"Trying too hard, not authentic traditional Peruvian food, expensive. Overpriced. Extremely disappointing. Parts of the meal were inedible.Ceviche was not marinated long enough and had a creamy texture and taste which was off-putting. Not enough acid so the fish couldn't marinate properly either. Parts of the fish were hard and inedible, almost tendonous both my husband and I had to spit out pieces. Imagine spitting out inedible food at a white cloth restaurant! Anticuchos were tough, chewy, and dry. Chaufa de mariscos also had an off-putting creamy texture to it which does not make sense for a fried rice whatsoever. Seafood in the chaufa was underdone and unseasoned. I could not even eat this dish, my husband ate just the rice and avoided the seafood bc it was so bad. Aji de Gallina is supposed to be shredded chicken in a spicy creamy cheese sauce. What we were served was a pile of big chicken pieces covered in cheese. No spice, no flavor other than cheese.THE ONLY good part of this meal was the fried yucca and sauce, and of course the standard cancha which is served to the table. The most difficult part of this meal was getting the check and paying SO MUCH for this extremely disappointing meal. Being Peruvian and traveling extensively throughout the US and Europe, this was the most expensive meal at a Peruvian restaurant, not to mention the worst."

"This tiny restaurant is a pretty nice place to have a quick lunch while being in Elizabeth New Jersey. Especially for those who have to serve as jurors. The Court House is on tbe opposite corner of this restaurant, so if you dont like the food served in the cafeteria inside the building, I strongly recommend you to stop by this small restaurant. Prices are pretty good and you will get lots of food with a great Latin American flavour."

"my man saw this place on facebook and judged by the pictures he thought this place would be a great place to try for us. we drove from parkchester to try this place. the restaurant is beautiful so that a plus was the only case that there were many flying. we did lunch. my man had a drink of the bulldogge the corona was half full eating had no taste. all tasted as if it came from a dose, especially the mammals. I wanted suppe and they had no suppe anymore, which comes with the lunch so we had to go with the salat. the salate they gave was so tender that he was in the refrigerator for days. eating was terrible, I doubt very much that the person cooking in this kitchen is a chef or a chef. one of the waitresses was nice. that looked with the blond hair, as if it were frustrated. no customers should hear a waitress, huffing and puffing in the rule we take pictures of our eating, but the presentation of this plate was not great at all."

"We were late for our reservation, but Chuck's kindly held the table for us. Tableside Caesar salad was amazing. Our mains were bit of a wait, but before we could complain, our server apologized and they appeared shortly after. Amazing food and portions were well suited. Our steaks were perfectly done! Due to the small delay in our mains, manager sent over a sinful skor Sundae that although we were much too full for, we devoured. Excellent service and kudos to management for staying on top of service."

"30. May 2021 16:30 For the first time, Husband works on this side of the city and eats regularly here. The restaurant is very clean and the staff wears face masks for CoViD. We were shown to our table and received a basket of chips and salsa when we ordered our drinks. The menu is large, with many Peruvian/Latin inspired dishes. We decided to share the Papa Rellena con Polla, a potato puree filled with diced chicken and then deep fried $5). Absolutely delicious. Hot, crispy and not excessively fat. Will definitely order again. For the duck we chose Parrillada Latina, grilled steak, chicken, sausage, seasoned grilled vegetables, roasted Yuca, curtains, rice, salad for 2 $24). It was served sizzling hot on a cast iron skill. Beautiful presentation and lots of food for both of us. I recommend you try this."

"Today, my husband and I chose to have lunch at a Peruvian restaurant in Encinitas. While I'm trying to dine more in Carlsbad, sometimes I venture into neighboring cities. The restaurant is a charming spot with colorful walls and a beautifully painted ceiling. Our waitress clearly had South American roots. We ordered the Pescadora sandwich and the Pobre sandwich, both of which were incredibly fresh and flavorful, featuring roasted peppers, onions, cilantro, and a jicama-infused salad. Each sandwich comes with delicious homemade sweet potato fries. This is definitely a restaurant worth visiting!"

"We visited this restaurant based on a recommendation from a Peruvian friend, who considers it his favorite spot in the DMV area. Overall, we had a pleasant dining experience. The pisco sour was quite good, especially during happy hour when it’s only $7 instead of $12, although the portion is small (the liquor only fills about a quarter of the glass). The lomo saltado was excellent, and the classic ceviche was delicious, although it could use a bit more citrus flavor. The house salad was a generous portion. However, the calamari with three sauces was disappointing; it was overcooked and had a thick batter. Despite this, we plan to return, but we’ll be more cautious about our food choices next time."

"There are several reasons why I believe this is the best Pollo a la Brasa around, possibly even in all of America (I still need to investigate that further, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it came out on top). For starters, the restaurant employs a wood-fired oven, just like authentic Peruvian pollo a la brasa spots. This technique allows the smoky flavor to thoroughly infuse the chicken, enhancing its taste. The traditional spices used to season the chicken can be found not just on the skin but also deep in the meat. While the skin wasn’t as crunchy as I prefer, it was still packed with flavor. The fries, however, were a bit soggy, which seems common for many restaurants that focus more on the chicken and sometimes the salad. Pricing is similar to other eateries, falling in the $15-25 range, and the portion size is good for the price. The combination of authentic smoky flavor, flavorful marinade spices, and reasonable pricing makes this one of the finest Peruvian rotisserie chickens in America. I've seen some negative reviews regarding the wait staff and service time, but I didn’t experience any of those issues during my visit. I can’t comment on other dishes, as I only ordered the pollo a la brasa, but the incredible taste of this chicken suggests that the rest of the menu is likely worth exploring too. If you’re in town or live nearby and want to try Pollo a la Brasa, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a visit! As for parking, be aware that street parking options are limited."

"We enjoy every visit here, food is delicious, servers are always beyond expectations, today we were served by Amalia and Karla. My only comment is that they changed menu recently and some items like mac and cheese for kids is not available anymore, it was unique. Also, price are getting high in general."

"We are regulars at this place, but the prices have increased and the service have declined as I needed to ask for my server multiple times). I ordered an acevichado sushi roll and it did not taste good as they pour more of their homemade eel sauce than acevichado did not like it), my husband end up eating it. Other than that, it was late, there weren’t that many people; therefore it was not noisy. They rearranged the tables, having more booths, making it more private, that was nice."

"To make matters worse, they've had the audacity to misrepresent their lunch specials and hourly rates. I called the restaurant to verify a claim they made, and they provided me with completely different information over the phone. One day they claim they serve lunch at 4:00 a.m., and the next day it's at 2:00 p.m. I decided to take my food to go because I didn't want to eat there, especially after witnessing a server being rude to an older woman who just wanted to enjoy her lunch in peace. They seem to often double charge or sneak in extra fees on your bill, and if you question them about it, they become defensive or make excuses. I've seen this happen, so I know I'm not alone in feeling this way. My mother and I used to be regular customers and enjoyed our mother-daughter outings here, but they've completely ruined that for us. Given all of this, I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. If I could, I would give them zero stars. No thanks."

"I am a big fan of Peruvian cuisine and I have high standards when it comes to food. This restaurant has consistently maintained not only delicious flavors in their dishes but also exceptional customer service over the past year and a half. I have tried almost everything on the menu and have enjoyed every dish. The desserts are also delicious. I highly recommend trying the algarrobina, even without alcohol it was amazing. Whether you live in the area or are just visiting, I strongly suggest giving this place a try. They now offer delivery as well. I usually don't write reviews, but this place truly stands out. The food has always been great and the customer service is top-notch. Well done, Danny Pain, you have created a fantastic restaurant. I hope more people are able to experience it soon. God bless you!"

"I took my mother to the Two Sisters restaurant for her birthday last Sunday. We were immediately greeted and informed about the brunch options (i.e. buffet versus brunch specials and other adjustments, such as turkey bacon instead of pork). I think this is a great place for a relaxed brunch and definitely for a mother-daughter date. We loved the food and the service. We drove to a Groupon and will definitely drive again without the Groupon. Worth it."

"I visited this restaurant with a group of friends and was impressed by the delicious Spanish cuisine. The homestyle plate we shared was filled with yellow rice, broccoli, carrots, French fries, chicken, pork ribs, and beef rib tips, all cooked to perfection. The dipping sauces were flavorful and added an extra touch to the meal. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and will definitely be returning, as will many of my friends. A great dining option in the Forest Hill area of Newark/North Newark!"
