"Just take a look a the reviews. SMH. For starters, I love Pollo Tropical. However, the lack professionalism and respect to customer is through the roof. The cashier appeared to in complete discomfort by even opening her mouth to greet anyone or answer questions loud and clear. God forbid you ask questions in regards to the menu. Be ready to get an eye roll, a big inhale and a indecipherable mumble response. There was another worker to her right that was simply bagging orders without properly separating the takeout and dine-in orders. Like it happened in our case. The only 2 other employees that were helpful was a young man probably in his 20s that was able to translate for many customers that were having issues placing orders with the not so pleasant chasier. Also, there was another worker around 5’4 with glasses, appeared to be a manager, who was really helpful in trying to make everyone’s experience seamlessly. The only reason they are getting a 2 -Star is because the food was good and the help of the 2 employees just mentioned. Pray for patience and walk in at your own risk."

"How can you mess up a whole order and it is printed on a piece of paper??? My husband and I came all the way from Orlando to have a nice weekend in Sanford. We both love Pollo Tropical. Your location lacks in customer service. I spent $47.13 in 2 people. My husband ordered dark meat, he got mixed. Not a big deal. I ordered a 4 Leches and when my husband arrived to the car when I opened the bag and found out it wasn't there. The funny thing is when he went inside to pick up our online order he asked: Do we have utensils and napkins?? The young lady at the register asked someone else and I guess they told her they put them in the bag. Instead of opening the bag and checking she lied to my husband and said Yes. My husband came to the car and found out by himself they all eat rice and beans, Cole slaw, mashed potatoes and desserts with their hands. No utensils at all. What is the purpose of asking somebody if they want dark or mixed meat if you are going to throw things in the bag and don't care what they ordered and what they paid for. The bun is supposed to be bread not pudding. If you throw it in the container under the chicken is going to be wet and yucky. It looks like you don't take pride in providing Excellent customer service. If we were talking about a $15 order I would understand. But, I spent almost $50 and you failed to give me what I paid for. "This is my first time leaving a review, but the service was incredibly bad. The restaurant closed at 10:20 PM, not 11 PM as stated on the door. The waitress was impolite and rude, even cursing at us when we requested extra sauce. I told her that if she didn't enjoy her job, she shouldn't work there. In short, they need to hire new employees because it's evident that the current staff has no interest in working at this establishment."

"Latin America Food, everything related to grill chicken. I'm sad they do not offer boiled Yuca anymore, only fried .Place: Fast food restaurant, regular, not too clean not too dirty. Enough space to dine in. Parking space available.Food: Latin flavor, great. Perfect cooked black beans, price vs food is fair. The 4 leches was delicious ?.Customer service: Great, all my questions were answered, the updates on the menu, etc. Now they include avocado on some dishes.Definitely I will return to Pollo Tropical!"

"I ordered a whole chicken online, but instead of receiving the entire bird, I was sent four chicken thighs and a spine cut into four pieces. I was disappointed that the restaurant did not include the breast, which is the part of the chicken with the most meat and is considered the healthiest. It seems like they are trying to make more money by selling the breast separately to another customer. Overall, I felt deceived by this experience."

"This is the second time I have not received black beans on my Tropichop order. The first time, I got the regular Tropichop which had very little food and was mostly corn. Today, I ordered the Large Tropichop all the way, but it also had mostly corn and lacked the proper amount of food. I won’t be ordering from this Pollo Tropical again. This restaurant used to be good, but now it is not up to par. I tried calling ahead multiple times to ensure they included black beans, but no one answered the phone. When I called after my order was delivered, they answered but did not resolve the issue. The Forest Hill Pollo Tropical is much better. Additionally, the Lake Worth Rd Pollo Tropical did not charge for sides of black beans, white rice, and Caesar salad as shown in this review. They were actually $4.49 each. Strange, right?"

"So yummy!! Everything was so good except the Tostones (super dry and overfried. Whole Chicken With 3 Sides was moist, mashed potatoes were so good, rice was perfect, pork was so yummy and Fried Yuca was tasty and not greasy at all. We only got one of four sauces but the salsa was good. I have a feeling well be ordering this again very soon! No complaints from any of us is a win!"

"The food here is consistently excellent! I had five wings, and they were delicious, but I felt that $8 was a bit much for such a small portion. The girl at the window advised me to park near the entrance. I ordered a Cuban sandwich, but they accidentally gave me a chicken sandwich instead. However, they offered it to me for free, which was a nice gesture. The restaurant itself has a very stylish atmosphere. Overall, it was a great experience—thank you!"

"So yummy especially for lunch everything is fresh and the chicken is so tender. There?s a awesome guy in the window that helps with drive thru he has the best customer service. Was there on 7/11 around 12:00-12:30pm white guy black hair. I wish I had his name but I didn?t see it. Service was amazing and he?s always so friendly food was very yummy and I was threw the drive thru in enough time to get back to work and eat and have time left over which is awesome. Tropi chop with everything but tomatos is my number one fave item with fried yuca and the cilantro sauce. Have enough to split between lunch and dinner fair prices. I really think the guy should get some recognition for his amazing service as this wasn?t the first time I?ve been and seen him there and been 100 percent satisfied when leaving the restaurant."

"03/02/2022:You know, I don’t tend to give out one star reviews, ever. And when I do, it’s to give genuine criticism to restaurants to right the wrongs, for the next time.But at the time I’m writing this, My stomach feels like an electrical blender stuck on the 4th setting. I ate white rice from here and it was probably the worst white rice I’ve ever had. Some parts were soggy, some were undercooked and crunchy, it was an absolute disappointment.The only good thing about this place is the chicken, and even that was middle grade.Now I have no idea if it was a change in management, or the rise in prices, but this trip here was an absolute disappointment. As for the store atmosphere: it felt bland, it felt like it lacked life, it felt generic and staring out the window at the coconut point mall was more entertaining than anything I could personally think of.I really wish I could’ve given my trip 0/5 and I wish I could get a refund."

"I really enjoyed Pollo Tropical... the only reason it didn't get five stars is because someone stole my order. I don't know why the restaurant sits that you can go orders on a shelf right next to the door and it's unmatched. So everyone can go with a meal and no one will know what's happening to him...but the manager had prepared them for me a new meal, very fast.... But it wasn't happy ever because they ran out of curry mustard sauce when the thieves stole my meal... so my favorite dimmer sauce was 86 and I had to take care of something else... The food was as good as it can be for fast food.... It's always fresh, it always tastes good... But it tastes better with curry mustard sauce."

"When I walked in, I saw the manager casually chatting with a friend, his foot resting on a chair. There were only three employees working: one at the drive-thru, one preparing the food, and one serving it. There was no one at the register to help customers. Despite the chaos, the manager didn't do anything to rectify the situation; he just continued his conversation and ignored me. I waited around five minutes at the counter before anyone even acknowledged my presence. Once I finally got home and started eating, I was further disappointed. The chicken pieces were small, and some parts of the chicken breast were still pink and undercooked. The rice was extremely dry, and half of the sweet plantains were overcooked while the other half were undercooked. Overall, the food was terrible, and the lack of service and staff was equally frustrating. I won’t be returning to this place ever again."
