"Inside, we were greeted by a pleasant hotel reception area, followed by a stylish bar. Our table offered a clear view of the open kitchen, where a variety of clothesline bacon appetizers were being prepared. The ambiance was modern rather than the traditional charm I remembered from the Manor, but it was still inviting. Overall, the food was quite good, and our server was exceptional. The cocktails were fantastic as well. The clothesline bacon was flavorful, though it had a few burnt spots—something we’re not particularly fond of, but the taste was still impressive. My son declared it the best bacon he had ever tasted. Unfortunately, the margherita pizza was a letdown; it came out as just a plain cheese pizza. Our waitress explained that they typically don’t add basil for kids, but we requested extra basil. After trying it, we decided to keep it to avoid wasting food. The flavor was fine, but it seemed to have been made with shredded cheese rather than fresh mozzarella, lacking the delightful pools of cheese surrounded by sauce that I expect from a margherita pizza. Additionally, we were accustomed to fresh basil leaves, rather than the pesto sauce they used. Things improved from there, as my cocktail was outstanding. I chose the Quattro Quattro, made with Old Forester 100 proof bourbon and Cynar Italian bitters, which provided a fresh and delicious twist on a Manhattan. The 20 oz dry-aged ribeye, while possibly slightly smaller than advertised (perhaps around 15 oz?), was delicious. The sides we ordered—potatoes and asparagus/mushrooms—were excellent, although the Brussels sprouts were a bit overcooked but still packed with flavor. The steak was cooked closer to medium than the intended medium rare, but it remained tender. It came with a memorable tangy sweet sauce known as B1, a patent-pending steak sauce by David Burke. As mentioned earlier, our server was fantastic—very attentive and even removed the pizza from our bill, which I assured her was unnecessary, but she insisted it was the right thing to do since we weren’t happy with it. Overall, we enjoyed a lovely meal for the three of us, with plenty of leftovers, all for under $200."

"I had an anniversary dinner at 8 pm, and seating went well, parking was convenient. The noise and ambiance were good, lively, and fun. Victor who served us did a good job of being attentive and quick to help us with anything. Cocktails took 15 min but they were honestly great. However, the major issues were with the food. We ordered 3 for 24$ sides to try a variety. My partner had the steak and I had the short rib and polenta dish. Although we stated we wanted to start with the sides combination, before our entree. We received the steak and short rib first. We didn't mention it and moved on. The steak came in Med-well, when we had ordered medium rare. That we mentioned to Victor. The short rib dish was missing the Brussel sprouts listed, although small, still very tasty and tender. The polenta seemed to have dried out a bit in the bain or maybe over-seasoned, if the thick texture is what they were going for. The steak was fixed immediately which makes me think it may have been a table mix-up in the best case. Truffle Mac was good but underseasoned, Fries were vibrant with heavy paprika and peppers, which is great but again needed salt, the bacon bits were not making up for it. Spinach and mushrooms were good with simple oil and seasoning. Let's be clear, none of the food was bad, maybe I expected better execution from a team built on the David Burke name, or maybe those details like salt, order accuracy, and timeliness are just that important."

"We had our wedding at Drifthouse, in the middle of Tropical Storm Ophelia, and it was incredible. Penny, the event coordinator, was outstanding she was patient, kind, and made sure every want and need was met both before and during our wedding. The entire staff was nothing short of fantastic attending not only to us as bride and groom, but to every single guest without being overbearing, and seemed genuinely happy to be there and happy for us. Onto the food incredible and ABUNDANT! The passed apps for the first hour set the tone for an incredible night the lobster dumplings, lobster rolls, crab cakes, mushroom risotto arancini, baby lamb chops, and tuna tartare tacos did not stop coming! Every single item was the correct temperature and so delicious, people were raving about them. The servers were great at making sure every guest had as many helpings as they wanted. The dinner stations were equally amazing sliders, pasta, BACON, carving, raw bar our guests could not stop raving about the food. Every single person left full to the brim and so impressed, and most of them cannot wait to come in for a dinner! Of course it was the best day of our lives, but we cannot imagine having had this event anywhere but here. It was absolutely perfect and we can't thank the staff at Drifthouse enough for making our day incredible, even in the midst of a tropical storm! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"I have been in the restaurant business for over 10 years, and when a guest walks in with a child and 5 month old infant...You should make some sort of accommodations for them especially in one of the coldest months in the year. We drove from NYC, about 30 minutes to arrive. We were cruising down Edgewater and decided to grab a bite somewhere before heading back home. The maitre 'd or manager, when asked if a reservation was needed, looked at how my wife and I were dressed and 6 year old son, said NO but insisted it is best to make reservations online. Without looking at the dining room or computer to check for availability, he said this place gets booked pretty quick and we may be booked tonight. One of the hostesses looked at him (manager wearing glasses), made eye contact with me and looked back down at the computer with nothing to say. If our attire did not meet code, let us know instead of making us feel uncomfortable with non verbal messages. We were unaware of this until our drive back home. I understand restaurants have their own dress codes but come on...I have worked in some of THE BEST restaurants in NYC, Midtown, where you dine alongside celebrities, politicians, Diplomats, Leaders of Foreign Countries, etc. and we always made accommodations for those who traveled for our dining experience no matter what was on their back or covering their feet ...and with no doubt if a child and infant was present . Lost out on a very good customer. Wish I had tried the food after reading amazing reviews about the menu! Beautiful place, could have better service to match the ambiance."

"We began with the sampler plate, which disappointed us. It included three pieces of cheese, three croquettes, five small pieces of pork, and three empanadas for $59—definitely not worth it. The rice was hard and flavorless, and the tostones tasted pre-frozen, which the waiter confirmed. The $17 drinks were underwhelming as well, although the desserts were enjoyable. When the waiter brought our food, he accidentally spilled sauce on our table while serving. While we understood that accidents happen, he had to clean it up with antibacterial wipes that had a strong odor, as the orange sauce could stain the table. Unfortunately, no additional gesture was made to apologize for the inconvenience. There was also a moment when all the servers seemed distracted by a meeting happening near the dining area, which was quite unprofessional and distracting. For the birthday celebrations, some tables received sparklers while we just had traditional cake and singing, which was fine, but inconsistent. I ordered the filet mignon with a side of squash purée and Brussels sprouts for $49. I was underwhelmed by the sides, which felt more like decorative touches than substantial accompaniments (just a small swirl of purée and three Brussels sprouts). The steak itself was good, but the menu does not allow for substitutions on the sides. This restaurant was much more consistent and impressive in the past. It certainly has potential to improve, but it needs to start with its food and drink quality. Good luck!"
