"I had a very disappointing experience at Black Angus. The service was incredibly poor. It's a long story that I plan to bring to corporate's attention. If you decide to visit, I highly advise against having Lisa as your server. Our food was mistakenly delivered to the wrong table, and the staff weren't truthful about it. There’s more I could say, but I don't think it's worth my time. Just remember to avoid Lisa!"

"We sat and waited for service while the people next to us came in after us and was served right away. The people next to us got their food first. My appetizer was a little burnt. When my meal did arrive I had to ask for a condiment that is served with the prime rib. The person who served the food had sneezed into his hand and also wiped his nose with his hand before coming out with our food. Did he wash them afterwards? Who knows. I wasn't finished with my dinner and they tried taking my plate 3 different times. Just not very happy with the way things went. It seemed like it's not what you know its who you know to get service."

"The lobster bisque was disappointing, with only two small pieces of lobster. The shrimp cocktail was laughable. However, the scallops for the entree were very good, and the small portion of elk was delicious."

"Ty is truly outstanding, both as a chef and as a restaurant owner. He consistently goes the extra mile for his guests. Everything on his menu—ranging from traditional Hawaiian barbecue to his mother’s pot roast, as well as his gravy fries and chili brisket macaroni and cheese—is absolutely delectable. If you find yourself in Simi Valley, this restaurant is a must-visit. The prices are very reasonable as well; the most expensive dish is about $15 for a generous serving.
