"Easily one of the best pizzerias on Long Island hands down. The pizza here is absolutely phenomenal. Personal favorites of mine are regular (cheese), pepperoni, regular sicilian, grandma, and margarita. Absolutely delicious. The staff here are so incredibly kind and outgoing and are always so friendly and make you feel at home. Silvio Tom are two of the most genuine and kindest individuals who will treat you like family every time. Plenty of tables to sit and the place has a relaxed environment and very pleasant. "I have to start by saying that no one makes food quite like this restaurant. It may be a small, hidden gem, but the service is exceptional. The food is the most delicious I have ever tasted. The pizza here is truly exceptional. The owner always takes the time to greet us personally. One thing that I really appreciate is that the owner never gives us a hard time about my youngest child bringing in outside food. It can be difficult to find a welcoming place to dine as a family when my child has autism, so I am grateful for their understanding. The young chef is always so kind and seems to know exactly what we want as soon as we arrive. Thank you for always taking such wonderful care of us. He has become a familiar face in the restaurant, and I have seen him every time we have visited over the past two years. Thank you to the entire staff for the delicious food and the love you show us."

"I always liked going here, always loved the food. I recently got off the phone with a rude young man because I tried to cancel my order and receive a refund and he would not allow it. It is now 8:26p when the food should?ve been here by 7:45. Butanyway, I called at 7:45 to cancel the order and the young lady stated The food was already on its way and asked what was myreason for cancellation. I told her I did not need the food any longer to which she had a young man answer the phone. Completely spoke to me as if I was a child and kept repeating the word ?like? after every word as if I couldn?t comprehend. Hethen explained the same thing the young lady did and stated they made the food already and it?s on its way. I explained thatsince I have not received it I should receive a refund because I don?t have the product but he kept repeating himself in adegrading way to mock me and stated ?why would you order the food if you Didn?t want it or knew that you couldn?t accept it ? That?s not nice?. Like bro are we children? Who has the nerve to say that? I explained that I can?t control if something comesup in my life as things happen outside of peoples control. He then says he will issue a credit and leave it in a ?credit book?for the next time I come in?.as if I would again. If he?s in charge, he has an immature, terrible, unnecessary attitude thatI?ve never experienced in my life from someone that works with customers. Customers get under my skin too and it may cause meto lose my temper as well but it?s common sense to give a refund for a product you did not receive. Now I?m sitting at home8:30p and still nothing. If me getting the credit also meant that the food was no longer coming, they did not explain that andmade it seem like since it was already on the road that I would still get it or had to take it. And yes, I hung up on the youngman because of how incredibly rude he was"

"Anniversary dinner with our two children, 8 and 10. We decided to sit out on the porch on a fairly humid June evening and the ceiling fans made for a nice breeze. We find most restaurants to be overly air-conditioned, but Metro 8 didn't seem like a fridge even when we walked in - that's a huge plus for me! Our waitress was very nice and attentive without interfering. She noted that it was nice to see kids with books (and math in our conversation) instead of iPads. The steaks my husband and I ordered were as advertised and delicious. So were the pages. Our girls loved their grilled chicken. Cocktails were good and just the right strength. Highly recommended."

The flavor was lacking; the meal was bland, and the tomato sauce was just plain—with no Italian seasoning or any enhancement. I was really looking forward to enjoying a delicious veal cutlet parmesan hero, but sadly, I was left disappointed. "I see a lot of bad reviews for this place complaining about the price, but nobody is noting that this pizza is not sweet. A lot of pizza places with cheap pizza have been stretching their ingredients with high fructose corn syrup and the result is a SWEET pizza instead of savory. I won 't name other restaurants that do this, but it 's a trend now. This place does NOT, the pizza is savory as it should be, the crust is thick and firm, a solid NYC slice of regular. I went during an off-hour so it was near empty but the service was spectacular. Yes, a slice is $3 and a pie is $20, but at least they make ACTUAL pizza."
