"The restaurant is part of a hotel. We were seated quickly but service was very, very slow. My wife is Celiac she ordered steak frites and because there was no dedicated fryer she asked for salad instead of fries. Even though she explained this deliberately, her meal arrived with fries, which contaminated the rest of the meal. The meal was remade 15 minutes later but arrived with salad that had croutons. Again she could not eat due to contamination concerns. Finally her meal arrived properly. The waitress was difficult to find and very inattentive. My daughter ordered crème brûlée for dessert 20 mins later my wife stepped out to go to the pharmacy 2 blocks away. She came back before my daughter’s dessert arrived. Service end to end took 3 hours. There were 3 wait staff but only 8 tables occupied all evenjng. When the bill came, there was no discount or comp offered. The saving grace was that the food was decent."

"Our family have been obsessed fans of J.Law ever since they were in Bethel. It remains our #1 must-have, can't-miss, always-in-love-with-it restaurant in Greater Danbury, so it only made sense when it came time for my husband's 50th birthday party that we'd celebrate it there. Kelly and Clara (who handles events) were gems the entire planning process, always answering questions promptly and with a smile. We actually attended some friends' baby shower at J.Law previously, and we were so impressed, we did it for his birthday brunch. They allowed us to customize the brunch menu for our guests, do some fun add-ons, and helped us plan the decorations and theme. It was SUCH a fun event, done in the side room, and it was private but open. I couldn't be more enthusiastic about the J.Law team than I already am. Run, don't walk, if you haven't already."

"Ok well the food is average at best but I think I was expecting better. My pulled chicken sandwich was ok but rather like chicken salad sandwich style . The veggie spring rolls were very good outside but inside they were very soggy. Really couldn’t tell what type of vegetables they were made off.The Brussel appetizer were cut in have and then seemed cut again very small in size . More like a dressing you would stuff in something. The desert was a peach cake that was ok but the peaches were canned. I think if they want to be better than just a pub they need to step it up a notch. I think the prices are reasonable for what you get ."

"There were 3 of us for roast beef dinner as my guests but you had run out. Fair enough we were late dining. Service good and 2 steak dinners were excellent however the 3rd person ordered beef dip and it came on pasty looking sandwich bread didn’t look good I would of sent it back but my guest was hungry he maybe ate half of it. I am not looking for anything however I think you should be aware. Also there was a loud altercation in the bar not your fault however rather unpleasant."

"Awesome brunch spot. The pastries are made in-house and some of the best I’ve ever had which is saying a lot. The matcha cinnamon bun melts in your mouth. The bottomless drip coffee is a bit spendy at $4.50 but so smooth and I got plenty of refills. We tried the Braised Bison Hash, Rye Crepes, and a daily special of duck omelette. I highly recommend all of them. The crepes are definitely a sweeter option but so good. Plenty of seating space and big windows. There were a few people working on laptops while we were there. There was no wait for us on a Saturday morning around 11am. They do add a 5% service charge to the check that is not gratuity. Can’t wait to come back."

"Sausage gravy: way way way too much flour... arrived barely warm. Sausage patties: well done and at the doorstep of burned. Served barely warm. Biscuits: large with just a hint of doughiness in the middles, not baked recently as the shortening had firmly set. Arrived room temp. Eggs: arrived room temp, no seasoning, bland. And then the haybale' hashbrown. A wad of al dente potato shreds, compressed into a cube then fried i guess. The inside was gummy, cool with some grey flecks which might have been oxidized potato starch. Coffee was good. Total bill was over $20. I tipped the waitress well, but should have called the food police on the kitchen. Dreadful."

"Came in for our anniversary dinner and we were treated like royalty. Chef Jay and Mayleen gave us an amazing culinary experience, we had a 4 course tasting and the anticipation of each course was exciting. We had no idea what we were getting until they bought it out and let me just say they did not disappoint. Our waitress Jess was awesome as well. They paid attention to every detail and I can’t wait to do something like this again."

"The Local Yolk is a cozy diner that serves delicious food with a friendly service. I ordered the French Toast Combo, which was thick and custardy, and came with whipped cream, strawberries, and maple syrup. It also included two eggs and two slices of bacon. The portions were generous, and the food was flavorful and satisfying. The diner is near the beach, and the prices are reasonable. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great breakfast spot."

"Not a bar person, but the evening lighting in here was pretty good for an hour or so of drinks and such while we tried to figure out how to get home to our apartment with all the roads closed due to a gas leak the waiter was very nice, the trivia seemed cool but impossible to understand over their sound system. Good vibes, good service, good food, interesting pregnant woman art in the bathroom, enormous booths and tables. Like omg as you can see my sister looks like she's 3 feet tall, possibly a garden gnome compared to the booth. She is of average female height. Do not recommend if you are a man who experiences fragile masculinity, you'll look tiny as heck in all the pictures of your Bros Night Out, my dude."

"I hate to give less than perfect reviews. This was our first time dining here and we had high expectations. When we arrived they were having their 1 yr anniversary celebration so the menu was very limited. There were 3 of us and none of us liked the food. Initially, our service was good, but we had a poor experience with a VERY rude server named Victoria. After we ate we decided to try their desserts. They had 3 options. One of the options was a Myer Lemon Hot Toddy that had a shortbread cookie with it. We all 3 thought it was an after dinner cocktail that came with a cookie since it said it was a Toddy. My friend ordered it. When it came it was an actual dessert. The lady that served it was very nice said she would take it back. Our actual server Victoria was very indignant and asked us if we thought the dark chocolate bread pudding as a drink too since it was also listed under the desserts!! We were also shocked that she would be so RUDE. Of course no one confused a bread pudding as a drink, but all 3 of us assumed the same thing. Either way, that was a poor way to treat a customer. I won 't be returning, but I wouldn 't hold this one rude server against the restaurant. We didn 't care for the menu or food, but based other reviews a lot of people apparently do. I wrote this primarily for the owner 's of the restaurant to know how their server treats their customers. We still tipped her well because despite her rude comment she did service our table well. Maybe she was just ignorant to common courtesy?"
