"I am going to attempt keep this one short and to the point. First and foremost, I want to start by stating that Tony 's performance was an absolute disgraceful performance. Quite frankly, he was unprofessional. Last weekend, my lady and I traveled all the way from Chicago to (attempt) to eat at this establishment. Key word attempt. When we arrived there was only one other group in the entire restaurant. It was a party of four or five people, therefore, it was not busy at all. We were seated by a waiter named Tony. That was literally the end of our service. My lady and I read through the entire menu, then we had to decided on what we were going to order. We waited, and waited, and we waited for Tony to return to our table. In fact, we had a taste for some ice cream later so we started to Google ice cream parlors in the nearby area, essentially waiting for Tony to return to our table. After waiting for about 20 real-time minutes, I walked over to the bar and asked the lady if she could alert Tony. I literally heard her inform Tony (who was on the other end of the bar that we were ready and he needed to return to the table. I returned to my table, And we waited ... And we waited ... And we waited... Then, we see Tony nonchalantly walk to and from the kitchen area. Still, there was no service. Again, this place was almost empty, with the exception of one other party of four or five people. Literally, that was it. After 30 minutes of real-time waiting for Tony to return to the table to take our order, we slowly started to gather our items and put on our coats. As we started to walk towards the exit, Tony was seen laughing, joking, and having a casual conversation with some gentleman. It wasn 't until he saw us about to walk out the door, before he finally attempted to acknowledge us. Tony asked if everything was okay, I told him he clearly seemed preoccupied. Tony clearly didn 't care. His performance or lack thereof was absolutely disgraceful. Quite frankly, he refused to serve us. He didn 't even have the decency to apologize or to attempt to make it right. My lady and I will never return to this establishment. For folks that are looking for some real Peruvian food, I would highly recommend trying Taste of Peru in Roger Park."

"One of my favorite restaurant experiences I have ever experienced. From the moment we walked in the door, the immediate seating from our reservation, the beautiful smiling faces all around it was just wonderful from the get-go. I had asked online when I placed my reservation if they could leave a simple little note on the table for my fiancé from me. When we got to the table I did not see a note and I was perfectly ok with that ! (because it is a lot to ask for, as a server you have your duties, and leaving a note on the table stating the customers love for someone else is not one of those duties) ... I had totally counted that out as if it were not going to happen and I was totally fine with that! About half way through our experience a beautiful young lady came up to the table, with a golden painted rose in hand and a wonderful handwritten note with exactly what I asked for... When I say this simple action made both of our days.. The simplest of things, and they executed it perfectly and I will never forget the experience I had here, from the food to the drinks to the service, everything was star experience, and the workers went above and beyond to make this happen. I could also write a novel about how amazing the food and drinks were. I've never eaten food that was prepared or served like SUYO.. Star, absolute Star. I will be making the hour drive back to visit you guys again and from the bottom of my heart thank you for making such a simple dining experience absolutely unforgettable."

"Great service, excellent food, nice ambience in the patio area. They have mister fans in the patio that make even the heat of Austin bearable. The inside was very noisy so preferred to sit outside. Food was very tasty, very authentic, not your typical “mexican” stuff. Presented very artfully. Great cocktails. Service was with the most beautiful smiles!"

"Cabra was a super fun experience! The location, on the rooftop of the Hoxton Hotel, is fantastic and the way that the space is designed gives it lots of open air seating options in summer, and lots of covered options for when it?s colder. The menu is lots of fun, with smaller and larger shareable plates and Stephanie Izard?s innovative touch is clearly present throughout. All the food we tried tasted great, with a few super indulgent treats, like the smashed fingerling potatoes in creamy but light cheese sauce, or the goat empanadas. Such a delight! Service was good, though a bit slow our waitress told us that they had two staff members call off unexpectedly. Given that, I think they staff did fantastic and remained friendly and upbeat throughout. An absolute recommendation!"

"Holy Moley is this place good. Please, if you ever visit here (or their other newer Mission St. Location), try the fried rice with your dish at least once. It is just... so satisfying. It's seasoned with soy-sauce with egg and green onion. My favorite dish hands-down is the Pollo Saltado. It is a classic Peruvian dish with tender sautéed chicken, onions, tomato wedges, French fries and cilantro all cooked with a soy-sauce broth. The fries are not too soggy like at some other Peruvian places I've tried, and the chicken is perfectly seasoned and juicy. The tomato wedges are a juicy compliment to the meat. I've also tried the Casa de Atun which is a layered stack of yellow mashed potatoes with tuna salad in the middle and topped with an egg slice, olive, and huancaina sauce. Super delicious and savory. The sauce is just enough spice to add a kick. I am glad they have a side salad as an option because I like to add fresh greens when I can and their salad is very refreshing. They give you a Peruvian vinaigrette which is super delicious. And I have to mention the restaurant itself. The wood paneled walls, the decor, and the humble furniture give this place a very 70s, hole in the wall type feeling. I kinda hope they don't change it, because it just gives you this comfortable old-school vibe. Love this place and have lots of the menu left to try!"

"Typically, we really enjoy this restaurant and it's always our top choice for dining out in Hermosa Beach. However, during our recent visit, the white meat chicken was overcooked, resulting in a dry and stringy texture. I was quite hungry, so I managed to eat most of it, but I felt it was important to let the waitress know about the issue. She mentioned that she would inform the manager, but unfortunately, the manager never came over to address the situation, nor did we receive any compensation, not even a dessert or an apology for our feedback. Additionally, our water glasses remained empty for a significant portion of the meal, the waitress forgot our salad, and the brown rice was overlooked as well. To top it off, the music was a bit too loud. Unfortunately, this experience has made us hesitant to return in the future."

"The food was good except the hot dishes came out cold. Our server was extremely inattentive. He would pass our table several times without even looking at us before we would be able to place an order, and every time I tried to get his attention he was standing off to the side completely on his phone. We had to get up, walk over to him, and hand him the check ourselves just to pay after waiting for 20 minutes ready to pay. Unfortunately a 20% tip was automatically included for him, absolutely undeserved."

"Any chance I get to indulge in authentic Peruvian food, I pounce. I'm in the area for work and knew I had to stop in for dinner. I am SO glad I did. Pukara is a small storefront in a small strip plaza. The hostess sat me quickly and my waitress was super friendly.I ordered Risotto a la Huancaina con Lomo Saltado and a mango pisco sour. The drink was perfectly crafted and my entree was INCREDIBLE. The steak was perfectly cooked (asked for medium) and the risotto was rich and creamy. I will DEFINITELY be back next time I'm in the area."

"This is one of my favorite places to eat. While the food isn't extraordinary, the decor is unremarkable, and the service can sometimes be on the slower side, the restaurant has a warm, family-oriented atmosphere, and the food is consistently delicious. Occasionally, the dishes might be a little salty, but I always leave feeling satisfied and extremely full, as the portions are generous. The menu is also fantastic for those who enjoy variety, as it features a mix of Peruvian and Chinese dishes. You might find it a bit unusual, but I learned that the owners are a married couple, with the woman being Peruvian and the man Chinese, which explains the combination. Overall, this place is definitely worth a visit!"

"As you would expect for an Argentinian restaurant, beef is the star of the menu. And, it is top quality and very good (although not cooked to the requested doneness on first attempt). However, it was the grilled avocado that exceeded my expectations. Cooked simply with a lemon it was sheer perfection. The potatoes in bacon reduction sauce was also a stand out I chose the tasting menu and they were willing to listen to my preferences in designing the menu for me Cocktails are another element that exceeded expectations."

"I 've dined here plenty of times, but this time I couldn 't dine in and had to order to-go. I tried calling about nine times and the phone kept being busy.... Are we in the 90 's??? No call waiting or second line?? Lol Anyway, I wasn 't able to order my food over the phone (I know I could 've ordered through a third party, but I wanted to order direct), so I sent my husband in to order. Turns out the lady employee was on a personal call, told the person on the phone I 'll call you back later very candidly. Took the order and called her friend again. Wow, holding up the phone line around dinner time for personal calls, sounds like they 're losing out on business. The Arroz con Mariscos was delicious and the alfajores satisfied my sweet tooth. The restaurant is always clean and not too loud. I will prefer to dine in next time to not worry about calling ahead to order."

"The food at this restaurant was incredibly salty! I was here with some friends for a nice event and we all had a great time catching up. Everyone had raved about the food here before, so I was excited to try it. I asked for my dish to be lightly salted and ordered a ceviche and a house salad with dressing on the side. The ceviche was extremely salty and had hard pieces of hominy scattered throughout, as well as Inka maize that was waterlogged from the liquid in the ceviche. It was an odd and inedible combination of flavors. The ingredients had no taste except for the overwhelming salt. There was even a clump of salt in one bite of the ceviche. I had to excuse myself to go to the bathroom to rinse out my mouth from the overpowering salt. The salad was made with iceberg lettuce (which was wilted) and the cilantro dressing was also ridiculously salty. Why drown everything in salt? Good food doesn't need to be so heavily seasoned. The plantains were cut into huge chunks instead of thin slices, which meant they lacked the rich, sweet taste that you get with smaller pieces. They also weren't as crispy on the outside as they could have been. Overall, our enjoyable event was ruined by the poor quality of the food. With such a beautiful restaurant setting, I had hoped for at least decent food. I hope that Pollo Inka works to improve their dishes in the future."

"Here it is, the best Peruvian restaurant in California! If you're looking for genuine, authentic Peruvian cuisine made with love, skip that trip to Lima and come here instead. The Lomo Saltado, Aji de Gallina, and Ceviche Mixto are prepared with true authenticity. Other restaurants may try to offer Peruvian dishes by blending in Mexican flavors and ingredients, or they might throw in some unnecessary gourmet tweaks. After spending over eight months in Peru, I can confidently say this is the only place that perfectly captures the essence of Lima's cooking! Our toddler enjoyed the food so much that he started dancing!"

"We visited Rio for the first time and had a wonderful experience. We really enjoyed our meal! We began with the combination plate, which turned out to be a bit too much for the two of us, so we decided to share it. While our steak wasn't cooked the way we requested, it was still delicious. Our server was also tending the bar, which contributed to a less-than-ideal service experience; we felt they didn't check on us often enough and our drinks were emptier than we would have liked. Despite these issues, I would definitely recommend this place and would be happy to return."
