"Now, which one should I choose: Shipley Do-Nuts or Starbucks? I realized I didn’t just want coffee; I wanted some food too. So, I decided to stop at Shipley Do-Nuts. The store was clean and had a delightful aroma. The display of donuts was incredibly tempting. Mmm... should I get one of each? My stomach said no. Instead, I opted for an oven-baked cinnamon roll, a crumble donut, and a traditional glazed donut, along with a large cup of coffee.
The coffee was excellent—no need for cream or sugar. It was freshly brewed and served at the perfect temperature. That’s a significant difference between Starbucks and other places, as they often serve their coffee too hot, making it almost impossible to drink. Although I intended to sip my coffee while driving, my stomach had other ideas, so I decided to sit by the window and watch the world go by.
I have to mention that the oven-baked cinnamon roll reminded me of hula bread back in Hawaii. Oh my goodness, I really wanted another one! I was unsure when I’d be back in this area. Unfortunately, they were sold out. But I will definitely return!"
