"I've experienced plenty of authentic Cajun boils as well as the popular Vietnamese-style boils in Southern California. FOB offers a similar experience, but unlike SoCal, they incorporate more garlic and a slightly sweet citrus and tomato flavor in their Cajun sauce. We ordered a boiled platter with head-on shrimp and live crawfish, accompanied by corn and sausage. The platter remained hot throughout our meal, and the shrimp were tasty. However, the crawfish were on the smaller side, and some were dead when cooked, which affected the taste and color of the meat. Unfortunately, the corn was overcooked, as if it had been double-cooked, and lacked flavor, even though it was served in the sauce. The only sausage option was kielbasa, which tasted similar to a gourmet hot dog. We would have preferred something more authentic and flavorful, like hot links or andouille sausage. Overall, this place is a decent choice if you're looking for a hot and spicy seafood boil without having to travel to LA, Orange County, or the Bay Area."
