"I absolutely loved my food! I've seen this restaurant many times as it is in the same shopping center as my normal Smiths grocery story. It's tucked away and looks small from the outside, but inside was quite spacious and we were very happy with our meal! We made a reservation for 6 people on a Saturday at 5 pm for my sister's birthday dinner. It didn't seem too busy when we went in. Anytime it's my whole family like that I get a little worried about how servers will handle us because my grandma and mom can be a hoot sometimes (in other words, they can be a lot lol). I can't remember our server's name, but he was great and very nice! Our busser was also so helpful! He brought our drinks, brought our bread, answered questions, really nice guy. The restaurant ambiance was nice, almost intimate. It's really dark in there, though. My mom had to turn the flashlight on her phone to see the menu lol The interior is decorated with large western posters, hence the name of the restaurant. Service was very friendly and very fast! The food was great! You get bread with oil and vinegar at the table. The bread was so warm and soft, and it was interesting having the oil and vinegar separate rather than mixed together. We started with the bruschetta, which was four pieces that were big enough to cut in half for everyone to enjoy. It was piled high with bruschetta and was really tangy and super tasty! We all got different things, but I'm going to focus on the foods that I tried. My husband ordered the cajun pasta, which was a special for the night. It had really large shrimp and a very nice flavor. I was debating between the carbonara and the bobbi, so my sister got the carbonara. I tried hers, and I will definitely be getting it next time! I feel like carbonara can be hit or miss with flavor, and this one was great. Nice and creamy, and the portion was quite big. I got the bobbi with penne and it was sooooo good! It was a vodka sauce with specked prosciutto and sun dried tomatoes. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the prosciutto was cooked! I like prosciutto normally, but cooking it gave it a really smoky taste without it being limp. I absolutely loved it! Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well. Most of us spent under $20 for our large portions (pasta and pizza). The special my husband got and the chicken dish my brother in law got were between $20 and $30. Overall, I thought it was a nice place with really yummy food in large portions! Anxiety induced questions I had before arriving that may help you: 1. How fancy is this place? You can definitely wear whatever. Because it said fine italian dining, I was worried we would have to dress up. After looking at some review photos of the inside, I could see everyone was really casual. As far as price, I think it's very reasonable for the portions you are getting. 2. Should I make a reservation? For large parties, yes. If it's just a handful of you, then you should be fine. The place wasn't packed or anything when we went at 5pm on a Saturday. 3. Can I look at the menu ahead of time? Food and normal drinks menu, yes. They do have a cocktail menu that is not available online, so if you are the type that needs ample time to look before making a decision, cocktails and alcohol are the only things not mentioned online. 4. Will they split checks? We only needed ours split 2 ways, but they do split checks. Just don't make it anything crazy or complicated, and they will be very nice about it."

"The dining area was cramped and uninviting, with a life-size plastic Santa overlooking the tables. The holiday decorations, consisting of Christmas lights haphazardly attached to the garden grate, felt more like a mobile home's decor than anything festive. The few booths available were tiny, barely accommodating two people comfortably. We ended up at a long table that was awkwardly pushed together. There were no table settings; we were expected to know where to find the stack of plates and cutlery in the corner. It felt like we were playing a game of "I Spy," with little guidance from the staff. As our party arrived, we were subjected to strange rules—apparently, we weren’t allowed to speak above a whisper. The atmosphere reminded me of a Seinfeld episode with the Soup Nazi, where I half-expected the owner to shout, "No food for you!" When the food finally came, it was served with a curt "Who else wants this kind?" Instead of a warm dining experience, we were left wondering if we even had permission to eat. I had hoped that the food would make up for the terrible service, but I was disappointed. The pizza looked like a hastily assembled mishmash of toppings on bread, with a taste that reminded me of mediocre fast food chains. No one checked in on us during our meal, and we saw several guests trying the stuffed mushrooms, only for them to be spit out. When the bill arrived, there was no offer of dessert. Instead, the owner watched us closely, as if he expected us to steal the pepper flakes. Requests for additional items, like forks or straws, were met with an unfriendly demeanor. The night ended with him rushing us out, having already made it clear he wanted us gone. This experience was my first—and last—visit to this establishment. Someone had mentioned their behavior was typical of "Italians," but that doesn't excuse poor service. A general rule of thumb is that when the food is lacking, excellent service is a must. If they didn’t want to accommodate a large party, they should have declined our reservation. I suspect a gratuity was included in our bill, which was fortunate for the owner, as none of us would have tipped otherwise. If you're looking for decent Italian food, I can assure you that this is not the place to find it."

"Southtown Pizza is dynamite making GREAT traditional pizza specialty cake, the dough is always evenly cooked only excellent and as any pizza crust should be. These little peperoni nodes are amazing when we visit friends family from the city, we basically always order pizza knots from Southdown in the words of my NY transplant family members this is how pizza should taste, oh my God (what they 've down in Texas isn't cuttin 'it for them, lol). This is one of my favorite locations, and it is easy to take the #1 for out of town (I have more than 1 friend who specifically asks for the special pepperoni node space when they visit I love how something as small is as pleasant as that). They are also very cheap, especially for Huntington, Lol. I like to mix it, sometimes or try new flavor combinations, so I'm a big fan on the 12 mini pizza it's the perfect size for 2 people to share, and if you're trying a toppings combo you 're on the fence around, it's ideal! They are also super cool about special requests, and, they are the hands down, with the delivery of every restaurant in Huntington, pizza or other. Honestly, since Kovid, a lot of delivery orders from many other restaurants have been missing items for ever, or just the wrong orders, and we all know that suck when it happens. But Southdown is on the ball my husband I both work very long hours, and take regular, and I have never stressed double review of Southdown orders because they are organized and consistent at the top of being pizza master. I know the stuff we've ordered is what's in the bag before I open it, which is actually exactly what on these crazy long days, where you just want to go home and eat dinner and don't have to think about it. I saw another recent review of the crust not to be great, and not just I agree, I just think that for a small, independent company that knocks it out of the park 99,99% of the time, they deserve better, we should celebrate small businesses that are our city to the place that it is, and Southdown is one of them. Short (LOL): Great pizza, definitely try it some nodes, you will not be disappointed."
