"I was waiting in line with just two people in front of me when someone cut in. The employee served the line jumper first, which was really rude! The pizza isn’t worth the inconvenience. I spoke with the owner about the situation, but he didn’t seem very concerned about his rude staff member. He mentioned he would address it, but I doubt he will follow through. You can’t really teach someone basic manners. Additionally, the pizza used to be good, but it seems like they’ve changed the recipe because it’s no longer enjoyable. In fact I read some reviewers complain that there was too much sauce and cheese which is a bizarre comment. The pizza is just OK. This is a younger generation pizza. Similar to what subway is to the sandwich. Place is very well decorated, service was quick and friendly. However, cheap napkins make eating here a chore. Not bad, but not for me."

"I've really missed dining at Mama's Pizza. Our family has been going to the location on Magee Rd since the 1990s, and it was always our go-to pizza spot. "I have been eating at Mama's for 35+ years and have loved so many experiences there. When our kids were younger they loved sitting around the colorful fountain and playing the arcade games. The food and service were always friendly and family oriented. I even had my husband bring a deluxe sub to the hospital after our daughters were born. About a decade ago we noticed a decline in quality and customer service at this store, which is our neighborhood shop. After years of not ordering from here, we decided to give it another try a few weeks ago. We ordered a large pizza and a family size salad. The pizza was so-so, sauce was not adequate and toppings were minimal. The salad had a lot of slimy pieces in it, so we decided to return it to the store, especially since the price tag is $24.95. When we arrived, Jay was working the counter. To say he was not amused we were returning the food would be an understatement. We asked for a refund for the salad and he told us the store policy was only $15 would be allowed for returns. After letting him know that this was not acceptable, that we would talk to the manager the next day for clarification. As we were leaving he yelled at us across the store, not going to repeat what he said, but it is no wonder there were no guests sitting in the restaurant. It used to be full on a Friday night. This was three weeks ago. I have spoken to Dominic and Freddie several times with the promise of some response from management, but nothing. Called Liz at the Speedway store only to be told they no longer managed that location. It is too bad that once amazing restaurants end in such decline due to bad management. "Oh my word. Totally memorable evening. Family dine in. Witnessed stuff I could not let go. They ran out of nearly everything. All customers were in disbelief. They sent employees to Frys for more stuff...sauce, dressings, even pizza dough. A new employee quit on the spot. We felt bad and questioned....none of the young employees have been getting paid!!! Some for MONTHS!!! Luckily my family started kicking out $20's and giving to these poor kids that were working so hard for NOTHING. Myself and some other good men confronted the manager who lied about paying then tried to push Blame on the owners etc. THIS CANNOT GO ON! This guy won't learn it's not his fault according to him but the employees need to go elsewhere to not work for free for this BS. They made us a good pizza with what they had I am so proud of them but management and ownership of this location should be put down for knowing and willing incompetence and exploitation of employees.Personally I am not finished with this.The stars are for the kids working so hard.Original owners would be sickened and disappointed."

"What a gem! Definitely great for dinner! The service was fantastic and friendly! It wasn't very crowded and it was nice to be able to have a quieter date night where we could sit and talk awhile without having to shout over the typical restaurant noise. The food was tasty. For prices we would have spent the same if we had gone to cafe eccell, napa flats, or amico nave. So not overpriced. It was $50 for two entrees and two delicious, gigantic glasses of wine. They have gluten free options. The gf pizza was good. They didn't have gf pasta while I was there but they typically carry it. We will definitely be back!"

"I believe this is a relative of one of the battalion chiefs I work with. My coworker and I decided to visit this bakery to investigate their selection. Because we were going shopping we could not buy refrigerated goods but the cookies we bought were fantastic. I highly suggest the amaretto cookies with marzipan in the middle, the chocolate chip cookies and the lemon drop cookies. The pasta was watery and burned my mouth when we sat for dine in, and it was literally cut up chicken and marinara sauce with cheese on the top. "I ordered half BBQ and half teriyaki wings with dipping sauces. The DoorDash driver had to wait quite a while, as they said the wings were being made fresh, even though the restaurant is only five miles away. When my order arrived, I found that the hot wings were cold and drenched in hot Tabasco sauce, and I only received one ranch dip. The teriyaki wings were also cold, barely cooked, and had so little sauce that I couldn't even identify the flavor. The spaghetti had sauce on top, but nothing underneath, so I ended up with just a few forkfuls of plain pasta. The garlic bread was decent, but I really wished I had spaghetti with more sauce to pair with it. The cheesecake was okay, but overall my experience was underwhelming. I enjoy trying new places, but I won’t be ordering from here again. Sorry!"
