"my boyfriend and i live in the area and hamilton inn has been a long time favorite of ours. we've tried basically everything on their menu besides the salads and can say with CONFIDENCE that you will not have a bad meal here, ever. sometimes restaurants will have hits and misses on their menu here at hamilton inn, there are only hits. hamilton inn's menu changes up slightly seasonally, but one thing that has stayed the same (and is my FAVORITE THING) is their $1 happy hour oysters on wednesdays. i'm not a fan of briny oysters (prefer sweeter oysters) and their blue point oysters have a special place in my heart. their happy hour doesn't only last an hour either, it's goes on for pretty much all of wednesday night. such a win!what we've ordered in the past (pictures are only from our most recent visit): spicy tuna tartare jumbo lump crab cake french onion soup dumplings these come in an escargot like dish. SO good truffled egg pizza one of the first appetizers i've ever tried from hamilton inn, got me hooked lamb burger french dip fan favorite, my god, if you're trying to impress your date, i'd recommend this one 10th street cheesesteak they don't skimp on the meat montauk lobster roll not my favorite thing i've had here, but the amount of lobster and other toppings they include is crazy good mexican torta my bf got this one a while back, nothing but good things about it the inn burger classic steak frites everytime we come here, my bf is between this dish and something new. we usually like to try the new stuff but it's stayed a favorite east LA fish tacos there are better fish tacos out there, but these are very very decent. love the spicy aioli they use as well french onion mac cheese we saw this on hamilton inn's instagram and immediately went to try it. my god. so cheesy. so good. 10/10"

"The restaurant is very pretty. There are two rooms. One with the beautiful bar and one which is quieter but where the kitchen is. We went for lunch and the prices were high. I wish they had a lunch menu. What we had was delicious though and we will keep this as a place to return to."

"We made a reservation here for two for a celebration dinner tonite. The website asked if there was a special occasion and I replied birthday. My 70th milestone birthday. My husband who is Abruzzese by birth and has many family members living in Abruzzo Italy chose the Carbonara dish and I chose the Ravioli of the Night dish. Both dishes were SWIMMING IN SAUCE which is NOT typical of Abruzzese dishes. Because of all the sauce, the flavor was lost in too much soupy sauce. The olive Primo was ridiculous, laden with way too many of the same type of green olive and some old arugula leaves. The restaurant should have offered a variety of olives with fresh arugula. We ordered the cannoli dessert and the panna cotta dessert which were okay. We also ordered two Limoncello liqueurs which were served in large glasses warm instead of chilled in small cordial glass. Limoncello is typically served cold. The restaurant was not at the level it should have been to be qualified as a true Italian restaurant and it seemed an insult to the Abruzzese to serve food and drink that was far less in quality as that offered in the Abruzzo region of Italy. This restaurant should know better. American diners may not know any better and may think this restaurant rocks but we are not in agreement. If management were paying attention to this review, they 'd change their offerings to improve the dining experience for their clientele. And, my birthday never got even just a lit candle in the dessert. What 's the point of asking if there is a special occasion???"

"My latest visit was terrible, especially compared to my previous experiences when it was a fantastic restaurant deserving of 4 stars. Here's what went wrong: the pizza slices were poorly made, they forgot to add fresh mozzarella, and I was charged for it. I also ordered a smashed burger, which I ended up having to return. The potatoes were undercooked, and the beef wasn’t Angus as advertised. I'm not sure what went wrong at this place."

"The business practice here is really SHADY. The food was fine, the service was fine, but it's a price... dishonest, at best. You can note that the first invoice you receive has a much lower dollar amount than the subsequent bill (to sign and add the bliss). So, as an example, the first bill can say $95, but the next will say $100 after you give them your card without reason or explanation for the increase. If you follow your waiter to ask them to claim this is for credit card processing fees , but nowhere in the menu or initial entrance they give a difference for cash/credit price. The gas stations do this all the time, but they told you something. Since it is a business in NYC that has more laws than people, I would assume that this could be a practice that they want to stop ASAP. It is also shady that they also increase the "Recommend Gratuity" on the bottom of the receipt after they tacitly increase the invoice amount. Apparently they are happy to ask for more happiness on a part of the bill that doesn't even theirs? All you need to do is on the menu that there is a lower cash price, and there is a higher card price. Most reasonable people know why this offer exists, credit card companies do not give you all these benefits for free. But you don't hide it until someone has committed to an order and spends a meal. It's ashamed."

"I don’t really have anything bad to say about Avanti Caffe. It’s an all around great place to dine. We were looking for a quick bite to eat while we waited for our event to start. Nice cozy place with great service. Everyone in our party sat around and talked and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food and walked out quite fool. I had the meatball sub and it was fantastic. I couldn’t even finish the entire sandwich. The prices are really affordable especially given the location. A friend of mine ordered the chocolate mousse and she shared a bite with me. Wow it was good."

"I used to love Pats but the last 3 times have been a big disappointment. Pizza and Stromboli were basically tasteless and dough not cooked. They did away with the breaded chicken wings which my family absolutely loved. The staff messes up your orders ornever even puts your order in to be processed. When you buy chips or cheese curls they should actually look at the prices on thebag I bought 2 bags of cheese curls 2.29 a bag and was charged 5.98. The employees also should not be able to be on their phoneswhile working. Like I said I used to love Pats pizza and Stromboli just missing the flavors should go back to the recipes thatGeorge had in place for years."

"The food is decent, but I've consistently had issues with my orders. I've asked for two sides of ranch, paid for three, and only received one. I requested no toast but ended up with it anyway. Additionally, I was instructed to pull forward for one chicken basket and ended up waiting for at least 20 minutes. Overall, my experience with takeout during lunch could use some improvement."

"This is perhaps the best kept secret of the Seaport District. Working man's fare at a working man's price. Don't look here for fancy stuff, just look here for good, blue collar chow. The sandwiches are excellent, the food is fresh and the portions are generous enough to keep you going through the rest of your day. Cash only, but has an ATM on site. I am a fan of the chicken parm, the cheeseburger plate and their tuna subs. Also so far as I know, it's the only place around that sells cigarettes."

"I haven't been in this Dairy Queen in years. I remember eating in this one back when you had to walk up to the window. But I'm glad you can eat inside of it. It's always good to eat in a Dairy Queen because it probably might bring back Nostalgia for people. I know they're all over the country but it's just got that small-town appeal to it."

"Well...we liked the food but.... We came in with a coupon that was placed in a coupon book by the owner. We had our own, but a lady gave us one as she was walking in to be seated. We thought that was a nice gesture, but since we had our own we offered the 2nd one to a table of two women next to us. Just then, the owner came out of the office, and started yelling at us that we were taking money out of his pocket. We were shocked. All we did was hand someone else a coupon, that HE PLACED IN A COUPON BOOK. We have been loyal customers for 25 years, but we will never go back now."

"Returned to Hal Mal's after years away and it has maintained its loose, friendly atmosphere. The live music was the best thing happening there on the night we went and the Dixieland Band was quite good, it stayed away from Stephen Foster and played more modern selections. The food was good as usual, fresh and tasty gumbo, po boys were pretty average, they're coasting on reputation there. The drink selections were fine, it was a relaxed and fairly inexpensive night out. A lot of value here and a safe bet for sure. We'll be back next time we're in town."
