"Heather was our primary waitress. She was cheerful, pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. She was accompanied by a waiter in training. A BIG job. Other wait staff was woeful. Drinks arrived without cocktail napkins, Bread ruddly dropped onto the table without a word and without plates (and butter still too cold to slice) after our appetizer plates had been removed. The waiter in training addressed us as Hey, Okay, GUYS. This was hilarious because we were obviously grandmothers. Dinner plates were plopped down and shoved in front of us by an unengaged kitchen staff woman. And I have sat at more comfortable picnic tables."

"This restaurant is owned and operated by Alterra, the parent company of Steamboat Resort. They also run Four Points/Rendezvous lodges and Routties BBQ, all of which serve mediocre food in small portions at high prices and pay their staff poorly. Expect to pay a premium for low-quality food that likely came from a Sysco truck. The employees here do not seem to care about customer satisfaction or making special orders. The prices are outrageous, such as $9 for a dry pretzel or $10 for a draft domestic light beer. The lack of value for the high cost is disappointing. I regret paying $19 for my child's small and cold burger. After waiting months to write this review, I am still upset about the unacceptable prices and poor quality. I will not be returning to any of the resort-owned properties. It is a lose-lose situation for both customers and employees."

"We tried this restaurant at my sons recommendation due to the article in the new times. We had a 7 PM reservation and our waitress was lovely. However, she was completely overworked and seem to be the only waitress on the entire floor for the entire restaurant running all over the place. My son had the chef tasting and we had individual dishes my husband and I. The food was great but the waiting has to be addressed, you can't pay that amount of money for food these days with that type of lock and service."

"My girl friend and I were looking for a romantic destination, and hadn't booked out ahead, so we were limited in our options. The reviews looked positive. But, it was essentially an old bar with tables and booths, high ceilings and bright ceiling lights. The food was really good, and although our soup came out cold, they reheated it. If you want any ambiance, try somewhere else. If you want good relatively inexpensive food and don't mind sitting in view of the bar and TVs, give it a shot."

"For our first time there, I would rate the food a 4.5/5 and the staff would be a 3/5. From the moment we walked in, I felt like we were unwelcome guests despite making a reservation for 6 ahead of time with ample warning that we would have kids at the table too. One of the waiters immediately asked my sister to take away her Arizona iced tea can that she brought in for an unspecified reason. When asked for a small cup for a child, they tried their best to accommodate with a small glass and tiny straws. My only other complaint was that they asked if we wanted garlic bread for the table and we said yes. We didn’t get it until I asked for it 3 times. But then when we received it (at the end of our meal), we got charged three times for it despite only receiving one order. They fixed that part but we honestly could not tell if the waiter was annoyed by us or his staff with the way he acted when we asked for a correction. I was not surprised that they added gratuity automatically, but wished they would’ve given us the option to make it 18% instead of forced 20% considering everything. Overall, the food was pretty excellent, but some of the staff would seriously benefit from re-training on how to talk to customers. Honestly, the most polite and respectful staff were only the bussers and the ones coming to fill our waters."

"Amazing salsa !! Great service and a fun environment !!! But they need better cooks with more than one style of cooking who know how NOT to overcook all the meat they offer. ALL dishes taste very similar! All with burnt burn marks on "whatever" meat, mixed with similar spices and all well done to finish cooking. The burned cremation, like a fajitas, but for every dish? This is the second time that I had to come here with the same results ... I refuse the next time I am invited ... Maybe have a drink because the mood is good and fun ... she just need better cooks ..."

"I just want to make it clear that the service was great at our table, but on the way out I asked a shuttle to a hostess called Tatiana. She said, “Okay, I’ll order you one,” she grabs a menu and sits a party of four and didn’t ask our shuttle. I asked her if she already ordered our shuttle when she comes back from seating at this table and she “No, I’ll order him”. She then sits two other parties, so I asked her a third time if she can order the shuttle for us or if there is a phone number that I can call to order it myself. The sun is set equal. It really gets cold. My date doesn't wear a jacket and she's sitting on the bench. We had a great time in Nelsons, but it was overshadowed by this hostess who refused to acknowledge me. And I'm not sure if this is because I'm a person of color and everyone else didn't. What I know is I asked for a manager, and after hearing that I asked for a manager who overrun it to the iPad and was asked for a shuttle when the manager came and she asked that she said I already ordered it. I just don't understand why someone thinks it's OK to treat someone like that. I deserve to be recognized. And I was before the line. Not sure we're coming back."

"I was somewhat skeptical having read several mixed and less favorable reviews. However, we enjoyed a very lovely dinner with magnificent views overlooking the tall pines and Lake Tahoe. I ordered the pork chop and asked it to be blackened (Cajun style if possible). Although the pork chop wasn’t fully blackened (Cajun style) it was very tasty and quite good. My wife ordered the halibut she said it was good but nothing special. We ordered the flourless chocolate torte for dessert and it was excellent. Our server was very helpful, friendly and attentive. We look forward to returning the next time we visit Lake Tahoe."

"The first time here for lunch and it was nice. The food was good. We got the crab pull. Was good, just needed a little more crabs, but taste was good, and it was creamy, not fishy. I ordered the shrimp salad. Again the taste was good, not excessive in Mayo, but the shrimps were little. Would be perfect if it only changed to larger shrimps, but still was very tasty. The sweet potato fries Coleslaw were delicious! My son ordered the Baltimore Wrap he and my mother really liked. My mother ordered 2 oranges and they really enjoyed them, and I ordered a blue Hawaiian. It was good, but didn't see the picture on her menu. Only real complaint is their website and Facebook page both say Happy Hour is from 12-6, but when we arrived, the waitress said it was changed to 2:00 so that they should really update their social media. Also, some music would suggest there were some people inside, but was somehow calm, definitely need some music playing overhead. We played a song on the jukebox on the wall, but it was so low, we could hardly hear it. Overall, very nice atmosphere, right on the water, nice staff and food and drinks were all delicious. We will return when the weather cools and next time sit on the deck."

"We didn't realize that they only offered a fixed menu at night when we made our reservation. As a result, we felt we had no choice but to pay the $80 per person. For that price, I don’t think it was worth it. Additionally, the waiter asked if we wanted some garlic bread, which we assumed would be complimentary, but it ended up costing us an extra $5. This was our first visit to La Locanda since their move to South Scottsdale, and it will likely be our last. The food was okay to good, but definitely not exceptional."

"We had a great experience at this restaurant. I made a reservation and they followed my request exactly. I got a really nice seat and it was a very quiet environment. I had a great view of the Tappan seabridge. The food was very good and the service was very attentive and timely. The drinks were really good too ."

"The location and view were outstanding, the server was really attentive. The food though was really average. I ordered the steak frittes the beef was overcooked and when I told the waiter and showed him, he asked me to cut a piece from the middle, not wanting to get into an argument and ruin the occasion I told him it was fine. They gave us a complimentary amazing lava cake that made up for everything. We ended up having a good time but not sure we will be back"

"Finn Porter is a hidden gem on 10th street in downtown DC, and it is one of my favorite seafood restaurants in the city, especially for their gourmet sushi. While it may be pricier than smaller sushi spots, their menu also includes steaks, sandwiches, meats, and seafood dishes. I highly recommend starting with the Mediterranean platter, which comes with roasted red peppers, hummus, and olives – it's perfect for sharing and is beautifully presented with warm pita bread. The sushi selection is fantastic, with fresh fish and a variety of options including tofu pockets and sashimi. The main dishes, such as the ahi tuna and scallops, are on the pricier side but definitely worth it. The side dishes are large and perfect for sharing. Keep in mind that the service can be a bit slow, so plan for a leisurely dining experience. And be sure to save room for dessert – the pumpkin cheesecake is a must-try! Please note that some items on the menu may be seasonal."

"We went for Thanksgiving dinner and had a 3pm rez. We did not know it was the last reservation. There was very little in the chafing dishes when we went to the buffet. The buffet had picked over, and old food. No one was at the carving station so we carved our own turkey and beef. There were many empty tables and our table of 4 were seated at the worst location. The experience was laughable, just like so many other Thanksgiving dinner stories gone wrong."

"During our visit to this restaurant, which was recommended by friends in town, we were thoroughly impressed. The appetizers and main courses were outstanding, and the desserts were exceptional. The drinks were also delicious. The service was top-notch. We particularly enjoyed the elk tenderloin recommended to us for dinner. Overall, we would give a perfect 5 out of 5 rating for the food, service, and atmosphere."

"Wow! I love it when I stumble upon a place like Playmaker's! Bummed I never went before now! The staff working (Tyler and Amy) couldn't have been more friendly and yet efficient. Well done! The wedge salad was a good sized portion and very fresh tasting. The Tournament Turkey Melt AND fries are soooo yummy! Highly recommend both. They have quite a few specials for the weekdays and a Happy Hour M-F from 2-5pm that look awesome! They also give 10% back to the Pink Lemonade breast cancer awareness program! And they have a SUPER INCREDIBLY GENEROUS Military discount! I'll definitely be back. The Country music playing wasn't loud so you could hear the person across from you! The parking lot is not huge, but there's also free street parking. Do not wait to go here! Great find!! Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Arancinis were great! But unfortunately I got an arugula prosciutto pizza it was overall blah, the Prosciutto was a tinted brown as if it was old or sitting out in the heat. I am obsessed with an arugula pizza everywhere I go and this has been theworst I?ve tried. Crust was super good! , wayyyyy to little arugula and of course the gross prosciutto. Service was great ,nicolette was absolutely the sweetest! She was definitely busy the other girls helped her out being the only server on thefloor. But definitely wouldn?t be my first go to , rather go to circle tavern"

"the place was easy to find and it was nice and well joined together. Once we set ourselves, it took a minute until the waiter noticed that we were sitting down. it was a bit disorganized in itself the restaurant was not busy and it seemed that our server had only 2-3 tables. it is described as latin inspired, but had very little on the menu. the drinks were sunk and I asked them to make me another, and it was better, but not as it should be. eating was better I had the paella and it was really good with good amount of seafood and had the road mais. the streetmais was as if they took a mais and cut it into 3 small pieces. my partner had tacos and calamari the calamari were quite delicious. tacos too small. the best part was the churros who was alone 10/10. There is a lot of potential for the restaurant and where it is located, but there are some things they need to work on."

"that's a cool place to have brunch. large harbour and city view. eating was quite good, though a bit expensive. cocktails are very expensive. we just made wein and moimosa. we had high-profile seats that still had a great view. I think the igloos were really cool, but they hold bigger parties and we were just 2. I think that would be nice at night. I don't know if we needed a reservation because it wasn't too busy on Sunday at noon, but how the afternoon is going to pick up definitiw. looks like all people just got drinks and were standing on the balcony. that is also an option. it was not too loud or overcrowded. the personal was friendly."

"This was a cute little spot. Kind of like Victorian theme/feel. I went with my friend for brunch. The staff was attentive and the food was good. However, there was a drawback: the glasses. My friend and I ordered a bottle of champagne with our brunch. The glasses they brought us were Dirty!! Not just fingerprints or smudge. The outside had stuff gunked on that could be scraped off. Also they brought us one half glass of oj for us to split for a whole bottle of champagne."
