"My older sister and I ate at the one that is permanently closed years ago. My sister chose the place as I have not heard of it. Both her and I were very impressed. And we had both eaten at five star restaurants around the country and grew up on finerdining in NYC. For me it truly was a pleasant surprise. We ordered then took our turns going to the salad bar. When my sistercame back she told me excitedly that we would most likely not be eating what we ordered as the salad and soup bar was thatextensive. I didn?t believe her until I saw the selection of breads and soups and salad items. We both made a meal out of thesoup and salad and got our entries to go. Everything was so fresh and delicious. I loved the many choices of bread for thesoups. Our main meals were some of the best food we have had on the west coast. I am glad I got to share that meal with my older sister."

"I placed a takeout order today at 11:00 for a quiche, salad, and fresh fruit. Unfortunately, the quiche was completely burnt on top, and the ham and cheese seemed like an afterthought, just sitting on the surface instead of being incorporated into the egg mixture. It tasted terrible, with a burnt flavor permeating the eggs. The cornbread was dry, reminiscent of yesterday's leftovers, and my salad came with croutons, even though the staff confirmed it would be without croutons when I picked up my order. While I could easily remove them, it’s disappointing to see such a lack of care in delivering a properly prepared meal. I paid $15 for this and even tipped $1 for the packing, but my lunch was quite disappointing. I doubt they would have served that slice of quiche if I had been eating in the restaurant!"

"My mom and I came on a Wednesday because she likes the older crowd and the buy one entree and two drinks, get a free entree coupons she gets via email. We've gone several times for lunch and I have been pleasantly surprised by the food. Honestly, I had low expectations but the food is pretty decent. My favorite is the shrimp tacos, healthy and tasty. This last time my mom got the roast beef dip sandwich, but she usually gets the roasted turkey plate. Also, on our last visit they were short-staffed so there was a little bit of a wait, but the waitress was calm, cool, and collected and I appreciated her responsiveness considering the circumstances. I am not a huge fan of sweets, but next time I will grab a pie or cornbread because the display case looked like it had some great tasting stuff."

"Came in to have dinner and the hostess, at least I think she was the hostess, was waiting on a customer at the register. The customer left and the hostess continued to complete something. After a couple of minutes she finally asked if we were dining inor getting something to go. We said dining in and she said she would be with us in a few. We waiting for a good 5 to 10 minutesmore, two more people enter, a couple of waitresses passed by and we are all still waiting for the hostess to conclude herpaperwork. We finally decided to leave because apparently what ever needed to be completed at the register was much moreimportant then the customers waiting at the podium."

"I have always been turned off by the idea of coming here, because of the location only. However tonight I found myself tired of the same old same old and wanted to try literally anything different and not spend an arm and a leg. Still turned off by the idea I stepped inside and was firstly wowed!! Was sat down and got drinks in a timely manner. Katie was awesome! She didn’t bother me much and got everything right. The menu had lots of variety. I ordered 2 appetizers and 2 meals and was charged a fair amount. I received lots of good food and service. I truly regret judging this book by its cover. I am very satisfied!! 10/10 recommend!!"

"I'm glad to see all the new brunch spots popping up left and right around the city, but lets face it folks— classic diners serve the best breakfast around. The Frog is hands down the best diner in Oklahoma City. Now a lot of you won't remember, but the area around 10th and Pennsylvania used to be hoppin (no frog pun intended).  I remember so many Saturdays heading down to breakfast at the Frog, shopping at AMC, and grabbing a bottle over at Linwood Package Store.  Times were good. When I moved back to Oklahoma City a few years back, I was thrilled to find the Frog's doors still open with Jack still manning the grill.  And yes, the food is as good as ever. I won't go too in depth about the menu, since it is your basic diner dishes; however, there are two things you gotta know.  When I grade a diner's breakfast, I base the grade on how good the sausage is and how good the hash browns are.  The Frog capitalizes on both. What else do you need to know? Go give a classic Oklahoma City diner some business, and enjoy some hot coffee and delicious grub at the Frog. (Stuck on ordering? I'd go with the sausage and cheese omelette or the french toast— or hell, get both)"

"A seafood restaurant between sea grove and robbins. We were directed here by locals when we asked about gluten free options. It is what you should expect out of a seafood restaurant in the middle of the country. Not great but not bad. I thought it was just a American style country restaurant until I was corrected by one of the staff after asking how the BBQ was thinking country restaurant in NC piedmont . Only then did I notice the wooden pelican on a shelf and the blue marlin wall art They did have gluten free food and we were hungry so it fit out first two priorities. Staff was nice but very busy with only 5 tables occupied ? . I had stuffed flounder when in Rome.... my girlfriend had a vegetable plate. She liked hers mine was fine when adjusting expectations for where we were. So, if you find yourself between sea grove and robbins on 705, you won't go wrong here."

"four of us from the city, met at the last weekend at the whistle stop to visit and eat. they were so busy, we had to wait one, but not too long. the waitress was very friendly and helpful. one in our party had the seafood plate and loved it all. especially he loved the fried green tomats he ordered for a starter. the remaining 3 of us had cats and it was good. I'd eat here again and probably try a burger or the pork chops."

"I had an amazing first visit to this restaurant and it won't be my last! The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, with a very friendly staff. It's perfect for families, individuals, and especially great for dinner after a day at the beach. The Lobster Bisque was outstanding and I can't stop thinking about it. The fresh local oysters were delicious and the menu offers a variety of specialties, including fresh fish. I discovered a new favorite dish, Neptunes Nest, which includes scallops, mussels, shrimp, and a whole lobster tail in a garlic cream sauce, served in a delightful bread dish. There are also tempting cake options for dessert, but the generous portions make it hard to leave room. I will definitely be returning soon!"

"General Manager, Todd at the Knox Abbot location refused to replace, refund the vegetable soup that I ordered and received. When I got home to serve to my Mom, Barbara Koosa, it had the packaged crackers and receipt inside of the soup. I called and spokewith James the Assistant Manager before I made the trip back which was about ten miles. James was friendly and helpful, althoughdistraught that his trusted employees would do such a thing; which is understandable. Nonetheless, I had the impression thathe would replace the soup without question. I worked in food and beverage for many years, as has my family and that is alwaysthe cardinal rule. The total price was just under ten dollars so the money was NOT the issue. Todd made it clear he did notbelieve me and when I got there he said this isn 't Walmart and refused to replace the soup, called the police on me for raisingmy voice so I left with my broken and ruined food and they kept the money in spite of. Literally, the worst restrauntexperience I 've ever had in my 56 years."

"I lived in town for a year before finally trying out this restaurant, and I regret waiting so long. The staff was extremely friendly, not just polite. The menu is somewhat limited, but everything we ordered was delicious and well-prepared. We decided to return with a large group for their Saturday brunch, and we were not disappointed. They brought out complimentary homemade doughnuts to each table, which were delicious. Our group had a diverse mix of ages and tastes, and everyone left happy. I highly recommend this restaurant."

"Some of the best food I've had in town. Don't let the parking or threat of crowds scare you away from this fantastic spot. The staff are really nice and it's got a welcoming atmosphere. It was a little loud but that's probably got more to do with being a Friday night before football game in Tuscaloosa. The chorizo beef blend cooked medium melted in my mouth, and even my really picky friend liked his burger."

"My daughter call me to ask if I wanted go and have some nice breakfast with her,, of cause i said yes.. didn 't feel like making my own,, so she found this restaurant she lk up downtown around 14th street to go have nice breakfast. ! let me tell you, this restaurant has the most delicious breakfast I have tasted, everything was freshly made, I had a bowl of grits that was so cheesy it made me wanted to slap my self. The patty sausage, eggs, toast, and hot butter biscuits with a hot cup of to start my day. Was so Delicious! My had fry cat fish with grits, eggs and toast! the service staff was excellent, no long wait to be served! When ever I don 't feel like making breakfast, I will my daughter and we will go have some breakfast there again! So went ever you 're in the downtown area and iking for a nice place to have nice breakfast, lunch, or just chill and have cup of coffee! This is the place to go! And they has parking! That 's a plus! check them out!"
