"Can't beat a great buffet, 2 soft drinks and tip for $30. I went all vegetarian on this one and everything was delicious. More fresh vegetables for the salad section would be a welcomed addition. There are several Indian uses for cucumber (which they had there) to make appetizing salads. A little pickling and curry and they would make that part of the buffet equally as appetizing and the rest. BTW, dessert was included with the Buffet, but I did not over indulge. Overall really good, especially for the price and variety of dishes. J,"

Honestly, VERY GOOD quality and super authentic Indian food. You can’t find a better restaurant andbetter prices as well. Come here with your friends and family and you won’t regret it. "The food at this restaurant was tasty. We tried the chicken tacos, mixed grill appetizers, and naan, all of which were enjoyable. The staff was polite, but there were a few downsides. My water went empty and was never refilled, and when the waitress noticed, she didn't bring a jug. I wouldn't classify this as fine dining since there were only two occupied tables and two waitresses. When I asked for hot sauce, they gave me a sweet chili sauce, which I later learned was their vindaloo sauce, and I was charged $5 for it! I could easily buy a bottle of hot sauce for that price. While I appreciate the experience, I won’t be returning. I suggest being a bit more attentive to customers in the future. Waitstaff should ensure customer satisfaction before expecting a 20% tip. Overall, I don't recommend this place. Perhaps consider delivery to avoid interaction with the staff."

"My husband and I love Indian food and always find time to eat at a local favorite when visiting from out of town. The food here was very good. The vegetable samosa was average, but the chicken Tikka masala was delicious, savory and just spicy enough! The naan was fresh and yummy and the chutneys were what you'd eepect. The only negative was the service. The man who sat us was gracious and polite but our server was abrupt and rude. We ordered our main dish to share and he seemed annoyed and bothered when he asked if we wanted the dinner or a la carte. We were at first a bit confused because we had never been to the restaurant and wasn't aware that there was an option. He simply could have explained the menu to us. Instead he chose to ask the question over and over in an increasingly annoyed tone which left a bad taste in our mouth. Food was good, but bad service is a turn off, and unfortunately put a damper on an otherwise pleasant evening"

"This is the best Indian restaurant in Binghamton! Every time I eat here, the food is absolutely delicious. You must try the chicken mandras; it’s so good! The naan bread is also amazing. The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere, and I can’t wait to go back. The bar is lovely, and the bartender, Lina, is fantastic. The food is the best, and the service is excellent. "Solid Indian food! Surprisingly, the veg dishes here were the best far surpassed the quality and taste of the non-veg ones. We ordered the vegetarian dinner for two non-vegetarian dinner for two — both incredible deals. The tandoori mix plate was just ok — it was drier than I wanted, wouldn’t get again. The eggplant bharta, malai kofta, paneer tikka masala, and the samosas were the real winners here. For dessert, having sampled 80% of it lol, the kheer (rice pudding) and mango kulfi was the best."

"I order tandoori chicken, lamb biryani, shrimp biryani, samosa chat, butter naan, keema naan, rogan josh, paneer karahi. All total of $115 but I waste my money in the restaurant. Tandoori chicken was all dried and lots of color mix, lamb biryani from any angle it was not biryani and I even could not eat one spoon of it due to very bad lamb smell, shrimp biryani was not looked like biryani. Samosa chaat, they put nothing except yoghurt and looked like they made a day before, butter and keema naan all burned and keema naan had very bad smell like lamb biryani. Paneer Karachi’s paneer was not cooked properly and tastes was bad, rogan josh taste was very bad and smells like live lamb, I could not eat even single spoon. I order all these for dinner and I order afternoon but looked like it was made afternoon and served me when I went to pickup. Customer service is not good, they do not have smily face instead they looked like angry. I am not going there ever again and do not suggest any food from this restaurant. This place is worst Indian restaurant that I have ever visit. If there was negative star then I would have press that. And last but not least, finding parking is nightmare"

"We were driving down from Massachusetts to NJ home. But decided to stop by here. Thank god that we did. Because this was hands down THE MOST AUTHENTIC Indian food I have had in the United States. For appetizers, got pani poori. The water was really good!!! The gol gappas were fresh. Very tasty appetizer. For mains, I got aloo pyaaz parantha. Which came with a side of yogurt, onions chili, aloo sabzi and pickles. The dish really came together with all the little details. (Ended up getting another order of this to go. Also, got Chicken Biryani. Came with a side of yogurt as well. This was also really good too. I wish lived close by to come to this place regularly. But will definitely will be coming to this place again. Also, shoutout to the staff. Really nice and friendly."

"I thought the restaurant was nice, clean and a great place to bring family and friends. My fiancee is from India so it was important for me to find a place where she could get the type of food she desired and missed from back home. She did the ordering as she could read what it said and knew what the offerings were as I did not. There was one main dish that she requested and it came out, not to her liking. She brought it to the waiters attention and he just shrugged and said, thats how they make it and offered nothing to replace it or a redo or even subtract it from the bill. That situation could have been handled differently and I am disappointed that she just left the dish there, and trust me, she is one that never throws anything out, so it must have been bad, Other than that, the evening was nice, we enjoy our time together and the restaurant on the whole was worth the drive."

"Visited Sep 19, 2023, Thursday afternoon for lunch. Please note that this place seems to have changed hands in ownership. They don't offer buffet anymore but you can still see the old buffet containers against the wall, not sure what purpose it serve but seems to just take up space and give a kind of wrong impression but anyway, I think not very important. Ambience is good and the place is nice and clean. Was not very busy at the time of my visit. Currently, it seems to be run by a South Indian family, you can see the center piece decoration on the wall and the two paintings one on the right and one one left seems to have been left by previous north Indian owners. Anyways, the food quality is very good. Prices are good. Not too low, nor too high but right where they should be. Service is good. Not the top notch as sometime the limited staff may be busy with other things like at the cash register, dealing with pick up orders and may not be able to pay attention to people at tables. The parking is free and available for a bunch of shops in the small mini market/compound. You may or may not find a parking spot there based on how busy all the shops are at that particular hour. Overall it was a good experience and I would recommend it but the only downside was they taxed each item twice, first the item was taxed and on the total amount it was taxed again. When it was brought to the attention of the staff they said they have recently updated their Clover POS system. But no apology was issued for the incorrect billing and in fact, no correct in the bill was made and they were happy to charge me double taxed sum, which I believe is illegal but I didn't want to ruin my mood for this glitch."

"We like the food at Tawa. We used to go to Tangra Biryani (TB across the street from Tawa particularly for their curry goat. Once TB closed (which we didn't know why at the time , we began to check out Tawa and fell in love with the place. Come to find out month later that TB and Tawa had merged businesses, so now our favorites were all in one place. We haven't been disappointed with the food nor the staff whom with open arms always greet us with warm welcomes and conversation. We enjoy our time everytime we eat here. Our favorites and what we pretty much stick to: 1. Curry goat 2. Saag Paneer 3. Chicken Tikka (which is like a grilled chicken with no sauce 4. Chiken Tikka Masala sauce (we usually just put sauce in a bowl minus the chicken that's in it and dip, dip, dip away! 5. Tandoori chicken 6. Biryani rice"

"Exceptional food in an authentic, non-demanding environment. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful, which added to the great experience. For bread lovers, there are 3 different breads, all of which are made there and are all wonderful. I stop on the way out of town to pick up bread and take it home to friends. My salad was fabulous and the vodka chicken pasta (a specialty) was cooked perfectly with a wonderful sauce. The specials change with the seasons. Desserts are all made there and everyone looked great. We share the ice cream on Sunday with homemade caramelized marshmallows and chocolate ganache. It was wonderful. You can share it with 4 people as it is very large. We will definitely have dinner here again when we return to Mayo and Golf."
