"What a mediocre meal. Can’t say any food was bad, just nothing great. To start off a nice lady sat us, was a nice crowd not too crowded. That’s when it got not great our server was TERRIBLE I mean TERRIBLE!!!!! Anyone can see most of my reviews are deserved 5 stars Piccollo gets 3 star for food and ZERO stars for service!!! We sat and waited and waited and waited again not too crowded, but normal nice crowd. Finally waiter came and I was just a bad communicator and could care less. I asked for a taste of a 2 red wines took forever he came back with one (the most expensive with such a tiny taste) then he took forever to come back. I asked for a taste of another and he came back with a full glass no taste. I was thirsty so I took it. But again bad communication he did not listen at all. Then he asked if we want water didn’t offer filtered house just brought us a bottle and popped it open and poured pretty presumptuous! And a fee he did not even ask about profit bottle. Which I often order but sure is nice, professional, and respectful when we are at least asked. We waited and waited and waited to place our order got some bread THANK GOD WE WERE STARVING!!! The bread was mediocre at best what Beverly Hill restaurant doesn’t have awesome bread????!! As we ordered, asked about veal and he points to duck I speak VERY clearly and veal means veal not duck. Order in, chopped arugula salad, eggplant app, pasta, veal. Over an hour from the start our food came no check ins from our waiter or anyone was terrible service TERRIBLE we were invisible and we’re a nice, kind, we’ll dresses polite couple who eats out a LOT! Salad was ok, not bad, ok. Eggplant app delicious!!!! Wine “good”. Aperol very good/normal. Pasta homemade good, not great, but pretty good. Veal huge portion with old school potato’s and veggies pretty bad, tasted like Lysol like canned mushroom sauce no salt or anything special on veggies VERY OLD SCHOOL *Chef this is Beverly Hills this meal should be amazing but was far from it. In summary food was “ok” but far from good, service was HORRIBLE AND VERY SLOW. WAITER please train this guy. Others look up “service”. Price very fair, assuming food would have been good. We’ll never get these 2 hours back. If you want a mediocre Italian place like you’d find in a strip mall you got it. If you want delicious LA/Beverly Hills good and SERVICE this is not the place."

"We arrived early and were asked to come back when they were ready for us, as another class was still finishing up. We decided to take a walk up the street while we waited. When we returned, we were greeted by three different people who seemed a bit confused. We were seated and placed our drink orders. After about 15 or 20 minutes, other people started to arrive, and the class began. We cooked our own food following their recipes and then shared the meal with 12 other diners in the group. For $35.00 per person, we received an appetizer, a soup, an entrée, a side dish, and a dessert, all while cooking with the assistance of their head chef. The staff was friendly and fun, the ambiance was romantic and dark, but the cost without the Groupon was a bit expensive for my taste. The head chef, Jeremy, was excellent. He delegated tasks efficiently, gave clear directions, engaged in great conversation, and explained the cooking process thoroughly. By the end of the meal, I had enjoyed two servings of Gnocchi, a bowl of Zuppa, two pieces of lasagna, about two cups of blanched carrots, and Banana's Foster. Overall, I will definitely be back. I enjoyed the hands-on cooking experience and the interaction provided by the staff, but Jeremy's expertise really made the class enjoyable. If it had been someone less passionate or knowledgeable about cooking, the experience could have been lacking. We will definitely return to try out their mid-winter class."

"In the past, we never needed reservations and never had to wait more than an hour for a fantastic meal. This time, however, the parking lot was empty, leading us to wonder if they were even open. We decided to give it a try and found that they were indeed open. Unfortunately, we were greeted by a rather snobby hostess (whom my partner later identified as Tracy). Her demeanor was far from warm, and we regretted not leaving right then. She directed us to our table without any warmth or acknowledgment and quickly vanished. After what felt like an eternity, our waitress finally appeared to take our order. It seemed like she had just come back from a break, as she smelled strongly of smoke. While enjoying our appetizer (which was delicious but quite overpriced), we were disrupted by loud conversations from patrons on the other side of the wall. They seemed oblivious to the fact that there were other paying customers trying to enjoy their meal. This excessive noise persisted throughout our dinner. On the positive side, our server did seem knowledgeable about the menu and offered decent service, despite it being overpriced. However, the obnoxious behavior of the hostess and the other staff really overshadowed our dining experience. It’s disheartening to see a restaurant that once flourished with great service and delicious food decline to such a disappointing level. I regret that we returned and cannot recommend it to others."
