"Restaurant Chronicles: Brother’s Seafood Drove to a different condition for dinner. I missed my exit and I'll be there in 13 minutes. I wasn't sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. I wanted to become more regular. It sits 9 comfortably at the bar and 28 at the tables. The restaurant is located in a strip-mall. I went in and felt comfortable. Lucky wheel was up and Jenn, the bartender/Cashier said that Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune are a nightly thing. I found myself and near tables trying to guess the puzzle or clues while on full bellied shells or lobster rolls or crab cake. I ordered the three ways of combo of shells, scallops and Calamari oh And Portuguese soup as a starter. (First time for everything. Never heard of the soup, but it says it's mother soup on the menu. Very delicious, had lentils and potatoes, kale and a sausage in it. Yum! I'd come back to the soup. I usually don't post empty plates or bowls, but here we are... Laura, my waitress was wonderful, she said it was her second night! She did an excellent job to treat all her tables and make sure everything was wiped off!!!! (Me Singen loves it!) The place was extremely clean!!!! After my soup, my food came out. A very generous part for the price. I needed a mini togo box! While I enjoy my meal, customers still came to dinner and others made the call out. It was a warm fuzzy feeling that came over me when guests left and see you tomorrow was said! This happened several times. Many customers were greeted by their first name, I loved it. Customers caught each other. After my meal I went back to talk to Eric, the owner! Super guy, was in business for years! He knows his stuff! Win good New England advice! I could use it... lol I am so excited that I have gogled “satisfied mussels near me” even if it brought me into another state! I'll be like John regularly. I've returned since then and took my son when he went to college."

"For years this was our go to Chinese restaurant as it boasted very good prepared entrees, sides, salads, and more. In addition, the hibachi grill was well maintained and customer prepared plates quickly and expertly cooked. Finally, the sushi station was impressive with a very nice selection of freshly made sushi offerings. It simply had something for everyone. Not anymore. Pulling up to the restaurant on the busy Post Road, you are immediately struck by the fact that more than half the lights on the outdoor neon sign are out. Surprisingly (or not so much after our experience) there was no wait on a Saturday evening. We were promptly seated and a cordial and enthusiastic server quickly filled out drink orders. She was the star of the night. Time to eat. The hibachi was fine, but a long line prevented us from visiting here more than one time. The prepared entrees were not up to the usual standards. Mainstays (e.g. fried rice and lo mein) were flavorless and mushy. Chicken and beef dishes featured proteins that had been poorly trimmed and offered more fat and grizzle than meat. Most disappointing was the sushi. There was no one working the station and the meager offering of 3 varieties was far below the usual presentation. That would have been fine, but the cold plate under the sushi case was apparently not working and the sushi was literally at room temperature. Horrific. This restaurant has fallen from top shelf to feeding trough and should be avoided until things change."
