"This is our first time visiting. Usually we try to avoid Roanoke due to the massive crowds and lack of parking. But, after finding this place, I really don 't think I care about that! First off, we found out that kids eat free here on sunday. Hugebonus! We dined here to celebrate my mother 's 70th birthday with a nice lunch. The wine was a Pinot Grigio from italy, verydecently priced. It was not a knockout, yet it was not generically sweet and went very well with the food. All of the entreeswere decently priced. The salmon entree was incredible, and the chicken Arrabiata had just enough spice. They have create yourown pizza and pasta. My wife chose to create her own pizza which was filled with very good pesto sauce, and the thin crust wasvery delicious. Had cannolo Siciliano for dessert. This most certainly was homemade, not out of a box, and extremely delicious!A very nice touch, dessert was complimentary. Honestly, I think the kids eat free options for Sunday will keep us coming backhere particularly on Sundays, as it is a nice touch although really not just down the street for a casual lunch ...it 's a goodsolid 30 minutes from Fossil Creek with no traffic. I would like the wine list to be a little broader especially with regard towhite wines. They had some pretty good red wines for us winos, but it is definitely a Kendall Jackson heavy list includingKendall Jackson 's Italian label (Tenuta Arceno) but Arceno is very well made."

"I gave this a try because it was late at night and offered the kind of food I was craving. However, I was really disappointed with my experience. Some warnings for anyone considering going to Wings Bowls: The parking is abysmal. I'd say it's actually a hazard to attempt to park here. The interior of the building is dirty, the faucets don't work. If you can't wash your hands, neither can the staff. Staff is unexperienced and undertrained. I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 because it's understandable that most businesses are having a tough time hiring. But I think an understaffed kitchen with experienced people is better than a full and bustling kitchen that doesn't know what they're doing. None of the food looks like in the photos. Do NOT trust these photos in the reviews. Maybe things have changed in the past few months, but the reviews I read do not represent the experience I had. I had ordered takeout through Grubhub. I was waiting to speak to someone to pick up my order but no one talked to me. My estimated time was 40 minutes, but I had arrived 10 minutes early, and had no updates in the app telling me that my food was ready or to come earlier. Even though I was earlier than the ETA, I could see a bag of food sitting on the counter. I wondered if it could be mine, but I didn't think so because the status in the app was not updated and it said it was still being prepared. Well, it was mine, and I had to wait 10 minutes before staff talked to me to see who it belonged to. By the time I picked it up it was cold. What's worse is that even if the food was fresh and still warm, it wouldn't have helped. I had ordered 4 items and could confirm all the items on the receipt and on the bag of the food, but half my items were missing. I didn't notice though until I had gotten home, so I couldn't do anything about it except call to ask Grubhub for a refund (which they thankfully gave me). I don't have much advice for the owner to improve this experience except to start from scratch. What you have going isn't going in the right direction to achieve something better than my 2/5 star rating and I won't be giving this a second chance."
