"Fairly small place, but even though they were short on help at that time, the lady working (the only one in front) was phenomenal. She handled everything without showing stress. Food was awesome. Onion Rings were like from home Chipolte Black Bean Burger was the best I have ever had. My husband's sandwich was excellent. We will definitely keep that on our radar whenever we are in the area. Vegetarian options: I try to do vegetarian as much as I can and I had a hard time until I say the Chipotle Black bean burger."

"I really like Pitta Jungle, and the food, service and ambience was great. They run a tight ship and ensure you are seated well, the food is good (and it was) and follow up with any questions. I do have a love/hate relationship with the location, as it’s in down town tempe but everything is tightly regimented in terms of parking, which sucks. Nothing to do with the Jungles quality of service or food. And I would use it 100% if I was going to the nearby movie theatre. Oh and on a pandemic note: They wore full masks, followed every guideline and made us feel v comfortable. I am going to visit again as the value of money and the excellent food was 100% worth it."

"Dear Hubby and I have dined here a number of times since I posted my first review of them in 2016. We enjoy it, and it's a family friendly place, as well. Having the bakery onsite is a bonus. On a recent visit, the food quality wasn't quite as good as previous times. DH had the meatloaf, which was tasty, but on the dry side. Lots of gravy helped cover that over, but he didn't finish it, so I had it for lunch today and the texture was definitely not moist. Still had good flavor, though. I went for the fish tacos. I actually would have preferred the fish as a fish chips affair, as the well prepared white fish got lost in the tacos. Might even be better on a bun fish sandwich. I'll try to remember for another time. We enjoy their colorful, whimsical vintage vibe for the décor. The old fashioned belt driven fans overhead reminds one of bygone days. They'd added some bunny decorating touches, and colorful eggs in the spirit of Spring and Easter. Our server was friendly and charming, but not always readily available when we needed him. They weren't that crowded on a Wednesday evening, so that could have been smoother. The chocolate raspberry cake was excellent, and a very good value in these days of dessert prices soaring way past $10. It was just $5.95, and it really hit the mark as far as presentation and flavor profile. Dear Hubby opted for pie. They only had apple, but it was cinnamon y with a perfect flaky crust. Great finish to the meal. Tip from a friend if you order the California Chicken Salad, definitely have the dressing on the side, because it gets watered down among the greens and doesn't deliver a taste profile that's very interesting."

"Our Pita Jungle in Tucson recently closed, so we decided to stop by on our way home from the Phoenix Airport. The food was just as delicious as I remembered! I opted for the Street Style Gyro special and it was fantastic. I highly suggest trying their hearty sandwich wraps. The combination of pickles and tzatziki sauce added a nice tangy flavor to the beef and lamb mixture. Overall, it was absolutely delicious!"

"Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon, I was promptly seated on the patio which I requested. Ordered the baba ganoush and a Greek salad. Having never tried ganoush, I thought it had good flavor and texture similar to hummus.The Greek salad looked amazing, other than the large cucumbers, but the taste was a little disappointing as it didn't have any dressing to enhance the flavors.I also ordered a gyro that had good flavor, but I found it on the small side, especially considering the price.Overall I found the atmosphere and service very satisfying, I was slightly disappointed in my food selection this particular day."

"My wife and I have been visiting this restaurant since it first opened over ten years ago, and we always receive a warm welcome from the staff. The service is consistently outstanding, and the food is delicious. The pulled pork sandwich is particularly tasty, with the meat smoked right on the premises. "We've eaten here several times and have good experiences. This time our food was cold and service was just as bad. They kindly allowed us to sit on patio with mu puppy but the waitress rarely bothered to come out. "After many visits over the years, this review is long overdue! I travel all over the Valley, and whenever it's time to eat, I try to find one of the 20 Pita Jungle locations for a quick, light lunch. I enjoy the fresh food and absolutely LOVE the teas they offer, especially the green tea. Lately, I’ve been frequenting the Pita Jungle at Frank Lloyd Wright and Thompson Peak more often than other locations. One of the items on the seasonal menu was a fantastic, loaded taco for $3, which was perfect for a light, healthy lunch. Unfortunately, the taco was removed from the menu, but my server, Lara L., offered a special option that’s even better than the taco I enjoyed so much. It’s a toasted pita loaded with moist, tender chicken, pine nut roasted red pepper hummus, and topped with red tomatoes. It's become my new perfect light lunch! Thank you, Lara L., for the great service and the wonderful food suggestion!"

"Haven't had Pita Jungle in a while so I decided to try out this location. My bf and I had 2 delicious wraps, service was quick, food was good. We added some baklavas for dessert, but upon biting it I felt something weird in my throat. It felt hard so I immediately tried to spit out. It was like pieces of a plastic thread. My bf took a bite of his right after and found it on his too. I broke down the third one with my hands and found more. We were obviously disappointed but we know accidents happen. I was concerned I saw it in more than one though, since it could be a choking hazard so I called the restaurant to let them know. The girl that answered just wanted to send me to the manager but after telling her I wasn't going to complain she said thanks for letting them know. No info asked about when was the order or anything so I just hope they did check their stuff for other people's safety."

"I called in an order at 4:00 on a Sunday afternoon. The place was not busy at all, only three tables with individuals eating. I ordered just two gyros. Not a hard order. Arrived 15 min later and waited another 20 for my take out. Looked like plenty of staff available as they were walking around joking and laughing with each other. Saw at least five different employees come from the kitchen area. Got my gyros home, unwrapped and was definitely disappointed. Have eaten at the Scottsdale location many times and always satisfied and the portions generous. I won?t go to this location again. Yes that?s the tiny tomato slice on each."

"Gertrude's has a lovely ambience for dinner. Our food was good and our waitstaff in general was friendly and helpful. However, when our entree arrived, 2 of our 3 diners did not have a fork to eat with. It took quite a while for the waiter to remember to bring them while our food got colder. The coffee that was served was also lukewarm and had to be refreshed. It's a shame for an elegant restaurant to fall down on small details like these because it's frustrating to have to ask for good service when it should be part of the dining experience there."

"Went to lunch here yesterday with my 2 daughters. Got completely ignored for at least 10 mins before the server came over. I had just commented to my daughter that if nobody showed up on 30 seconds we were leaving. Ordered 2 iced teas and a kids lemonade. And our food. The kids meal looked great when it was delivered. Took a picture even to send to her dad. However the turkey was just cut up cold meat, broccoli was practically raw. Rice had zero flavor but the fruit was warm?! Go figure. Needless to say she ate only the fruit. My food was under seasoned and loaded with onions! The picture is from the half I brought home and that?s not including the gobs I ate before taking the picture. My older daughter got the cheesesteak pita with no onions but there was a pound of peppers instead. She picked around it and then decided it wasn?t good and didn?t eat it. It wasn?t busy but we never saw our server again (not even to see how the food was, a drink refill etc). until after someone else brought us to go box. I commented loudly as he walked by that we need a box. And he grabbed it for us. Server finally brought the bill and then took off with the card for over 10 more mins. Def wasn?t impressed with this visit or the service. Our server was Bucher."

"I stumbled upon the local Husker Bar in Salt Lake City while looking for a place to catch Nebraska football games! They have plenty of TVs downtown, and it was the perfect spot for the game. The beer selection was great, and the pizza was delicious—I ended up eating more than I planned because it was so tasty! "This pita jungle location is so bad...every time we order or eat in person it's like a totally different restaurant from all the other locations. Tonight, we ordered online, husband picked up, gets home and we realize items were missing. I just called toget some resolution and the girl who answered gave me the run around asked for my name several times, took my number and saidthe manager would have to deal with this. I then I asked for a manager, who again asked me for my name and items in my order.Acted like she was making a huge concession to offer to refund my missing items... Obviously I would like the money back for thethings I didn't get. She put me on hold for several minutes and came back to tell me the refund would process in 2 days. Thatwas it. So now I get to supplement the dinner we ordered with stuff from the kitchen.
