"My wife and I had dinner at Bardot Brasserie on 6/9/2023. Many restaurant reviews rate this restaurant 4.3 4.8 stars with sign, so although it was our first visit, our expectation was very high. Unfortunately, the very first talk with the host disappointed us a lot. We are still not sure, but the host asked us if we were there for the happy hour and pointed the bar. Was it how we dressed? how we appeared? Because I did not have a dinner jacket on? who knows. We honestly felt it was not an appropriate greeting to accommodate the guest at the entrance. We had a reservation.Anyway, our server Shannon was very professional and her service let us forget the awkward greeting at the door. Well done.Overall, we enjoyed the dinner, but few disappointing quality control over their dishes. My critic is a bit tough because this is 400+ dinner restaurant. They can and should do better.1. too much salt on butter2. too much salt on chips (beef tartare)3. Foie gras needs better arroser technique, ideally thin crust on the outside and maintain the silky smoothness inside"
