"Very enjoyable dinner at this fine dining restaurant. Service was good, not perfect due to the amount of tables our server had. At one point, we could tell he was in the weeds because he sent another server over to take our entree order. When telling us the specials, he never mentioned the Tomahawk Steak as an option, but we heard another server mention it to the people at his table. He also didn't ask if we wanted any kind of a sauce with our steaks and it wasn't until I was halfway through my filet when I realized that I failed to order the Bearnaise sauce which I usually like with my filet. Bummer...my bad, but I do wish he had tried to upsell us on a sauce with our steak. Overall, he did a good job but it's fine dining and very expensive so my expectations are high in a restaurant like Pellana. We started with salads, which were very generous and good although my Caesar had way too much white lettuce in it. My husband had the porterhouse and I had the filet. Both very good and cooked to order. We had a side of grilled asparagus and a side of onion strings and both were tasty. The bread basket is a must there. Popovers, an Italian style bread and thin slices of what tasted like cinnamon toast. Drinks were done perfectly. For dessert we shared the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. The only downside of the evening was seeing people being let in wearing hoodies, jeans and sneakers. They do state proper attire, but Pellana really doesn't enforce it which given the atmosphere and the cost to dine there they should. If people want to dine out wearing jeans, sneakers and hoodies they should eat elsewhere where that kind of attire fits into the atmosphere. But other than that, we enjoyed our meal at Pellana."

"This was my first visit to Oceanaire. I am always extremely fair since I know how valuable these reviews are. I had heard good things about Oceanaire and was looking forward to this upscale experience on Christmas Day. Upon entering, I was greeted at the door and shown my seat. As I sat, I was immediately asked if I would like a drink. I ordered my drink and received it about 15 minutes later. I was then asked if I would like to order, which I did. The food came fairly quickly which was surprising being that it was pretty crowded and we had 8 people in our party. I ordered the New York strip steak at 62 dollars. I was expecting this steak to be incredible, it was not. I’ve had much better at red lobster for half of the price. Barely seasoned, and just a little juicy. I needed to go to the kitchen and assist the chef but I didn’t. lol. I asked for some garlic butter to assist the steak but it didn’t help much since it wasn’t cooked with the seasoning. I also ordered the hash browns as my side(sides are not included) which took up an entire 2nd plate and was one giant heap of golden brown potatoes like you would get at Denny’s with the added grease. I think that my expectations were just too high coming in. I was never asked if I would like a second drink nor was my party asked if we would like desert. We were just given the check with the 20% gratuity automatically included which is to be expected with a large party. Make sure you have cash if you are using the valet, they do not take credit cards."

"I had a party of and agreed to a minimum course pre-fixed menu. When we finally received our entrees at around hours after we sat down), we all ordered medium or medium well and received the inedible steaks in the attached photos, resulting in almost all of them being sent back. After the second steaks were brought out, almost all of those had to be sent back a second time! Many of my guests did not even end up eating an entree at all because by the time the second iteration of the filets arrived, it was at the end of our reservation and thus time for us to attend our next reservation. We ended up having to leave before dessert was even being prepared, as we didn’t want to wait the estimated minutes for dessert when it was already PM To say this was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had is an understatement. It was embarrassing asking people to pay for what they received. Only about half of my guests ate an entree that was what they ordered, forget the fact that it was hours late. In addition, the asparagus sides served were not the seasonal vegetables (Brussels sprouts) that we were told it would be While David was accommodating in removing items from the bill to attempt to compensate for the wait time, we never received anything off for the raw steaks and overall terrible experience. The compensation David offered was not nearly enough, as we didn’t receive ANYTHING that was satisfactory and almost half of my guests never received an entree that they ordered."

"Hyde Park, Columbus, delivered one of the most memorable dining experiences I have ever had. From the moment we arrived, the exceptional hospitality and professionalism were evident. Our server, Paul, deserves special recognition for his outstanding service. His friendliness, attentiveness, and genuine desire to enhance our dining experience made a significant impression and easily made him the best server I’ve ever encountered. We started the evening with a phenomenal Moscow Mule. Served in a traditional heavy mule cup, the cocktail had a perfect balance of flavors, setting a high standard for the night. Upon entering our private room for the event, we were greeted with an impressive display of three-tier seafood plates. Although I did not personally sample the seafood, their presentation was truly spectacular. The fried lobster, however, was an absolute standout. It ranks as one of the best appetizers I’ve ever had, boasting an exquisite taste and texture. The lamb chop lollipops were equally delightful, tender and seasoned to perfection, accompanied by a delicious sauce that complemented the meat wonderfully. Throughout the evening, both white and red wines flowed generously, each one of top-tier quality. The dessert wine, in particular, was a revelation—the best I’ve ever tasted, though I regret not knowing its name. For my main course, I chose the Ryan Day steak. While the interior was cooked to perfection as per my request, I found the charring a bit excessive for my taste. I later learned that this is a characteristic style of their cooking. Despite this, the steak’s flavor was excellent, and I would not hesitate to order it again. The French onion soup I had as an appetizer was extraordinary, undoubtedly the best I’ve ever had. Though I cannot recall the specific side dish I paired with my steak, I remember it being equally impressive, rounding out a nearly flawless meal. Overall, Hyde Park, Columbus, provided one of the top dining experiences of my life. I rate the restaurant a solid 5 out of 5, or more fittingly, an 11 out of 10. Paul’s exemplary service only amplified this remarkable evening, warranting a rating of 15 out of 10. This establishment is truly exceptional, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a superior dining experience."
