"First, I 'd like to say that my wife and I have been coming here off and on for several years, and we 've always enjoyed our experience. Today, however, was and is a different story. Our waitress was personable and warm, and she took care of us promptly. Food wasn 't quite up to par from what we remember, but here 's what 's *really* bothering me: the host and bussers are some of the most unimpressive, inexperienced, non-personable people I 've ever seen in the food service industry, and here 's why... No smile. No Hey, good morning, how are ya . No uniform. The kid 's pants were hanging down over his rear end, and he had zero physical indicators that he even worked there. One of the bussers was eating her breakfast (ive never, in all my years working in the food service industry, eaten my meal at the beginning of my shift while on the clock. Such disrespect. while people were standing at the door waiting for clean tables. (There were at least 4 or 5 unoccupied tables directly surrounding me that I would 've been more than happy to have filled with paying customers Overall, if I was FOH manager here, things would be drastically different, and the standard would return. These kids these days really don 't know what it takes to impress people. We 'll be back, but I 'd hope that staffing is different when we return, or at least better trained and kept in line."

"My wife and I looked over the menu, and soon one of the five young staff members brought us water and cutlery, assuring us that our server would be with us shortly. We patiently waited for almost 20 minutes, watching other customers arrive, sit, order, and receive their meals while we remained unattended. It became clear that we had been seated in an area that was overlooked by the serving staff, as another server was busy attending to tables in a different section. Eventually, after we were ignored for nearly half an hour, a server finally came over, apparently out of breath, to take our order. Our food arrived about ten minutes later, and to be fair, it was quite good. However, as we ate, we noticed several tables asking for napkins, ketchup, and extra water while the young staff members chatted and joked together in the doorway. When we got up to pay our bill, we saw an older male cashier asking other tables how they enjoyed their meals. When I paid, he noticed the entertainment coupon I had on my receipt and simply gave me my change without inquiring about our experience. What do we think of Susie's? The place was busy, and the food was decent, but it seems like the staff could use more training. Our server appeared to be overwhelmed, and if the younger help had assisted with bringing napkins and condiments, it would have alleviated some of the pressure. It might also have been the case that we were seated in an area that wasn't assigned to any server. Perhaps one of the scheduled servers had called in sick that day, leaving only two to manage the workload. As of now, we can't recommend Susie’s, especially not on a Sunday. We left feeling irritated rather than satisfied, and we would have preferred to go to Denny's instead. The reason I’m sharing this detailed account is in hopes that it provides constructive feedback for both Susie’s and the entertainment book, as well as to vent a little. And yes, we did leave a tip, as our server did try their best to take care of us — they might have excelled with more effective support."
