"I can't recommend this restaurant in Mount Pleasant, TX highly enough. It’s by far my favorite dining spot, even though I travel all over DFW, Texarkana, and Tyler. The owners are incredibly kind and accommodating, always ready to answer any questions. Their cheesecake surpasses that of the Cheesecake Factory, and they provide fantastic gluten-free and keto options. The keto cheesecake has a slightly different texture, but the flavor is absolutely amazing—it's the best keto dessert I've ever had. I also enjoy their keto nuts, meat dishes, and steaks. My partner loves their potatoes, no matter how they’re prepared, and their delicious green beans. And I must mention their bacon cheddar bites appetizer; they’re far superior to any we’ve had at steakhouses or other restaurants. Their salads are top-notch as well. Honestly, I haven't found anything I dislike about this place. It’s a must-visit for anyone in the area!"

"New to Central Texas coming from up North, my husband and I decided to check this place out based on the reviews and because it?s on the lake. We?ll, I was not disappointed at all. It was a little chilly this particular day so we chose to sit inside. My waitress was Clarissa and she was awesome! Her suggestion was the shrimp and grits, and it was very good. It was so good, I forgot to take a picture! We also ordered the queso and my husband said ? that?s all he?s ordering next time with some drinks. Everyone was ver friendly and I can?t wait to go back on a day when it?s really nice to sit outside."

"First time trying it, training wheels spice level was just right, and chicken is moist and very good. Cole slaw is bland like too many restaurants, but the gravy got the thumbs up from grandpa who makes his own, so that is amazing! Will buy again"

"We checked on our order twice during that wait. My boyfriend went in after 15 minutes to ask about it, but she didn’t do anything. Then I went in another 10 minutes later and also asked her to check. She said our food was on its way, but she hadn’t even looked at the ticket, so how could she know? Plus, she hadn’t taken my order; someone else did, so I was confused about how she could keep track. I gave her my name, but she still didn’t follow up. After another 10 minutes with no food while everyone who came after us was being served, we felt a bit like we were bothering her by asking. Finally, when her manager arrived, we asked again, and she actually checked the tickets. Although they didn’t inform us what had happened, the manager (bless her heart) got the other staff to make our order. We went home hoping to enjoy our meal, but the chicken was soggy, and the batter was still wet and coming off. It was such a letdown! I plan to go back, though; I just wanted to share my experience."

"The food did not meet the usual standards. The fries were pale and undercooked. The buffalo mac and cheese was served in a smaller container and was only half full, offering very little mac and cheese. Similarly, the tomato soup was not filled to the top. Consistency is crucial in the restaurant business, and this experience fell short compared to previous orders. The quality and quantity of the food were not up to par with what we've come to expect."

"This was my second time dining at Hotboys, and I decided to order the Sando Combo with mild plus chicken, along with fries. I also got a 5 Pack of mild tenders, coleslaw, Mac n' Cheese, and an extra side of fries. The fries were delicious, though I think they could use a bit more seasoning. It was my first time trying the coleslaw, and it wasn’t my favorite, but that’s alright. I had ordered the Mac n' Cheese before, and it was perfect. Everything else was fantastic—we devoured it all! Thank you!"
