"Any chance I get to indulge in authentic Peruvian food, I pounce. I'm in the area for work and knew I had to stop in for dinner. I am SO glad I did. Pukara is a small storefront in a small strip plaza. The hostess sat me quickly and my waitress was super friendly.I ordered Risotto a la Huancaina con Lomo Saltado and a mango pisco sour. The drink was perfectly crafted and my entree was INCREDIBLE. The steak was perfectly cooked (asked for medium) and the risotto was rich and creamy. I will DEFINITELY be back next time I'm in the area."

The food was ok. Portions are on the small side, especially considering the price.

Ceviche was not fresh extreme salt overpowering the lime juice. So spicy could not eat. The kids chicken cutlet was like a rubber looked like frozen chicken and deep fried terrible! View menu

Excellent Peruvian food!!! Everything we ordered from the tasty anticuchos, aji de gallina, papa a la Huancaina, carapulca to the causas, tacu lomo and ciupe de camarones was super delicious.

The Lomo Saltado was great; very tender meat, nice sauce, onions and tomatoes as is typical of this Peruvian dish. The milanesa de pollo was also very good; the chicken was flat, but still tender.

The risotto Pukara was the best dish. The causa pollo (chicken) one was way more overpriced, it costs $18 for one causa, but on the menu you can have trio(three) causas for $21.5. Overall a pleasant meal but won’t order the causa anymore.Food: 3/5 View menu

I love this restaurant. I am Peruvian and miss the food back home, but thankfully Pukara is very close to where I live. I come here at least once every two weeks and every dish I’ve had here is delicious! I recommend their Tacu Lomo, Tiradito en Salsa de Rocoto and Risotto a la Huancaína con Lomo Saltado, and their Passion Fruit Pisco Sour. Their lunch special is good too!

Been there since it opened and it was great both food an service, my wife ans i went there a day before father's day 2023. It was horroble, service was not evev one star, waiter kept forgetting items next table to us a lady had to get uo and pick up to get utencils. Did not know about the 18% gratuity, will not go back, embarcadero perubuan restaurant 2 miles away has great service and food.
