"We 've been here many, many times and while I enjoy this restaurant I wouldn 't say I love it. The food is, in Yelp parlance, a-okay, but that 's really it. Last night I had baby back ribs, brisket, coleslaw, beans and a corn bread muffin. Okay, the ribs. They 're good, I 'd give them a B. The meat is tender and easily comes off the bone, but not over cooked. They could have a more smoky flavor and a more flavorful rub though. The barbecue sauce on the side is very good, but outstanding ribs don 't need sauce. These did. The brisket. A solid D, maybe D-. What in the world was this pile of dry stringy meat on my plate? Surely not brisket? Oh yes, as a matter of fact it was. What a complete and utter disappointment. Dry, chewy, stringy beef is not supposed to be 'what 's for dinner '! Coleslaw, beans and corn bread were very good and exactly what I would expect. Bread pudding with Jack Daniels sauce and whip cream. Sounds devine and the 5 bites or so that we were served was. Too bad it 's the smallest dessert portion in the history of the universe... well maybe not in the 'history ', but it 's close. I 've noticed on yelp a few other barbecue restaurants in Ellensburg that get better reviews, next time I think we 'll try one of them."
