"Well, I don't know about the other items on the menu. However, I ordered the chicken masala with garlic mashed potatoes and spinach. The chicken masala was some sort of rubbery meat swimming in a pint of oil(lard? , NOT SAUCE OR GRAVY. The spinach was entirely a bunch of spinach strings(no leafs . The reheated potatoes were not much better with large chunks left unmashed. Clearly, the cook did not do a good job. $25.00 plus tip in the garbage. One last observation: While waiting, I saw 3 or 4 people send their food back for one reason or another."

"Would go again This diner is a gem in a quiet neighborhood in comparison to suburbs closer to NYC. Sparta is a very relaxing town and Lake Mohawk near this diner is such a good R&R place to visit. In addition, you have this diner that has many menu items fit for foodies. My friend and I ordered the buffalo mac and cheese, southwest chicken sandwich, and BBQ burger. Gosh...all 3 of these foods were delicious! They have so many other unique foods and their milkshake looks insane...given the amount of food we ordered, we had to skip it. The buffalo Mac and cheese was some of the best I ever had. Creamy but cheesy and it did not get dried up as most mac and cheeses do. Interior is very clean for a diner. It has a old school but modern vibe to it. Parking lot has ample spots. Visit Lake Mohawk after a good meal at this diner."

"I visited this restaurant on Christmas Day and the staff were extremely friendly! The pancakes were absolutely delicious - fluffy and flavorful, the bacon perfectly crispy, and the sausage links were amazing. I would definitely recommend this place and I will definitely be returning! Update as of 1/1/2024: Still the best breakfast spot within 100 miles. The food is great and the servers are friendly. It makes me want to live in one of their booths full time."

"absolutely fantastic! the food is always good. today in particular I came in with my senior neighbor, and her walker. she is very picky and very specific about things.out waitresses was beyond accommodating, and didn't flinch at all of our requests. she even knew what restaurant was in this location prior, it's was stumping the 2 of us being local. "This place NIE disappoints. The food is ALWAYS at the point. Waitresses are always so friendly. It's my last time here, my friend. Good food, great prices, good service. I have another pastrami sandwich with frits and a Dr.Pepper with pimples on the side. Big sandwich this time on Ciabatta bread, not dipped. Great frits, nice and crispy like the new frits at Farmer Boys . Dr.Pepper had great taste. It was cold outside and was sitting in the fireplace. I will definitely return to this restaurant. Nice big portions. Thanks Peppertree Cafe for a great dinner."

"I have been eating here for years. The food is consistent. No complaints on that end. The service has also been pretty quick, short and relaxed. No frills food and no frills servers. However, I recently ate there and my server was Latrice. Latrice was very polished, hospitable, a great bubbly personality and it did not hurt that she was easy on the eyes. The great service she gave me is all a place like this needs!! She is truly a gem in this breakfast spot."

"Dinner ..SAD 3 tiny pieces fish no bigger then the slice of lemon. You wouldn’t get away with this in the restaurant so DONT treat your to go orders like this. All 3 pieces might add up to a nice piece …and maybe a 1/2 order of fries..so disappointing…"

"I normally order the skillet and it's good. This time me and my mom had dinner food early, and it wasn't, it was extremely bland. The table behind us send their food back and had it taken off their bill. Do not get the stir fry it's dry. Do not get the chicken Gyro, I asked for extra tzaziki on the side, however there was not any on the sandwich or much chicken. That was very bland too. It was so dry I had to drink a half cup of water to get the bite. I'm disappointed, I told my mom this place was so good. The soup and ranch was good. They also overcooked the cheese sticks as well. They were so crunchy it was hollow. I don't think I'll order again."

"Amazing place! They have some bread and garlic dip that is free and it is amazing. The food is good and there’s so many options. If I lived here I would try all the dishes. Will be coming back if in the area. There are clean bathrooms and the ambiance is great. They were playing drake and it was such great vibes. You need to come here! You won’t regret it. There’s something for everybody here! The breakfast menu is available for way longer than you’d expect. We went at around 4pm and it was still there."

"Is there a 6 star review option?! I am very impressed with this place. The dark haired lady behind the counter may as well have been three people. Rarely do I see someone as good at their job as she is. Her ability to take orders, communicate with staff and organize dishes/coffee while also greeting half of the customers by their first names and personal questions blew me away. She is one of a kind. The cooks were fast, efficient and built my “Mediterranean Bowl” perfectly. The waitress was kind, sweet, warm and prompt I wasn’t bothered and I also wasn’t ignored (the perfect balance). I just happened across Lite Bites while working in the neighborhood and practically stumbled in for lunch. Let’s just say it’s the best accidental decision I’ve made since I don’t know when! PLEASE visit these fine people and don’t forget to TIP WELL! They deserve it."

"A friend and I drove from Winchester for breakfast and it was definitely worth the trip!! It was so busy when we arrived, we got the last table! I have a baby in a car seat and the staff were so thoughtful in trying to get us the best table to fit the baby. Our server was a sweet older lady. She was so friendly and attentive and something about her made you feel like you were at grandmas house! I got an omelette and I thought it was great. No big to-do just a normal omelette and I loved it. My friend got the French toast meal and it looks delicious, she said it was great! The prices were very reasonable and the place was cute! I will be back and I recommend others try it!"

"So I'm from Michigan came down to visit my grandmother and stopped in for breakfast, it was so good that it literally mad me sad for the fact that I do not live here and can eat there on a regular basis.
