"We visited 11/06/21: ALOHA! Welcome to the Tiki Terrace! The Tiki Terrace is a very entertaining place to visit! This is the closest to being in the islands that you can get without leaving the chicagoland area. We had our reservation which you can start by visiting their website. We got ther We at 4pm. The service staff is extremly polite and kind! You are automatically served water when you sit down. You are given 2 menus, one with appetizers and package options, the other one has their drinks listed. You automatically get the aloha dinner which is pulled pork, meatballs, and a bbq chicken. We opted for the couples package which included a lai for each person, and the following menu options (this is in addition to th aloha dinner). You get to choose either potstickers or pork eggrolls and taro chips. Having had taro many tines i had never had taro chips before, i was pleasantly surprised they were great and included a mango type salsa. For the drinks, our package included 2 drinks frim the drinks menu, plus another regillable sotdrink or tea as well. I got the original mai tai which was not too sweet and had a perfect taste. My girlfriend got the tiki mai tai which was a little bit sweeter and was good. We added an additional appetizer and got the coconut chicken sliders, you need to order these, they are delicious. The dinner is served family style on a bed of rice. Everything was delicious. When the show started it was around 5:15, and it was fun and interactive! You are transformed into a tour of the islands ranging from Hawaii, to Easter Island, to Fiji. The dancers change into different costumes based on what island is being represented. Since we were going there for my birthday i got called up on stage to learn a dance with a few other people that wss fun! This is a very entertaining place to visit, and very nicely decorated. When we were done and walking out it was about 6:15pm. I cant thank our kind server enough she was very pleasant and friendly and helpful by suggesting items that were her favorite. Over all i rate my experience a 20/10 and will definitely go back!"

"During our last visit yesterday, I ordered a combination of NY steak and coconut shrimp with potatoes and sautéed spinach. It was just okay—not enough to impress. There were three of us, and we decided to try the dessert sampler featuring a brownie, a so-called miraculous sundae, and a red velvet cupcake. Unfortunately, it was all terrible! The "miraculous sundae" consisted of a ball of vanilla ice cream in an oversized bowl with a teaspoon of caramel at the bottom and a teaspoon of fudge on the plate—it was quite odd. The brownies were crumbly and overwhelmed with whipped cream. The red velvet cupcake was dry, overly crisp, and had a rock-hard top. The frosting looked questionable, like spoiled milk, which my server suggested had been left at room temperature for too long. I couldn't even bring myself to take a bite of that mess. The General Store Manager, Bill, seemed visibly frustrated and embarrassed when I shared my experience, especially as I pointed out the dessert plate in front of other customers. This visit would technically be free because I wanted to use a menu that Bill had given me back in January 2010 when my dish arrived with a hair on it. Perhaps it’s just me, but it feels like this restaurant has cursed my dining experiences. I'm done with this place and will never return. I’ll pass the menu along to someone else and keep my thoughts to myself from now on."
