"We were dining at db Bistro prior to heading to the theater, celebrating my daughter's 30th and my sister's 65th. I cannot say enough about what a lovely experience we had. The staff was so attentive, 2 of us had special dietary needs and the staff went out of their way to be helpful, they really went above and beyond. The food was delicious too. My only comment would be to have more than one entree choice that is vegetarian."

"Spectacular! After four courses and a long leisurely dinner a birthday celebration, I can happily and assuredly say Jubilee is exceptionally good. We are big fans of French food and this is truly some of the most delicious food we've had in quite a while. Service was warm, but never intrusive and always professional. In addition, every course was better than the last! (Far too many restaurants can handle appetizers, but fall apart when it comes to entrees NOT Jubilee! Btw, no matter what entree you have, please ask for the haricot verts on the side! Wow!! I love a string bean, but these are crazy good! (I'm sure it's massive amounts of butter, but sooooooo worth it!!! We had beet salad escargot to start, salmon tartare comte cheese ravioli for our second course and Dover Sole Filet Mignon for our mains. Exceptionally well prepared, each dish. After all that we were surprised by a comped dessert a sort of chocolate mousse log with a birthday candle. So thoughtful! All this to say, we will be back and soon! We will definitely not wait till the next birthday celebration for our return visit! Could not recommend Jubilee more highly!"

"We had a fantastic birthday dinner at Frenchy and already cannot wait to go back! We had dined at Tundra previously and enjoyed that experience too but Frenchy really impressed us from both a food and service point of view! We had the baked Brie, brioche and beef tartar and the beef tartar was everyone’s favourite, even among my teenage girls. The mains we ordered were fabulous, incredible recommendations which were perfectly executed: branzino, bouillabaisse and the roast chicken — I can’t even pick a favorite bc they were all amazing! The chef and service team are top notch, I highly recommend checking this place out for classic French favourites executed without any flaws!"

"I am writing this review and still in shock and unable to process what happen on last Friday night at our party. Everything was great, food, service, etc. All my friends had a great time until, I assume, it was the restaurant 's manager, came to one of our guests Mark and very rudely demanded that he paid $80 cover charge for drinking alcohol from the water bottle he brought with him. Mark NEVER drinks hard liquor only wine which is what he ordered that night as always. His wife wasn 't feeling well didn 't drink at all! The manager came to them directly, threw an empty water bottle on the table calming he has a video of Mark throwing this bottle in the trash outside of the restaurant!!! This video he showed us had NO image of Mark carrying a bottle in his hands! In any case, the manager 's rudeness, unprofessionalism in the way he handled the situation was outrages. He was yelling and screaming at us, telling us he will call the police. Even if he had a reason which he DID NOT! this situation could have been handled discretely. Instead, he escalated the situation to the point that Mark, his wife and most of our guests were in the verge of tears! All of my friends at the party came to America about 35 years ago, all have successful careers. We all speak Russian, but all immigrated from Ukraine. I don 't know if this person had something against us, but it sure felt like he made personal. We never felt so humiliated and discriminated like we did last night! I was the responsible for any additional charges/issues for the party and they confirmed that with me before the party started. We had multiple birthday parties at Bobby 's before and I was astonished how we were treated for just a pitiful amount of money $80 when we spent way over $1000 that night! Instead of having a great memory of this special evening of my husband 65th birthday all we will remember is the way we were treated and humiliated at the end. It 's a shame! We always enjoy Bobby 's, but after this incident none of us and anyone we know will dine in Bobby 's Deerfield again."

"Hendricks Tavern is a hidden gem located in the heart of Roslyn. The service, from the valet attendants to the wait staff, was excellent and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The ambiance is warm, laid back, and relaxing. My wife had been wanting to try Hendricks Tavern for a while, so we decided to celebrate her birthday there. We made a reservation for outdoor seating and were accommodated without any issues. The food was superb! We enjoyed zucchini and eggplant chips, fried calamari, and a pizza as appetizers, all of which were delicious. For our main courses, we had Tavern BBQ Ribs and a 30oz Tomahawk Rib Eye steak, which we shared. The sides of creamed spinach, sautéed mushrooms, and hash browns were tasty, although the hash browns were a bit crunchy. Our desserts, carrot cake and homemade apple crisp, were also fantastic. The wait staff even sang happy birthday to my wife when they brought out her dessert, which was a nice touch. Overall, we had a great dining experience with delicious food, excellent service, and a relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend giving this place a try. Thank you to everyone at Hendricks Tavern for making my wife's birthday dinner special and memorable."

"As it was a cold night we ate inside at a table near the front of the restaurant. Since there was no front door and the restaurant was open to the street it was cold. They had heaters above us...but they did not keep us warm enough to remove our jackets. It 's not relaxing eating dinner in a winter coat. They need to make it a "real restaurant with a front door NOT a breezeway between 2 buildings. But worse than that our table was by the 2 doors on the side of the 2 buildings and those doors kept opening closing at least 100 times while we were eating as the food came out of 1 door (the kitchen) and the waitresses kept going into the 2nd door (a market) to deliver food or supplies. These opening closing of doors every 30 50 seconds was VERY disturbing and made any enjoyment of dinner IMPOSSIBLE! This is NOT a romantic relaxing experience for dinner we 'll never return even for a FREE dinner. The food was greasy and nothing special for the high prices. They need a chef that knows how to design cook appetizing meals. We 'll never return because of the noise of the doors opening closing every 30 seconds and the high price for greasy, fried food."

The only thing I did not love was the lobster ravioli, I just wish the dish had a bit more flavor. Overall great experience, highly recommend when in the Boston area."

Now, you ask why the 3 stars? this establishment deserves 5 stars and I would agree but the reason for the 3 stars and most likely not going back (we really would love to go back) is the sommelier !!. When we got seated the extremely nice and friendly hostess offer us utilizing the restaurant's sommelier. I was hesitant but my wife was excited for the sommelier's expert recommendations. I really wish we didn't ask for him. Not only he showed up with zero enthusiasm but also very limited knowledge. It is very clear that he really didn't want to be there. Also from the short conversation we had with him he didn't try to be less arrogant portraying the stereotypical image of a wine snob."

"My wife and I had reservations for lunch at We arrived on the dot and ordered quickly then waited minutes for our meals to arrive! After we finished, and asked for the check, we waited another minutes for the bill. When it arrived I queried the charge for for each glass of house wine, since I had ordered the house Rose, which had been listed on the menu as per glass. The waiter said that Oh, only the red and white house wines were the Rose was Also, my wife had ordered the Lunch Special, which on the menus included the soup DJ. On the bill, soup was charged extra! When we got home I double checked these things on the online menu and phoned the restaurant to clarify the charges. The manager? said she would check the bill and phone me back. Because she did not, I phoned again the next day, but still have not received any response.I may be old but I will not allow people to try to take advantage of me because of it. I have contacted my credit card company to initiate a chargeback for the overcharging"

"Sadly, underwhelmed! Music was too loud, for a Friday night, there was hardly anyone in there, and our waiter seemed preoccupied and in a rush even though it didn’t appear busy. We got the wings, meatballs and roasted cauliflower which were all ok. Meatballs were well cooked, however too sweet for our taste. Could’ve used some spice to balance it out. Wings were ok, too sweet again, and the best was the cauliflower. We left and migrated elsewhere. We were hopeful as the reviews were good! Not sure what happened that night."

No waiter anywhere in sight. I finally got up to go find a waiter (preferably my waiter) and by the time I found him I was so frustrated I could not think about what I had wanted, just thapt he was nowhere to be found. I told the waiter that our meals were excellent, but the poor service really spoiled an otherwise lovely evening. The waiter said that he had been in back" (whatever that means). I told him that I had no idea why he had "been in back", and I could not imagine why is should be OK for him to disappear for so long. After I had spoken with our waiter, the gentleman at the table next to me got up and told the waiter that he seconded what I had already said"

"Oh, boy. Where should I begin? Let's start with a positive. The place is nice. Not a great one, but pleasant enough, all considered. There's a couple of sitting areas inside, a bar and a large outside tent, thanks to Covid. Problem is that it'ssupposed to be a restaurant and not just a lounge. Which brings me to their food. It is horrendously bad. One would think thatit's virtually impossible to ruin shrimp and grits, right? Wrong. The three unpeeled, overcooked and oversalted shrimps arrivedaccompanied by equally terrible mash. A friend had what was supposed to be a vegetable curry. What arrived was borderlineinedible. Starters were just OK. I could continue but, in short, this place is awful. Never again."

While the ambiance was nice enough (although the music was a little loud when we first arrived , the food wasn't spectacular. The the tuna nicoise that I had was overcooked (not my requested medium rare, but, rather, medium and a little tough and overdressed. (Note to self: Ask for the dressing to be on the side. I did not ask about my friends' meals, although they didn't say anything about it either way."

"My family used to go here a decent amount when I was younger. I had always loved it, decided to come back after having not gone in probably 15 years or so. The food overall was very solid, but the service was slightly slow. The pizza funny enough tasted just like I remembered it, in a good way. It did seem a bit empty, I don't know if it was just the time of day/week we chose to go, but it does feel like they need to invest a little into updating the place here and there. My wife was thinking it'd be cool if they had like a little Italian market in the space, kind of like Bay Cities. Either way, looking forward to coming back again."
