"Exceptional food in an authentic, non-demanding environment. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful, which added to the great experience. For bread lovers, there are 3 different breads, all of which are made there and are all wonderful. I stop on the way out of town to get bread and take it home to friends. My salad was fabulous and the vodka chicken pasta (a specialty) was cooked perfectly with a wonderful sauce. The specials change with the seasons. Desserts are all made there and everyone looked great. We share the ice cream on Sunday with homemade caramelized marshmallows and chocolate ganache. It was wonderful. You can share it with 4 people as it is very large. We will definitely have dinner here again when we return to Mayo and Golf."

"Great service! I haven't been this place yet and didn't know they changed most of their menu. The food is quite expensive, but the quality of the food was extremely delicious. Her steak was so tasteful and I have to say that they have the best steak sauce. It was so delicious. Her landscape is so covered and casual. We were there at night and I can't believe how many people eat outside. Well, it was really nice outside, but I liked the interior. I love how her wine room is designed. It sits right in the center of its building with glass walls/windows. It's beautiful! We'll be back with friends."

"I reserved an igloo to celebrate my birthday with my husband, parents, and in laws (6 total). We have never done anything like this before and had the best time. I typically don't write reviews but felt compelled to because of the unique experience. We had great service (both our server Cody and restaurant manager Gwen were taking care of us and were awesome), the temperature was perfect (they have multiple heaters on and blankets available in case you get chilly but also said they can turn up/down heaters at request), the igloo itself was spacious and well decorated, and per usual, the food was great. While it might be a bit costly up front, $200 is easy to hit with 6 people who are ordering food and drinks. We had the best time and I would hands down do it again. We all felt beyond safe as far as COVID goes it's your own little bubble!Perfect for a celebration of any sort, girls night out, you name it!"

"I like this restaurant generally. The food and service were excellent per usual. But I was frustrated by the fact that I made a reservation in advance, but I had to wait 15-20 minutes for a table. Their only option to seat us at the time of our reservation was a high-top table, which was not an option for me, as I am recovering from knee surgery. Plus, a high top is not necessarily comfortable for many people. They had no low tops or booths available. What's the point of a reservation? The staff was very courteous about it, but still..."

"We weren't able to visit on the fifth, but our reservation was confirmed for the following week. We ordered two craft cocktails called Dirty Flirts, which the menu describes as dirty Gray Goose martinis with blue cheese olives and crispy prosciutto. However, what we received were just two dirty martinis, likely made with Gray Goose, but without the blue cheese olives, and they were topped with regular prosciutto instead. While we appreciated the safe environment, we felt that the overall quality didn't justify the prices."

The waitress told me that the green peppers in my clam chowder were mild - they weren't and had to spit out with a burning mouth. Really embarrassing when I was treated. Instead, they gave me asparagus. Your only vegetable. They didn't notice that my water glass was empty and I had to request it. Backless benches to sit in the tavern / bar, but you can request an uncomfortable chair. Not a place where you, like me, eat a lot of healthy protein and vegetables. I don't like leaving a restaurant where I feel bloated with too much food, but I don't want to go hungry either. The coffee was good after the meal."

"I remember their salads being served in large family-style bowls, filled with onions and a delicious dressing, but that wasn't the case anymore. The salads now came in individual bowls, looking like pre-packaged garden salads that had been sitting in the fridge for who knows how long. The type of lettuce used was different, and even the dressing seemed off. I was so disappointed that I pushed it aside and opted for the minestrone soup instead. The minestrone was quite good, though it could have used more noodles. My family ordered a variety of dishes—there were five of us in total: pizza, eggplant Parmesan, chicken Vesuvio, fettuccine Alfredo, and bowtie pasta in creamy vodka sauce. My husband, who also grew up in the area and always orders the chicken Vesuvio, said it tasted completely different this time and was over-salted. He found the chicken dry and didn’t enjoy it. Thankfully, my bowtie pasta still tasted familiar. However, I found myself downing water because the food was unusually salty—I couldn’t remember it being that way before. The prices have certainly increased, which we’ve all become accustomed to post-Covid, but for five people, our bill came to around $177 plus tip. Only two of us ordered alcohol; my mother-in-law and I each had a glass of rosé priced at $10 each. To our surprise, it arrived in a glass that was barely filled to a quarter. I was not pleased with that. We were also shocked by how empty the restaurant was for a Saturday night at 7 PM—it was nearly deserted. Such a stark contrast to what I remembered."

"My husband and I lucked up on this place while taking my mother n law out for a birthday lunch. The wings were the best that I have had in a long time. We ordered non breaded with sauce on the side. They were very flavorful and juicy. My husband enjoyed his Chopped Salad with grilled chicken. I was thoroughly pleased with my New Salad with grilled chicken. Our waitress Stephanie was very attentive and presented my mother n law with a slice of cheese cake with a candle. The restaurant had a welcoming vibe with a relaxed decor. We will definitely visit again"

"Stuck in Mickey-land for a convention, a group of us were looking for a Sunday brunch spot. Oscar's at the Waldorf sounded like what we wanted and off we went. Although I'm not a lover of buffets, this one looked amazing, with more variety than usual, including a smoked salmon bar, prosciutto bar and honey dripping from a honeycomb! There were a lot of family's with kids, so it was a bit noisy, but that didn't really detract...everything the group of 4 tried, we loved. Only 2 things that were a little strange were that the cost of the buffet only included Mimosas, not **** Marys and there were no Eggs Benedict on the buffet??What impressed me most though was the commitment to making the customer happy. When I got to the salmon bar, it was empty, although two staff members I asked told me it would be restocked. When I mentioned it to our waiter, he came back and said they'd run out, which was disappointing. The manager came over an apologized, said they'd even sent over to the next door Hikton but they were out til Monday...not what I wanted to hear. 15 minutes later the manager appeared with a plate heaped with the best smoked salmon I've had in a long time....THAT is service."

"What an enjoyable experience! The igloos are incredibly cozy, adorned with lights, furry chair covers, blankets, heaters, and other charming decor suitable for an igloo. We were served by Anthony, who was outstanding—responsive, accommodating, quick, and fun. "We made reservations for an anniversary dinner. Ruth's Chris doesn't disappoint. Food was great, service was awesome and the ambiance was nice. This was a first visit to this location on LaCantera Parkway. Downside was my vehicle being broke into and ruining the rest of our evening plans. Signs said surveyed by camera - no necessarily true. The buildings are surveyed. Of course, not really the fault of Ruth's Chris but waiting an hour to report it since we live just outside SA was definitely a downer. Next time - UBER for sure."

"Absolutely wonderful time we went for our anniversary and they had the table set up so beautifully they even printed out a photo of us to keep as a souvenir, along with a champagne toast and free dessert! "Fantastic! This restaurant is definitely a wonderful place to dine. The reviews don’t do it justice. We chose it for my birthday dinner, and the dishes were simply incredible. My husband and I ordered the butternut squash ravioli, and even the kids' mac and cheese was delicious. The rest of my group had various dishes, and they had nothing but positive things to say about their meals. We were completely satisfied with the flavors, and the drinks were enjoyable as well. I ordered a delicious sangria that packed a nice alcohol kick, so it was my one and only drink, but I loved it. The service was also very friendly and attentive. Our server, Rosa, was polite and always made sure we had everything we needed."
