"Great night! But sevice and timing was off! We were told by the hostess that someone's order was cancelled but to talk to the sever. Finally got the sever he said I need to change my order. But then he talked to my friend and she had to change some of her order too. Once we figured out there was only 1 thing that they were out of I asked if I could substitute that 1 thing. I was told I don't think so but I will check. I did choose something else just in case! The sever never came back to tell me if I could substitute and I asked what was ordered. I had to ask him to check on my food. After that everyone else got their food and finished before I got mine. I didn't get a substitute but I got my second order. I didn't know that until I asked what was ordered. As I was waiting he ran by grabbed my beer to refill it and got that wrong too until I corrected him. I guess to make up 4 all the mistakes but didn't say anything until the end! He also got our drinks wrong earlier. We ordered drinks before a table after us was sat and we all got our drinks at the same time. Mine was wrong! In the end they didn't want to comp us anything when we asked. We were told we could talk to the manager and we don't usually do that. We said yes but they never came out, to take to us. The server did end up comping us my meal and drink but made sure to let us know that was not their policy! All of this could've been avoided if I was allowed to substitute the 1 thing on my order like my friend or if we all got our food together! Customer service!"

"Decided to grab dinner here after visiting the Ballard Locks which is no more than a 5 minute walk away. We came on a Saturday evening and it seemed understaffed where towards the end of our meal we only saw one person bartending and waiting the tables. Our waiter was kind but seemed overwhelmed since it would take a while for him to come back to refill water and take drink orders. Despite this, service was polite. I had the clam chowder and the chicken fried steak. The clam chowder was very tasty with a decent amount of clam to be satisfying. However, the chicken fried steak was OK. They were out of mashed potatoes and so I subbed in for tater tots. i was a bit disappointed in the gravy which seemed to split and separate making it look a bit unappetizing. Overall, my meal was okay and the service was okay."

"Clam Chowder, fish n chips, caesar salad, lemonade so good. Perfect combination for a little more beautiful lunch on a road trip. The Boston White Clam Chowder is the best I had in California, I don't know what they're in (can be a hint of white wine? but I could eat it because age doesn't get tired. Fish n Chips: so juicy, well seasoned, crispy shell (probably from batter. The wedges that came with it were the best texture/size (crispy outside, slightly damp Innards . Caesar salad: great dressing, cheese, quality ingredients; Croutons seasoned. Tart-Limonade, good for a hot day. Atmosphere: Chill w high quality food. Something self-service (water, they give you a tray w all ready to eat food, but otherwise most food is delivered to you on terrace. Unfortunately little to no shade on the terrace or rather, the tables w screens are first recorded. Even pleasant coz next to the water. Not much of a look, but it is fun to look at the seagulls and boats in the port. Would come back."

"super Italian food! a hidden gem! the best kalbsalinbocca I've ever had, so thin, not chew at all, simply melted in my mouth with so much taste, because it was so fresh! and the pastas...OMG! all homemade and cooked to al lete perfection! my man had the pasta ofo, which was also unbelievable with fabulous spicy sausages and great tasty garnels in a creamy kick-up tomato sauce, which was also delicioso torn! and do not forget to order the tiramisu, the decadent is still light and fluffy as it should be. make their reservations for this place today!"

"NOT A REGULAR? PROBABLY don’t go here :/I am appalled at my experience here. I was joining my brother for his bday dinner at Table 5 but while I was walking over (FROM ACROSS THE STREET) he calls to say the host would not let him hold a bar seat for one minute. My brother was singled out after she let a couple of couples blow right by her without question, but stopped specifically him :/Super disappointing since we are there once to twice a month but will no longer be back.We end up at Lucy’s instead. While there the host/owner (unsure due to level of professionalism) came over to talk to him about the one star review he had just left.Her attitude was aggressive argumentative very much a “sorry you felt that way” apology. She goes on to explain that she stopped him but not the people ahead of him because they were regulars. Unsure what’s considered “regular” since like I said, we are there semi frequently.After she whispered into the ears of several employees, our bartender (visibly upset seemingly angry at us) let us know our drinks were taken care of.We left cash for both the tab tip. But we will no longer be back, therefore unable to reach that “regular” status she’s lookin for. wonderful way to spend a humble little birthday.tldr: if you’re not there t sat, I wouldn’t bother."

"Stopped by for dinner on a Saturday night. While the space is really cute, the food and service are not good at all. After being seated, it was nearly 10 minutes before anyone came by to take a drink order. Ordered everything all at once at our first opportunity. The daqari was terrible very chemically and overly sweet. Our server chearfully replaced it with a glass of wine. And then we waited. Nearly 30 minutes after ordering, our apps arrived. The cheese puffs were tasty; the corn cakes decidedly less so. We again waited more than 30 minutes for our entrees... 2 burgers. Unfortunately, the server heard me wrong and keyed the beef burger instead of the lamb. As we were nearly 1.5 hours in at this point, I was unwilling to wait another 30 minutes for a replacement dish. The fries were tasty, but the bite of burger I tried was bland and somewhat dry. There are much better choices on this ends of town and I see no reason to try Blackbird again."

"My husband and I stopped by for lunch at the end of July and it was really good. We sat at an outside table, wasn't busy at all. Our waitress was great, came by and checked on us enough times, got our drinks pretty quick, food didn't take too long, and itwas all delicious. My husband has raved about how good the fried clams were (pictured) perfectly cooked in clean oil, and areally wonderful light batter. They were so good, those alone are worth the drive. Really big portion also! We also got theCajun Shrimp Pimento Dip (pictured) that was amazing, and I had a cup of clam chowder (pictured) that was really really good. Wewill definitely be back as often as we can and can highly recommend it."

"We arrived right before noon on Tuesday and have one of the last parking spaces available. All the time we ate it were people who wanted to find a place. So, if possible, come early! If you sit near where we were on the photo, you get a great look at the workers grab boxes of lobsters that they just store in the water. So cool! We share the $44 Rolls Royce Lobster Roll and a cup of shells. We had tried 5 different lobster rolls during our holiday, and without a doubt DIESER is the best we ever had. HUGE lobster pieces, mainly claws. Pour the drawn butter up, it is the next level. I'll have literally dreams about this lobster roll. The Clam Chowder was thinner than anyone I had on the trip and was just okay. The wild Blueberry Sticky pudding we had after OMG is not shown. It was INCREDIBLE. Save space for Dessert!"

"Very disappointed in this restaurant. We made a reservation one month ago for six people. Two days before our reservation we get a note from them saying, So sorry, we are closed for a private party on Dec 14th.... Did someone just book the entire restaurant three days ahead of time? Did they include any type of discount along with their apology? Nope...none of that. They simply tell our party two days before our reservation, Sorry buddy...you are out of luck. Wish you all the best in finding a new reservation for 6 in an area typically booked weeks in advance. Certainly not the worst problem in today 's world....but disappointing all the less. We will never go to this restaurant in the future."
