"Bajis is a very quaint cafe on Old Middlefield, next to many car repair shops. I have come to always associate fixing my car and coming here for brunch/ lunch if its a quick fix. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and gives off a warm feeling. The staff is enthusiastic and kind. I had the omelett, pancakes, and milk shake, which are all stellar. The steak as expected is not going to be as scrumptious as at an expensive steakhouse. I sat in the outside area with my dog and was pleased to see they had radiators for warmth. While nice to have, the lights can get a little too bright/ hot for comfort. Overall I can highly recommend this place!"

Staff is always SO friendly. Been coming for years and can't ever pass up the Funhouse Hangover. Perfect every time and 110% worth the $20.

good food and affordable price! the decoration is not modern, but rather cozy. Surprisingly, it was not necessary to wait to get a place for a Saturday brunch.

Have went there couple of times now, love the vibe! Food is equally great. Quick service. Friendly staff. Will definitely recommend for Weekend Brunch in the Bay Area. View menu

Great quality, servers and ambience (we sat outside). We ordered omelette, french toast and eggs benedict. Everything was great, eggs benedict was ok (hence only 4 stars).

it is an American breakfast place and not very crowded on a weekday. eating is decent and I just tried the omelette. it's good, but then it's not a rocket science to make omelettes.

I brought my kids here. Saw us and ignored us about 1/2 hour until I said something. My children are allergic to milk. Two Hamburgers ordered, two Cheeseburgers. I told them my children didn't have milk, brought us two burgers with the cheese. had to be reordered. The staff seemed to be very irritated with us. The food was probably okay, wasn't it?. Really good simple breakfast! Not to mention very friendly staff. Ok I know...I ordered a simplistic breakfast but it was good. Scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, red potatoes and sourdough toast. The eggs were cooked perfectly. Soft not too soft, the chicken sausage was very flavorful and the toast was nice and thick; buttered perfectly. All accompanied but a vanilla cappuccino with extra shots of espresso. This is place to go for big hearty breakfast with nice waiters. THUMBS UP if you like Bajis Cafe or this review please.

Came in here for breakfast while stuck in town trying to get home to Seattle. I absolutely love diner food and the french toast is my barometer for a good diner. I had a French Toast Slammer (eggs, bacon, and french toast) and it was fantastic. Thick cut french toast that was perfectly cooked, moist on the inside but still plenty of bite, crispy bacon, and perfectly cooked over easy eggs. Great diner coffee too and quick service right away in the morning. Server was attentive and the place was very clean with barriers up between booths and sanitizer when you walk in to the restaurant. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely come back!

"Date Night ASA Restaurant has two locations in the Bay Area and their Los Gatos location earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition This was my first dining experience at their more north location in downtown Los Altos With high ceilings and heart themed adorned menus, this was a perfect spot for a Valentine’s week dining experience The menu here is slightly different from the Los Gatos location and I’ve heard that the two locations may not be as closely affiliated when they first opened I loved the appetizers and particular loved the anchovy bread with two different anchovy types topped on crisp, warm bread. The Dungeness crab appetizer was also excellent For entrees, I opted for ASA’s signature exotic mushroom pasta that is on both the Los Gatos and Los Altos menu As a fungi fan, I absolutely love this dish and it’s one of the best pasta dishes in the South Bay and Peninsula The only miss was their special of the day of striped bass over risotto. The purple yam purée was sour and the risotto dry with zero moisture or liquid and more like a cooked rice dish than a risotto ASA is a fantastic destination for the Bay Area and while the prices are elevated, they reflect elevated cuisine (and high ceilings) Smoked and Stoned $16 Anchovy Bread $16 Dungeness Crab Toast $36 Special Striped Bass over Risotto ASA’s Exotic Mushroom Pasta $34 ASA Restaurant (Los Altos, CA) Reservations are recommended on Opentable and dining is indoor only. Credit cards including AmEx are accepted."

"The experience here from start to finish was pretty odd, and the service was bad. Menus weren't brought to us for a long time, they apologized when they eventually gave the menus to us. The restaurant was nearly empty aside from one other table, but everything was slow. We weren't checked in on at all during the meal. When we ordered, the waitress was very confused and unfamiliar with the menu. I assumed she was new, but then we received the same confusing service from all staff. We were randomly brought French fries that we didn't order, and then that kept happening with various other menu items The veggies in all the dishes were cold and tasted watery, unseasoned, and like they had been frozen. Scallion pancakes had no scallions in them at all. Basil eggplant dish had no basil at all. Smoothie wasn't blended properly: all ice at the bottom, and only a super sweet watery liquid would come through the straw. It tasted like the same overly-processed sauce was on every dish, nothing felt fresh. The kimchi rice was a good menu item, but it didn't really taste like kimchi. Just seasoned rice. Appetizer and drinks were brought out after we finished everything. A staff member tried to argue with us when we wanted to send something back. When we paid and thanked them, they didn't say a word to us or even look in our direction, and didn't give us a customer copy of the receipt."
