"I had heard a lot of great things about Golden Peacock, so my friend and I decided to stop by for lunch after swimming at Camp Jahn. Instead of the scorpion shell recommended by our waitress, we opted for the house shell. I can’t really say what the difference is between the two, but it didn’t matter because it was delicious. We shared a Pupu plate for two, which was more than enough food for us. We also added an extra order of crab rangoons, which were the best I’ve ever had. They were creamy and crunchy on the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside. It’s clear that they frequently change their frying oil, which makes a huge difference in the flavor of the food. Our waitress was a real character—she was not only helpful but also very funny, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The ambiance has a cozy small Chinese restaurant feel, which might be a bit of a challenge for some, but overall, the food and service were exceptional. I highly recommend this place; the prices are good, and the service is fast."
