after the waitress went to the manager , who later we found out was the actual owner, offered 10% off the bill. Was absolutely not worth it. The food was somewhat decent but nothing at all to rave about. This was our second but now.last time we will ever visit the Double S Smokehouse. We had a few friends ask how it was because they go to the Minors games often and we strong...

"Hands down the best food I've had in Augusta. In Augusta for work, and have been trying out various restaurants with the work crew. This place I is the first that had me saying I'm coming back. EVERYTHING was good! Seating is limited and there was a short (10min) then from there it's either buffet style or takeout option. We dined in, which gave me a chance to sample EVERYTHING. I started with the salmon in lemon sauce. Not overcooked and just delicious. This was my favorite. Seconds were had. Next up was the fried pork loin. Probably my least favorite protein but still good. I'm not much of a pork person and still enjoyed. Then the barbeque chicken. This..was..good. seasoned to the bone. For sides, there was some corn and lima beans and plain rice. After this, we had the beef gumbo. The gumbo truth be told was more a soup. For me gumbo needs to be a little thicker...heartier. Whatever you want to call it delicious. The beef was seasoned well, tender and the broth flavoured with okras. There was also a salad bar, and I just had a fresh salad. Typical salad toppings with some.black olives and jalapenos to spice it up a little. Not sure about the dressing, I did without. Then everything was topped off with the peach cobbler. I enjoyed this as well, probably because it was not overly sweet. But I know people are passionate about their cobbler, so opinions will very. All in all, I'm definitely going back and look forward to different daily dishes. We were told when leaving tomorrow (Friday) is fried chicken day."
