"**Quality:** The food was solid, and the drinks were delightful. I sampled two margaritas: the Spicy Mango Margarita and the Habanero Cucumber Margarita. Both were enjoyable, but the Habanero Cucumber Margarita offered a particularly unique and delicious flavor combination. For appetizers, the Steak Nachos were fantastic; I appreciated how they were layered to ensure every bite was packed with flavor. The Carnitas Burrito was okay, but it was the least impressive dish as it was a bit bland. On the other hand, the Camarones Tacos were outstanding, especially with the refreshing mango salsa. **Quantity:** The portions were generous, and the drinks were strong. **Value:** The prices were reasonable, with cocktails ranging from $12 to $15, the Steak Nachos at $17, the Carnitas Burrito at $14, and the Camarones Tacos at $12. **Ambiance:** Mexico Authentico is situated in Park Slope, featuring a small outdoor patio that is charmingly decorated and a cozy indoor dining area. Tables line the left wall, while a small bar is on the right. The walls are adorned with vibrant decorations, and lively Spanish music plays in the background. A large television is positioned toward the back but was off during our visit. **Crowd:** It was bustling for a Friday night, likely influenced by the rain, which kept many locals nearby, searching for a spot to enjoy a drink. **Service:** The staff was friendly and accommodating. **Parking:** Be aware that parking is limited in this residential area."

"We ate here recently. It was not a new place for us, bu that been here only 1-2 times in many years. We enjoyed the chips and dip, although it certainly appeared they actually counted how many chips we were allowed. The ambiance is very good here the rooms are broken up so noise doesn 't spread. We both had chimichan 's. Hers was chicken and mine beef. I appreciated my food more than she did. As she started eating it, she noticed it looked more like a beef-filed one. She called the waitress over and showed her. The waitress agree it appeared the kitchen had made a mistake. A second one was ordered and came quickly. But as she was eating it once again the color and texture of the meat was not chicken, The manager finally came to the table. He left and went to the kitchen. Came back after 1-2 minutes later. He explained that it was indeed chicken, but the meat is a mixture of seasoned pork and chicken. My wife ate her food, but was upset because the name of the entree was 'chicken '. She didn 't enjoy it because she could taste the difference firstly but mostly because it was NOT what she wanted and it turned out ALL their chicken and beef are mixtures. My beef one it turned out was also a mixture. Why they did it we don 't know. As we let her comment to me was "I will never eat here again. Make sure when you write this up that you let others who might read it know what they are getting. . I am now doing it. Unfortunately for the restaurant, it appears many others are no longer fond of it because for a Saturday evening it was less than half full."

"I've tried this place 3 times already and feel comfortable enough to write this review. The location seats on fast travel portion of San Leandro Blvd, next to new refurbished park. The restaurant is cozy with simple decor and vibrant colors. The way to order it's a bit odd, you place the order at cash register first, near the entrance, just be aware of it. The burrito selection and options was surprisingly good from the types of meats -to- flavor totillas. The green (tomato, onion, cilantro) part of the burrito taste fresh. The beans and rice are good too, not over or under cook with good flavor. The meats are not over seasoned for the most part and good texture. The chips are ok, nothing especial but the salsa that comes with, it's really good. You can tell it's fresh with a nice citricy undertone and a nice level of kick (spiciness) that pleases most. The (Azteca) soup was pleasantly good, as well, recommended for the upcoming cold days. I typically don't order fry fish nor I'm into Mole but the party that tried this place with me raved about. Tasted the fish and it was clean meaty tasting, none of the overused oil after taste. Did not have a chance to taste the Mole but it appears to be the real deal, authentic Oaxaca type mole. The service is very helpful and friendly, no complaint here. This place is definitely a hidden gem which has outshine most of the mexican restaurant downtown SL in it's short existence. I hope the quality of this place stays up as times goes by."
