"When we arrived, we were told no self parking, valet only. We walked in and went to lounge to have an appetizer and drink before dinner. At least 4 tables were empty but full of dirty dishes and leftover food. We sat down at a table with glasses and thought someone would be by to pick them up. We eventually moved them to another dirty table. We realized there were no servers. One employee did bring a bottle of wine to a table of six. She looked like management. My husband went to bar and the bartender stood in front of him and did not serve him our drinks for15 minutes. The bar wasn't even crowded. 4 people (one party) sitting on the end on our side. Three people on the other side. The party of 4 raised their hand and the bartender left standing in front of my husband and got them a refill. He finally got our drinks bourbon and a Diet Coke and we ordered a flatbread mushroom and fig and it was delicious. We were seated at our table in the dining room and our server Justin was terrific. Attentive, professional, and friendly. Our food was outstanding. The tables in the dining room looked and felt like cafeteria style tables and there were wooden placemats that were chipped and warped. We were VERY surprised as we were so excited about an upscale hotel and restaurant coming to our town. For the price we paid, we will not come back but our Compliments to the chef."

"My 2nd time and the last time going back. I will miss the food especially the salad bar. When making the reservation, the reception asked if we were celebrating anything special, I said yes, it's my daughter's birthday and we are visiting from Jasper. Got there, table between the automatic patio door and a table of 8 half drunk loud patrons. That's fine, we were here for the food anyway but the surroundings had a lot to do with we stayed for less than an hour. (I bet they love that coz maximum is 2 hours) We finished dinner fast and ordered dessert, maybe our server is going to surprise us with at least put a candle on the cheesecake we ordered? Not even expecting anything for free! Nope, nothing! The whole night was the trainee serving us who was very attentive but then I guess we didn't order any alcohol and comparing to the next table, we weren't as important. Paid the bill and as we were exiting, I couldn't resist but to ask the hostess what was the purpose of asking if it is a special occasion during reservation when there was nothing done special from the restaurant. The reply was "it's by requests only and it's usually just a plate with words on it" and "have something for the server to talk about". "So, you asked me and I told you but then I also have to request?? My server didn't mention a single word!" " I'm sorry about it! Would you like to talk to the manager?" " Nope, it's fine!" The moment is gone! So, my question is, what about the couple a few reviews up that received a nice SURPRISED dessert plate for their anniversary? Hmm??"
