The steam rising from the skillet and the soft biscuit reminded me of nostalgic Sunday mornings from my childhood. The potatoes and eggs were cooked perfectly, and the chicken was incredibly juicy—definitely not dry!
Our server, whose name I believe was Alex or Stephanie (my memory can be a bit hazy), was fantastic. I had requested no bacon, and even though it was mistakenly added, she thoughtfully informed me before serving it. She never brought it to the table until it had been remade, which I really appreciated. Plus, the wait wasn’t bad at all; I initially thought it was due to the crowd, but it turned out she was simply focused on ensuring everything was perfect.
As for my husband’s Camp Pancakes—oh my gosh! They were huge, very filling, and packed with S'mores flavor. They truly nailed it, making us feel like we were right by a campfire! Southern Belle's Plainfield has quickly become a favorite, and I can’t wait to try more items on the menu. The atmosphere wasn’t overcrowded, and our food arrived at just the right time.
