"Our experience on Mother's Day was not stellar. Although the restaurant was nearly empty we had to wait to be seated. The server put a great effort into demonstrating that he was memorizing our order but when our food was brought to us we were not brought all of the items we ordered and had to send people back for items we ordered multiple times. Our service was handled by multiple different employees, adding to the confusion. I ordered the moussaka and was quite disappointed to discover that my food was partially frozen. I guess freshly prepared food is not to be expected, but also it would seem food safety guidelines for heated food items are not being followed. All in all, less than stellar."

"We made reservations a month in advance for my son's 29th birthday at CIAO. We were looking forward to it as CIAO has always been reliable in the past. When making the reservation, I mentioned it was my son's birthday and requested a cake or some kind of recognition. We arrived at 6:30 for our reservation and were seated right away, but we waited 30 minutes for our server to come to our table. After ordering, drinks and salads arrived, but unfortunately there was a hair in my daughter-in-law's salad. Despite bringing it to the waiter's attention, he did not acknowledge it or offer an apology. When the food arrived, my son's steak was cooked rare instead of medium, and the server did not address it even when my son didn't eat it. We left the restaurant feeling disappointed and frustrated, as they never acknowledged my son's birthday and there was no cake. Overall, it was a waste of 2 hours and $280."

"To start, I ordered a London Fog latte, which was absolutely delightful. As a bread and butter enthusiast, I went for the baker's board featuring an assortment of breads paired with butter. While I wasn't particularly fond of a couple of the spreads, everything was incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor. For my main dish, I chose the blackened chicken Caesar salad. It was loaded with all the classic Caesar toppings, but they added red onions and hard-boiled eggs, which was a nice twist. I wished that the chicken had been freshly cooked instead of served cold, but other than that, the salad was filling and satisfying. Looking back, I feel like I might have shortchanged myself by only ordering bread and salad, but I’m definitely interested in returning for brunch—I just wasn’t in the mood for breakfast foods that morning."
