"I stopped here for a quick bite. I initially wanted to try the fish sandwich but I couldn't stomach paying $9 for that combo and settled on the shrimp tackle box. I should've sampled it before leaving the location. The food tasted as if it had been sitting too long and overcooked (i.e., very chewy, rubbery). The temperature was sub-par. It's located near shopping trip with other food places and retail places. Parking spaces are very close, which made me rush to get in and out before someone could return to their car and sing my car door."

"I ordered the Big Buford Combo. The burger was a 7.7 out of 10; it wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was quite decent. The fries were good with solid seasoning—I wouldn't have complained about a little more seasoning, but they were somewhat cold, so I rated them an 8.1 out of 10. The ranch dressing wasn't great, but to be fair, I'm not a fan of buttermilk ranch."

"It took a little time to get a cheeseburger and milkshake, but there were only two guys who worked and the drive-thru got involved. Since they were busy, and there were only two of them and they were under much pressure, they held their cool and they were really professional. I was up to the window. And I wasn't in a hurry, even though I understand the fight. God bless the two young men who keep it out. It's hard to find good help these days and the two they were on their game."

"Happy, efficient, working as a team, etc. great example of a well run operation. Checkers' strawberry banana milkshake is addictive, but not all locations can handle a single window order. This place alerted each other to the window order and when it was ready, it was provided quickly by a third member. Quickly knew the sauces, etcSome locations completely freeze up and wont answer the window, keep their back to it, or forget it completely after the order is taken. Some also get offended when expected to know the menu.Everyone was enjoying their job, their company, and their hot 100degree day inside"

"The staff that worked tonight, 2/03/22 failed miserably. After I repeated my order twice at the speaker they claimed to forget to charge me for one item then had to ask me repeatedly about the rest of my order which they still failed to get right! No extra bacon on my blts the fries tasted like they were freezer burn and the forgot my sauce after asking what sauce I wanted! Sad"

"6/30/21 served moldy food After waiting in the drive thru for too long with two cars ahead of us, my friend went inside to order. She ordered a 2 piece Fried Chicken meal. Within that meal was a moldy biscuit... I didn't realize it was moldy until I ate more than half of it! I used mouth wash and brushed my teeth right afterwards! This morning I woke up with stomach pains and nausea! The other reviews say the service is horrible. I say the food is moldy therefore horrible too! Neither my friend nor I will be back to this location! My advice is to SAVE YOUR HEALTH and money and EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE!"

"Every time I go to the city from the suburbs, I look forward to arriving at the train station and getting my popeyes fix on; sadly, this is the second time in a row with significant issues.The first time was a communication issue with an employee who gets paid to mumble. When I expressed, I can't hear you, one more time? I was greeted with laughter on my face. I was not amused and left empty handed. No complaint was filed, as the manager witnessed the event; I assumed it would have been addressed appropriately with additional training. After all, this is a customer service position.Today, I ordered two 4 combo meals with a drink, nothing complicated. Unfortunately, I was left empty handed and was waiting for fifteen minutes to get my order. When I addressed the staff, there was no rush or care; they ignored me, didn't provide my receipt, and didn't get my meal. When asked for a refund because this delay almost caused us to miss our train leaving in 90 seconds , I was REFUSED reimbursement for an entire order never provided.As the two of us ran to make our train due to this entire staff's lack of time management, we are now taking a two hour ride back to the burbs....starving and additional out of pocket expenses 24 with a promised service that was never fulfilled.I will be contacting corporate over this, as it was the only negative review I have ever given a company on a google platform. Considering a few hundred reviews written for our community, that takes serious effort.In addition, I will be seeking reimbursement for the meal which was never provided. The organization is a significant issue at this specific location; had they called out order numbers and provided receipts, all of this would have been avoidable."

"Looking for a stylish place to eat? Checker’s Bistro! My wife brought me here for a birthday dinner. It was the first time for both of us, and we were very satisfied with the service and food! We had the roasted beet salad and lobster mac n cheese for our appetizers. I wasn't very excited when she mentioned she wanted to order beet salad. So I ordered the Macn cheese (usually we share an appetizer), but the beet salad was almost better than the Macn cheese that comes with Gruyere and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. We ate the grilled Prosciutto fig pizza and beef Bouruignon for our entrées. The Bouruignon was a big consolation for a cold December night. So much that our dinner was at 7:30, and we both wanted to go home and sleep."

"I went here on the 26th of 9 months, 2023 at 7 o'clock in the evening and I came in 14 minutes to get the customer's package. I waited for 15 minutes in this restaurant, which appeared on the shelf at the minute and was ready to open the window only in half a minute. Four staff appeared inside but only one person working Drive The tour is working. The window is reserved for the package. No one comes to the order window and looks. Even though they see us, they don't ask anything. Let's ask why these people came here. We knock on the window. They hear, but they don't hear. We say it loudly so they can hear. Look here. We are eating. If anyone sees a customer outside the window, they run to the kitchen. I mean, they are tired of this job, they should be sent away completely. These people, who are paid with the customer's money, are disrespecting the customer. If I were the boss, I would not stop them there for even a minute. Let the employee come. There is a lady there. I don't know if she is helpful or what. Her eyes can't see, her ears can't hear, she just talks about the employee. If you can't do this package job, please don't keep people waiting and don't take orders. Just work for Driver Tur, all of you, or go and sleep at home. The boss will send you your wages. Since you are useless, go and sleep at home. Why are you keeping people waiting with people's money? I think the employees think that the place where they work is a bus stop."

"I wish I could give this restaurant 0 stars for their terrible customer service. I purchased food but was not allowed to use the facilities, as they claimed they were out of service. However, I saw someone else come out of the restroom and confirm that it was perfectly fine. The cashier insisted we needed permission to use the restroom, even though we had already made a purchase. Their rules seem very nonsensical. I demanded a refund and will not be giving this place my business again. The workers were also extremely rude."

"The owner welcomed me with a warm smile and a handshake, and he suggested trying their pastrami that had just come off the smoker. I couldn’t resist, and that complimentary sample convinced me; it was hands down the best pastrami sandwich I've ever had! The side of house-made beans with pulled pork and bacon was outstanding as well. I was thoroughly impressed with my meal, especially given the great prices! After we finished our food, the owner, Chris, kindly offered to show us the smoker and what they were cooking up. The whole experience was fantastic, and the entire staff was incredibly friendly! I wholeheartedly recommend making a stop at Chubby's to enjoy this delightful experience. Thank you once again!"

"I'm more upset that I wasted the 7 and change because it was so late and I'm sure no manager was on duty at 1:45a.m. I had to toss my food, the lady who took my card first went and picked up my chicken patty for my sandwich out the fryer basket withgloves on then opened the lowboy frigde picked up a hotdog out of it that I also ordered and then dropped it in the fryer.Without changing the gloves she took the card from me and swiped it. Immediately I knew I wasn't trying to start anything andjust take the L. I looked at my card after she handed it to me and it was full of grease (she never changed her gloves) I askedfor a napkin to wipe my card off thinking that would've parked a brain cell to remove her gloves and wash her hands to replacethem but no. After she handed me my napkin she then proceeded to make my chicken sandwich, definitely wasn't going to eat thatat all. And after she hands me the bag with my food, she has the nerve to finally remove her gloves. I used to work inrestaurants and even though this is fast food sanitation should still be enforced. It's a heavier lady that worked the windowtonight 10/4/2022 that was not following the proper food handling guidelines. Sucks that I just wanted some fast food, but Iwasn't going to risk it with getting food poisoning from the likes of incompetent staff."
