"The appetizers impressed me the most! The miso soup was a surprising twist on an old classic, with amazing flavor and plenty of cubes—not your typical mix. The smashed cucumbers were incredibly refreshing and something I couldn't get enough of! However, I had some trouble with the shrimp egg rolls; the dipping sauce had a relish-like consistency that made it hard to apply. I'm not a fan of spicy flavors, so the spicy crab didn't appeal to me, and I found it difficult to detect much shrimp in the rolls, making me unsure how small the pieces were.
I was also torn between trying the dry frozen eggplant, tofu, or mu shu. I found the caramelized outer layer of the tofu quite unremarkable. As much as I try to give dishes a second chance, the taste just didn't sit well with me. Normally, I love exploring new foods and I'm open-minded about my tastes, so it's rare for me to find something I can't enjoy. I’m still not sure where the disconnect lies with the food.
That said, I would definitely return for the inviting atmosphere and the AMAZING appetizers, but I might also consider trying out another place next time."
