"Greek Cod was the name of the dish on the Specials list and it was a simple compilation of grilled red and green peppers, onions with a side of sliced grape tomatoes and slice black olives topped with feta cheese beside two grilled cod fillets in a light lemon/garlic sauce. It was wonderful! You just don't expect this type of fare from a restaurant masquerading as a pizzeria!! Our server, Kim, was attentive and efficient as always!!!"

"I am extremely happy with my experience at this restaurant. The Hot Oatmeal is perfectly creamy, just the way I prefer it. The Chicken Finger (Wrap or Panini) is tasty and the portion size is just right. They also take special instructions into consideration. While this place may be a bit more expensive than others nearby, the quality and taste make it worth the price. I will definitely be ordering from here again and again!"

"The food is excellent, and the service is outstanding; the staff is very accommodating! The diner is also handicapped accessible. I have been dining here for many years, usually visiting at least once a week, if not more. It's a fantastic value for your hard-earned money! I highly recommend Eastbay Diner! Parking: The parking lot is spacious, with designated handicapped spaces for easy access to the diner. Wheelchair accessibility: My husband used a wheelchair for many years, and this was a great place for us since access was smooth, and the owner and staff were incredibly accommodating. I can’t emphasize enough how kindly they treated my husband. While the exterior doors don’t open automatically, the staff were wonderful about holding the doors open for us, which is a big help for caregivers. "I really like this place. they didn't mess my order. service was smooth. Waiting time was fast. this is only bad when it is ordered by grubhub to have it delivered. However, they need more vegan options! no, but I love it. coffee was not bad at all. Eating is never burned. it is also very popular. Whenever I go and pick up my order, I am always satisfied how much people really enjoy it. the environment makes me feel like home ad! "DO NOT ORDER THE STEAK. I have never made a review in my life but this was DISGUSTING. I ordered a porterhouse steak that was supposed to be medium and 22 ounces. I only ordered medium bc I knew it might cook a little more in travel. I got a rock solid WELL DONE steak. I HAD TO BEG the manager to give me a replacement or a refund. The replacement came and the steak was RANCID. the stinkiest steak that was clearly bad. And none of the steaks were actually 22ounces. I didn’t even bother calling back. $40 DOWN THE DRAIN. disgusting. Never buying again. I was really looking forward to a good steak.Terrible service. The poor worker practically had to beg her manager to take the phone and take accountability. The lady just kept apologizing as if it was her fault."

"I was there yesterday and decided to have a dinner dish that was Chicken and Shrimp Franciase, as shown in the photo. I was here a few times and received proper service, but this last time was exceptional and fast. Delicious dish I highly recommend plus for a reasonable price I could not complain. Besides their dinner dishes, they also have incredibly fantastic breakfast especially the pancakes. We look forward to many more visits to this diner."

"The staff at this restaurant are incredibly friendly and attentive. I ordered the deluxe burger and was happy to discover that the fries were hot and extremely crispy. The two crispy onion rings added a nice touch. I thought the portion of lettuce and tomato slices was quite generous. The burger itself was decent – the meat was well-cooked and of good quality, and the cheese was nicely melted. My only complaint is that I would have liked the bun to be slightly toasted to keep it from becoming too soggy or falling apart. Overall, it’s a solid choice for diner food in the area."

"I encountered one of the rudest individuals I've ever met. Being in a hospital, I expected better customer service. I went in to grab a cup of coffee, and the man at the register was focused on trying to locate a missing check instead of acknowledging me. Fortunately, another gentleman at the counter did recognize me. However, while I was waiting, a man walked in, and suddenly, the first employee saw him and greeted him by name. He then left to fetch the usual for that customer, leaving me standing there. I eventually walked out. You’ve lost my business. There are plenty of other cafés and restaurants that truly understand the importance of customer service."

"They did not disappoint me. I ordered breakfast this morning. grilled chicken omelette with mushrooms, avocado and spinach. I asked to not include cheese and they did not add cheese which was great. I asked for ketchup with my home fries and they put it on the home fries instead of giving me packs of ketchup which is great because some restaurants just throw catch up packs in your bag which i dislike instead of putting it on your home fries. I ordered a side of grits they were not too stiff and not too soupy and the platter came with wheat toast. food was good. it was delivered with grubhub and i have no complaints!. this will be my go to diner when I want to order breakfast from home : oh the toast was not toasted too hard or too soft it was perfect!. excuse the quality of my camera lol."

"Only had a party of 5, but got charged 20% for a party of 6. Our waitress was rude and never brought our waters that we asked for multiple times, and gave my vegetarian friend a sandwich with bacon in it (and when she asked for it remade she made it with the wrong cheese but still charged for cheddar) and then didn’t come back to ask us how the food was. She also disappeared for a solid 30 minutes. Safe to say she could care less about her job. Guy at the front was nice but lied about the policy when we asked him why it said groups of 6+ on the menu will be charged gratuity and said it “hasn’t been updated to 5+ yet” which was clearly a cover up for the waitress."

"First time here and really enjoyed ourselves! Buffalo wings were DAM GOOD!!!! Waffle was good too not overpowering with toppings and strawberries were FRESH! Caesar salad was large but very fresh and tasty! Everything was fresh. Waiters were very friendlyand helpful. We kind of stumbled into the lady who served us because the first waiter may not have wanted to. It worked outbecause our waiter was good and very attentive. Lastly I was not paying attention when paying my bill by card and intended onleaving a 10.00 tip but it totaled 16. The employee who rang us up immediately came into the parking lot searching for us. Notknowing why she was outside I honked and yes she wanted to alert me that I left a larger tip than I may have thought. I askedthe lady to leave it alone and give the waiter the entire tip. I truly appreciate the honesty and professionalism beyond wordsand would definitely recommend this place for good food and honest service!"

"Our waitress Storm, was very attentive to our dining needs. We did not need reservations and was waited on immediately, upon arrival on New Year’s Eve. The food was served hot and she made sure our tea and coffee glass/cup was refilled without us asking her. The food was seasoned well and tasty, especially the vegetables and soup. The French fries was fried well done, or crispy. My husband and friend enjoyed dining at the Empire Diner and will go back to dine there again without reservation. "Well, I don't know about the other items on the menu. However, I ordered the chicken masala with garlic mashed potatoes and spinach. The chicken masala was some sort of rubbery meat swimming in a pint of oil(lard? , NOT SAUCE OR GRAVY. The spinach was entirely a bunch of spinach strings(no leafs . The reheated potatoes were not much better with large chunks left unmashed. Clearly, the cook did not do a good job. $25.00 plus tip in the garbage. One last observation: While waiting, I saw 3 or 4 people send their food back for one reason or another."

"Really didn't know what to expect here at Hellas. Had not heard anything bad; thought it was more Greek orientated than it was. The food was good and plentiful. Reminded me of restaurants in the past where the emphasis is on the food, not the dining room decor. What is weird though, is that you do not know what the price is of the meal until you get the bill. Prices are on the menu, but signs are up on the wall explaining that all prices are wrong, that have risen, but no literature will not tell you by how much. So, my chicken salad went from $9.50 to $12....and an additional $2 per person at table was charged on the bill also. (So my meal was $14...although no where else on the menu or the wall signs told us the equation that would get us to $14. Just rather strange. French fries are great; they must have a thin batter on them before being fried. We'll probably be back; it is only open for breakfast and lunch. It's also right on the way to the Columbus Zoo too. Even with their bizarre attempt to raise their prices, it's probably a lot cheaper than the zoo food."

"I came with a group of four people. We were seated immediately. Attractive diner. Three of us had eaten at this diner multiple times in the past. Few patrons in the diner at the time we were seated. A waiter stated I 'll be right with you then never returned. Twenty minutes had elapsed and we did not even get placemats and flatware. I grabbed some from another table. Another waiter eventually came by. This person was training someone else. Both were very pleasant. We placed our order. Another 40 minutes passed. We ordered what was described on the menu as thick pork chops. Thin chops arrived. Both the wait staff and manager informed us that 's the only kind of chops in the restaurant. Seemed like false advertising and perhaps a fallout from the pandemic and inflation. The chops were tough and not juicy like the previous thick chops we used to get here. I was very hungry and ate my food anyway. My companion had cold side dishes that were supposed to be served hot such as a baked potato. The manager was polite and patient. No one gave any explanation for the long wait nor the thin chops when they were supposed to be thick nor the poor service nor the improperly cooked or served food. Sadly, we will not return."
