"Haven't reviewed a place in a while BUT, a Bohanans is a must! Have been here twice so far, once for our anniversary and once for wifeys birthday! As you can see one was during the Holiday Season and the other was during February! With that being said, let's dive in! First and foremost let me start by saying a reservation from what I can tell is a must. If you do not have a reservation I don't think you can sit upstairs in the main dining area, however you still may be able to get a seat downstairs at the bar. They have stools at the bar and small informal tables there as well. We have only ate in the main dining hall so I will be speaking to that! Ambiance: As expected from any nice restaurant, this place is full of fancy decor, tables and silverware. It's not upscale to the point that you feel out of place but nice enough that you know you're just somewhere special! Dress Attire: The site says business casual, think of it as a Button up shirt for men, dress pants and dress shoes. Anything you'd wear to a meeting! The first time I realized people were dressed more relaxed (Think nice jeans a nice sport coat so the second time around I personally wore a Nice white t shirt, a cardigan and dress pants with clean white tennis shoes. There were poeple in Cowbow hats as well if you feel so inclined : The service: As expected the service has been top notch both times. They take into account any requests you make sure as letting them know its a birthday, asking to sit by the window (if they can accommodate , etc. The refills are always coming in, the waiter is always checking in and really makes sure you are having a great time. Absolutely worth every penny I tipped! The Food: Yes you made it to the most important part. What can I say, the food is just Incredible! They start you with a Candied Jalapeño cream cheese with crisp bread that is to die for! It's sweet with heat and not mixed in so you don't have to eat the Jalapeños. Next they bring bread with butter and the bread is always hot and fresh and perfect! As for the entrees we both got steak. The first time around wifey asked for Medium-rare and she didn't seem to like it all that much as it actually came out more rare than medium rare. The second time around she asked for Medium and it came out what we expected to be medium rare, so I suggest ordering a level up on your preferred doneness. I asked for Medium well both times and both times came out cooked to perfection! Make sure you let them butterfly your steak for the best cook! On the top of the steak I got the Mushroom sauce and my oh my, this is a MUST, if you miss out on the Mushrooms then you are not getting the full effect! As for sides we tried the lobster corn, steak fries, mashed potatoes, asparagus and spinach. Of course each side was delicious! The fries were not anything crazy but they were yummy. For me the true standout was the Spinach and Mashed Potatoes, each was perfectly cooked and the spinach was such a compliment to the steak! Keep in mind each side is big enough for 2 people so only 1 of each needs to be ordered! So! All in I have to say everything is just incredible, 2 times we have gone and so far the consistency is amazing, from the service to the food. On a quick not there is Valet parking up front for $10-$15 if I recall, just let them know you have a reservation. If not you can park across the street in the parking garage, you just have to drive behind the theater as the entrance is on the street behind it. Thank you Bohanans for the amazing food, service and memories. We will be back time and time again!"

"I have heard and read a lot of good things about Klein and Harris. So, one cold January day before a Theater Calgary performance, we decided that we needed to try it out. We had made reservations and were promptly lead to our table right...opposite the open kitchen so we could see all of the cooking action. We ordered our drinks (coffee for me and a Sazerac cocktail for my wife). My first quibble was the Sazerac... the authentic version should be made with Sazerac rye, which I know is available in Calgary (for example at Willow Park Liquor Store), but this one was made with bourbon. So, good, but not authentic, and at the prices they charge, Klein could use the real stuff. I decided to have two appetizers as my meal (the grilled Humbolt squid and the diver scallops) and my wife ordered the duck breast, which was described as shredded, but came as a complete breast. The squid was excellent, perfectly cooked with some green stuff on the side, but was a very small portion with only one tentacle a bit longer than my index finger. The scallops ere very good, as well, but I thought that for scallops was a bit much. My wife's duck came pink inside and was very tough and hard to cut, a disappointment to her when she was expecting something different. I also had to ask times for a coffee refill before finally getting it. So, overall pretty good food, spotty service and a difficult choice for me between and stars, but I finally went with due to the quality of my appetizer plates."

"I really, really want to like this place. This food is good, the ambiance is nice, but man, the service is atrocious. We've been there four times, and each successive time we ask, it can't possibly be bad again, can it? Wrong. The first time they had just opened. Ok, that's fine, I can understand you are still working out the kinks. The second time, we ordered drinks, appetizers, and food, and the appetizers took mins to arrive, which was BEFORE the drinks came. The drinks arrived only moments before the food, some mins in. This was a Sunday. The third time we decided to grab dinnerdrinks before going to a movie across the way. We though mins would be plenty of time...but not so much. Ended up having to rush out of there given how long the drinks and now cold food took to arrive. And the staff couldn't figure out how to award my open table points. Most recently we visited before having to attend a bday party across the street. There's no way we can be we thought. Wrong. At least the first round of drinks came out at a reasonable time, but the food order was so slow, and arrived luke warm at best. Upon delivery the waitress asked if we would like another round of drinks, to which we said yes. My drink arrived totally different than the first. Different glass, different shade, different flavor, even though it was the same drink. We asked for the check, considering we had the bday party, and needed them to remove my wife's second drink from the bill, because it never arrived. Again, I really want to like this place. The food is good, bordering on really good. The Spicy Wok Shrimp appetizer is amazing. The ambiance is very pleasant. Carmel Valley need a place like this. It's a nice bump up from the Rimel's that used to be there. But c'mon guys, you have to fix your service problem. You have a willingtobeloyal customer, but you keep screwing it up"
