"Reviewing as someone staying in the rooms. Not commenting on things to be expected of an old building, which did also present unique issues; Team not available 24 hrs a day as claimed A/C window unit in the base rate room was super loud and will not come to temp paint touchups were done in seemingly all empty rooms with a darker paint shade than existing, so it looks like a patchwork mess. This is an easy detail to get right but is a testament to the all around lack of care with the rooms. Carpeted room with what seems to be bleach spots or stains, blinds dirty broken They no longer have a contract with the nearby YMCA gym for guests, and mentioned this as being a more recent change Given these issues I was able to change rooms for an upcharge. The upgraded room had quieter AC, functional blinds, cleaner carpets. For the base room rate I expect better. The rooms look much bigger and way nicer in the pictures. This is probably a good event space and a relatively good restaurant but certainly not a good Inn in my opinion."

Gorgeous room in a beautiful place! Wonderful staff, very old-school vibes. Also: one of the best afternoon teas I have ever been to. Worth the trip just for that. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 View menu

Service was warm. Place was super quiet in case you are looking for lively place, this is not it. Appetizer and main course (bass with sunchokes) were good. The wine collection and cocktails were done well too. Ordered two desserts and both of them were just okay

We did not stay at the hotel. We went for the food, which was excellent and much more reasonably priced than expected. Our server, Louis, was an excellent waiter. FANTASTIC! I travel to Princeton a couple of times per year. I stay at the Peacock Inn when I’m in visiting. Recently a new hotel has opened in Princeton. I’ve checked it out and it’s fine. I still prefer the Peacock Inn. The Inn has much more character. The rooms are very nice. The service and the restaurant are excellent! Rooms: 5 Service: 5 View menu

We love the Perch restaurant at the Peacock Inn. We've been going for several years and have sampled food from different chefs. Service is always excellent and welcoming. Food is excellent and the wine and cocktails splendid. Highly recommended for a special night out, All things considered, it is our favorite restaurant in Princeton.

We hosted our small (45 person), unconventional wedding at the Peacock Inn and could not have been more pleased. We got married in the back garden, had the cocktail hour in the front garden, and a luncheon at the restaurant. Julie, the manager, was instrumental in making our wedding day memorable and perfect. She was incredibly professional in the planning responding promptly to our questions, paying meticulous attention to details we hadn't even thought of, accommodated all of our requests, and even recommended several florists. Julie is truly an exceptional manager. Many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue is and the excellent food and drinks, which speaks volumes about the...

"When you walk in the vibe is relaxed, warm, and inviting, as if you were having dinner in a friend 's kitchen. There aren 't an overwhelming amount of choices but there is something for everyone. While you wait for your meal, enjoy the delicious flatbread. I am on a diet but everyone else loved it. What is delivered to your table is absolutely delicious. My daughter, who has eaten there before, raved about their house dressing. How excited can one get over salad dressing? It was so good. She ordered the Parpadelle Meat Sauce. She loved it. It was a lot so she took half of it home. Her boyfriend had the Apricot Walnut Salad. It looked delicious and he really enjoyed it. As I mentioned, I am on a diet so I was happy to see the variety of salads. I ordered the Pasta Fazool, yum, and the Beet Goat Cheese Salad; I added Shrimp. It was delicious, especially the shrimp, well seasoned, and they weren 't cheap on the beets or goat cheese which made me happy. It was topped with that salad dressing and, my daughter was right, it was delicious. My husband, whom we affectionately refer to as Bob the Food Snob , had the Frutta del Mar. He always sends his food back but loved this dish. The pasta is fresh, the sauce perfectly seasoned. We ended the evening with zeppole shared for the table. It comes with Nutella. My daughter 's boyfriend joked that zeppole filled with cannoli cream would be outrageously delicious. I ordered that and the Nutella. I expected the cannoli cream to be typical. It was really light. Yes, I had a taste because they were all talking about it and dessert is my thing. Brad was right, zeppole and cannoli cream is delicious. Put that on the menu! We are going back!"

"Update: 4/10/2022 Came here recently with my wife on our way back from Philly. Hadn’t been here since the pandemic and was pleasantly surprised to see that this place was still here. Ordered the same thing I always do and quality is still good. I’m so glad this little gem of a place is still in business. Prices have gone up a little but so has everything and most restaurants since the pandemic. A hidden gem. Ok, so it’s not one of those fancy Tokyo or New York quality sushi but then again, you’re not paying $500 for dinner (per person) either. I always eat the same thing here — the battered squid dinner plate or lunch, if you’re having it at lunch, with a squid roll and it comes with salad, too. My wife orders the Sushi Boy A or B. It’s a combo plate of such I. And there are lots of other great choices. So far, everyone I’ve taken there, really like the sushi. By the way, my wife is Japanese and she loves sushi (she knows what’s authentic and what’s not). I’ve been to so many of those all-you-can-eat sushi buffet joints where you pay anywhere from $12-20 per person but always end up disappointed. No one would expect to find this place...It’s in a hidden food court surrounded by stores like Gymboree and offices, etc near the Westin hotel in the Princeton Forrestal Village square. While it may be off the beaten path, this place will not disappoint. I’ve been going there for at least 7 years."
